After shutting down and rebooting, I find I have no folders on display on the desktop and when I click on the Finder icon, a message comes up that says "the application Finder cannot be opened" followed by the number 10810. HELP!

You could do it by cloning. I have read OSX installations of a single version can be machine specific too, so even if this were a Tiger compatible drive a clone might not work. I haven't seen anybody actually state a specific case where they had problems on a machine compatible with the OS version because of this though. The last case I can recall of system specific installations was back in OS7 days with system enablers. I have moved Tiger between machines by moving the drive with no problems, but the machines were pretty similar models (both Quicksilver, just a year difference production model).

What version of iTunes are you using? The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

By the way, Mattban and Sancasslano, are either of you also experiencing any of the following issues:
* Problems with Contacts either crashing or listing no names
* Problems with turning iCloud on or off for application under Settings->iCloud... On both mine I just get a pop up saying that iCloud is being turned off but Contacts then just locks up.
* General problems when trying to synch applications on the iPad or iPhone over iCloud?
I am wondering if all these issues are in someway related to and whether it is worth trying to turn off iCloud somehow, though I cannot work out how this can be done once set up.

Try running Adobe Cleaner tool once :

Check for CS 3 option and remove it.
Note : Do not select Clean all option, it will remove all Adobe apps installed on your computer.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. The music is stored on the iTunes library. This library isn't deleted when you uninstall or reinstall iTunes, so you will keep everything. Anyway, it's better to make a backup of the library. Apart from that, you can download the purchased music as many times as you want

See if any of the following fix it.
Try logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'Sign Out' on the popup and then log back in.
If that doesn't fix it then try closing the iTunes store app via the phone's multitasking bar and see if it works properly when you open the app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag iTunes from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and the click the home button to close the taskbar.
A third thing to try is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

Can't get in the internet (no problems with explorer) it says untitled and when I click on abokkmark it says loadind for about one splitsecond and back to untitled

I cannot open any site with firefox, but have no problems with explorer. on the tabbar ontop it says untitled and when I click on ant bookmarsite or click on a link in an email from outlook, the untitled will change into loading (for only one split second) and right back to untitled.

In trying to open jpegs to examine, I now receive a message stating "The application preview is not open anymore". I can't see my images. Whats the problem here. This is a brand new 27inch iMac.

IMHO the free apps are a band aid fix. If the OP uses Office on a regular basis he will need to upgrade anyway. Personally I have used neooffice and found it substandard however that was just my take. I haven't tried Google's solution.
We both forgot to mention the OP could also use Pages and Numbers to open their Word and Excel files. If he uses Entourage then Mail and iCal would be viable substitutes.

I don't care how old it is! I have a 5 year old dell laptop and a brand new dell laptop but I still get the same updates for both from windows! I don't do contract phones, Its the biggest money sham in the market. So, that being said im not spending my hard earned money on a new phone when I have a perfectly good one now! Apple just needs to appreciate all of there customers not just the ones that have their newest phones. Period.

Just Lately I am having a problem with my netflix. It reads error Please make sure that your device has network connectivity and the date and time settings are accurate. I reseted my device uninstall app and then reapply everything again. When I go on to my Itunes account and try to update it reads unable to install updates cannot find server. How do I fix this!!??
