When I try to access Yahoo Games Bridge the system will not allow me to download the applets necessary. This has happened before after a software update and it is a complete pain. I can go back to a old version of Java but the security is apparently not good. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks lllaass but I have enabled Java. I did manage to get into the site by setting the Java security level to the lowest setting. There was a warning but it did let the site load after I excepted the risk. Thanks again!

How do I access my bookmarks by file folder after the latest upgrade?

I accepted the latest upgrade and must undo. I cannot find bookmarks -- for example I have a file folder for knitting that contains bookmarked sites for yarn shops. The reason I have these bookmarked is so I don't have to remember the names. I can't get to other bookmarks because I don't remember the exact name of the bookmark. This is a mess! I was trying to get to a local site that I've been into over the past couple of years. Instead of taking me to that site I get a list of Google Search Results -- my local site is not even listed. This is a mess!

You can open the Bookmarks in the sidebar via View > Sidebar > Bookmarks (Ctrl+B) 
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily as already posted above.
You can find toolbar buttons to open the bookmarks and the history in the sidebar in the toolbar palette and drag them on a toolbar. 
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

TS3899 I cannot send emails that have attachments on either my iPhone 5 or my ipad. This has happened before.

For some reason I cannot, out of the blue, send an email that contains a PDF attachment. I have shut off my ipad and iphone5 , as this is happening on both, removed and added email accounts, and nothing works.

We are not remote at all. Sitting in the fantastic Pavilion Hotel in Phnom Penh. Another couple here having trouble but not bigpond. Hotel staff have tried to help but to no avail.
Giving up and stick with gmail until we get home then start trying to get resolution.
Problem actually existed on a personal wi fi network in Melbourne before we left so I should have tried to resolve it then.

HT203167 Someone has been using my credit card to download games. this has happened before when I had a different credit card on my itunes account. the apple store on that previous time would not give me the ip address where the downloads ended up.

Someone I entrusted my computer to for repairs decided to keep it. all my personal information was on the computer. the peron has been using my credit card information o make ourchases from the apple store. If I do not have a credit card on the account on my iphone, I am unable to updatw it or my ipad. After persuading the apple store people to delete the last credit card info, I had to put aother credit card on the iphone to be able to update the software and thevapps. now that card is being used by the person o download war games on the new card. I cannot find any of his downloaded games on any of my devices. I am close to giving up my iphone and ipad. the last time i called the apple store, theynwould not give me the IP address of the omputer the games were downloaded to. they only gave me the name of my ipad. anyone could name thir ipad according to the name on mynipad. I have found the Apple store less than friendly about security matters like this. Is the credit card registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Cannot install "plugin/extension name" because Firefox cannot modify the needed file. This is happening for any and every kind of plugin theme you could think of. This started when I upgraded to Firefox 11 just now.

I just upgraded to Firefox 11.0 (unwillingly) and I get the following whenever I try to install ANYTHING at all. Themes, add-ons...it doesn't matter, the result is the same.

If the fix requires installing a plugin...well, that's not going to work obviously.

You shouldn't see such an error. 
That error usually indicates that an extension or dictionary needs to be unpacked to make it work.
Firefox 4 and later no longer unpacks an extension automatically, but renames the XPI file to the ID of the extension and copies that file to the extensions folder in the Firefox Profile Folder.
If an extension needs to be unpacked then there should be an unpack directive (<nowiki><em:unpack>true</em:unpack></nowiki>) in the install.rdf file of that extension
You can try to set the Boolean pref extensions.alwaysUnpack to true on the about:config page.

The crash occurs when I try to enter a lobby, or sometimes even when I am just entering in the validation text (the random letters they show you and ask you to re-type)

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Backup catalogs wouldn't have helped with this problem anyway, but naturally, you shouldn't delete backup catalogs for a while.

I've used my iTunes password for everything else Apple does and would like to use the same one for my iCloud.

Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).
