I cannot access through any pinned firefox on my laptop

I am all of the sudden unable to connect to the internet through firefox. This is the only supported browser for my school, I really need to find a fix:)

Type '''about:preferences#advanced'''<Enter> in the address bar.
Under '''Advanced,''' Select '''Network.'''
Look for '''Configure How Firefox Connects''' and press the '''Settings''' button.
Check the settings.
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set
to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
* Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
* Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

  • I cannot access the internet using firefox. The little toolbar identical (the far upper right in the screen) pops up and nothing else happerns. This has only started very recently and I have not had this problem in the past.

When I click on the icon for firefox, a little toolbar (the one you see in the top right corner of the screen) pops up and nothing else happens. I'll close it out and retry, with only the same results. I tried Firefox safemode, with the same result. Like there is something blocking me, but I don't know what. It doesn't matter if I've been on the computer for some time or just started up, I cannot access the web thru Firefox. This has only started in the last couple days. Previously, I've never had this problem. I haven't loaded any new programs anytime recently to account for this. I use Norton for my anti virus program which is the newest and had since end of December. I am not happy having to use the windows internet explorer, so would be very happy to get this resolved. Should I uninstall the mozilla program, and then reinstall it?

"I have an ethernet cable in port 1 on my computer. That is configured manually to access ther office network."
Do you have a "real" IP address or a private (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.x.x.x) IP address?
"The wireless router was connected to the company server only for the purpose of getting me online through Airport because I couldn't access it using an ethernet connection"
Could not access it because their network security blocked you by intent, or had some unknown technical difficulty?
Unless you are blocked by intent or ommission (if they have to explicitly allow your machine) I can think of no technical reason why your wired connection should not both get you on their network and on the internet in general. You should not need to be dual homed (though dual homing should work as well).
Please answer the questions above when you can - I think solving the wired LAN issue will be easier if you are not being intentionally blocked.

  • Cannot access to any site with ssl connection and fail to open safari and keychain, unless restart computer and login in with Guest account.

when Update to 10.7.2 ,I cannot access to any site with ssl connection and fail to open safari and keychain, unless restart computer and login in with Guest account.
    OS:10.7.2
    Macbook Pro 2010-mid 13inch

I also have the same problem, however if I use Firefox or Opera sites with ssl connection work fine. Still, I can't use Google Chrome (ssl), Safari (ssl), the Mac app store (generally), or the iTunes store (generally). Both the iTunes store, Safari and the app store won't respond, and Chrome displays this error: (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT). The problem persists regardless of what network I'm using. Also, when trying to access the keychain or iCloud, the process will not start (will hang). I didn't have these problems at all before updating to 10.7.2.
Sometimes rebooting helps, and sometimes not. If the problem disappears by rebooting, then it only lasts a few minutes before it reappears. It is very frustrating, especially since there doesn't seem to be any obvious or consistent way of which to fix it.
    I'm also using a Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2010.

  • [network access] User cannot access through network

    Hi!
I'm facing a strange problem now.
One of the users of my WD Personal Cloud cannot access through network share. When he tries to login the same fails and the login is prompted again. This happens in Windows but happens also in Linux.
When the same user tries to login in the mobile cloud app or in the browser (only in windows because after all this years the browser cloud funcionality still not works for Linux users, a shame...) it works as it should be.Also i tried to create a new users and happens the same, in the app or browser works great in network share simply refuse to login! I already rebooted, turn off, disconnected and did other things but nothing worked.
There are 9 users and 10 share in he cloud and the firmware version is v04.01.04-422. The diagnosis is OK!
Thanks for the help. Best Regards.

Hi again! There is no error. When i enter the share ask for the login credentials, i insert user and password and when i click ok simply ask the credentials again, and again, and again... It's the same compotment as if the credentials are wrong but they are not, i use them for online login in wd2go.com or mobile app and they work. And another thing is that if i create a new user happens the same, i can login in mobile app and wd2go.com but in the windows share (or samba share if in Linux) it fails without any error, simply ask for the credentials again and again and again... The old users works fine. The comportment is same with IP or name. Thanks for the help, Best Regards.

  • I have downloaded the latest version of Safari, but I now cannot access my e-mail; Firefox can!!!

I have downloaded the latest version of Safari, but I now cannot acess my e-mail; firefox can however!!!!!

This solution I have already tried; it worked for actually accessing the net (which was my first problem with the new Safari), but I was unable to access my e-mail.  I have tried the suggested solution, before I received this message, of emptying my Safari cache after logging on to the net - did not work. still locked out of email.  Attempts to logon gets the following in the Safari address line
    "https://loginprodx.att.net/commonLogin/igate_edam/controller.do?TAM_OP=login&USE RNAME=unauthenticated&ERROR_CODE=0x00000000&ERROR_TEXT=Successful%20completion&M ETHOD=GET&URL=%2FFIM%2Fsps%2FATTidp%2Fsaml20%2Flogininitial%3FRequestBinding%3DH TTPPost%26PartnerId%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Flogin.yahoo.com%2Fsaml%2F2.0%2Fatt%26Target% 3Dhttp%253a%2F%2Fmail.yahoo.com%253f.lts%3D1334925612%3Ftucd567%3Dw&REFERER=http %3A%2F%2Fatt.my.yahoo.com%2F%3F_bc%3D1&HOSTNAME=loginprodx.att.net&AUTHNLEVEL=&F AILREASON=&PROTOCOL=https&OLDSESSION="
the quotes are mine to delineate the entire message.
I am now also getting an ATT message that says "Unknown Destination".  That may be an improvement, but certainly not any lead to an answer.
This suggests that there may be a problem w/ ATT, but  I need to explore the Safari issue further to in order to be able to push harder on ATT.

  • Cannot access security settings from firefox dropdown box in Windows 7 home premium (laptop)

This is a new HP laptop with Windows 7 Home premium
There is not a firefox world in upper left corner, there is a box that says firefox with a drop down which does not include security settings.

You have version 4.0.1. The Options dialog can be accessed either way --
orange Firefox button > Options > Security tab
Tools menu > Options > Security tab
To display the classic menu bar temporarily, tap the Alt key or press F10. To make that permanent (and replace the orange Firefox button), use View > Toolbars > Menu Bar.
    Does that help?

  • I cannot access my emails in Firefox, I can with any other browser

When I click and open firefox, the comcast homepage opens and shows that I am signed in with my screen name. When I get the next screen with a preview of 5 emails, the option is to chick on the message, see entire list of emails. When I click on that it recycles back to the same preview screen. I can access the internet at that screen, but no access to my emails.. the automated troubleshooting did not work, please advise me what to do
    Charles Garrod

I tried everything suggested and nothing helped, I just read a comment by Bob Rankin and he suggests that I go into my HOSTS file in 32\drivers\etc\Windows\system32\hosts and look for strange or unkown hosts names. I will try that

  • I cannot access the internet with firefox any longer. I can with Internet explorer so I know it is not my internet connection. I reinstalled firefox and still have the same issue HELP!!!!

All I get is "unable to connect". Any suggestions? If I start in safe mode with plugins disable it will connect..................

I notice that the home page redirects to a secure (HTTPS) address. I wonder whether there is a setting blocking this? What if you go directly to a secure page -- will it load?

Your add-ons list shows AVG, ZoneAlarm, and McAfee products. Could one of them be blocking this site? See whether you can add exceptions or just disable them temporarily and test whether that helps.

  • OWA Cannot access through WIFI

Until a couple of weeks ago my OWA connection to work was working perfectly at home on my laptop connected to my Wireless router.  Suddenly it has stopped working.
I also have my iPhone connected to the exchange, which won't work whilst connected to my wireless, but if i turn off the wireless connection on the phone and use a 3G connection it works perfectly.
We have lots of users accessing via OWA from home.
Any ideas why my wirelss router would seem to be blocking my connection to OA?

My problem is almost identical to your with the exception being that i can login to OWA but emails are not listed.  In addition to that nothing is selectible using the mouse, not even the logout link.  It's like it's frozen but you can move around
freely with the mouse but there is no response when you select the Sent Items folder; for example.
I tried using a tablet at work using the built in AT&T mobile connection ... worked perfectly.  Took the tablet home, connected to my wireless router, authenticated to OWA, same result ... OWA opens but no emails are listed and unable to select
anything.  Have to close the window to get out of it.  Tried compatibility mode and a host of other browser settings.
unable to reset my router at this time b/c applying MS updates and don't want to interrupt the connection.
i'll reset my router and report my results within a few days.
    BTW: using WPA2-Personal

  • Ever since installing Thunderbird, I cannot access Outlook-online in FireFox

I installed Thunderbird to backup my Hotmail/Outlook email the night before last, and ever since when I try to access Hotmail it opens, but most of the screen is blank, and none of the links to the Inbox or any of the folders do anything. I tried to save the screenshot as a .bmp & .doc so I could upload below, but both times it gave a vague error message that there was an error....
    Thanks,
    dorothy

    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the '''Browse ....''' button below the '''''Post a Reply''''' text box to upload the screenshot.

  • Cannot access yahoo email on firefox. have to use internet explorer. ugh.

after i sign into yahoo email i get an error page that tells me it cannot be found. same for my business email.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    2. If needed, delete the site's cookies
Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    ''or''
right-click the page, choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Carefully remove the site's cookies individually, do NOT click remove "all" unless you really want to remove all your cookies (there is no undo for this dialog).
    Does that help?
