I cannot backup my contacts on outlook through itunes

I could backup it easily and itunes updates all contacts on outlook, but I don't know why it does not update contacts on outlook

If you have backups on both icloud and on your computer, then do a restore from either source.  If the phone is new, connect it to iTunes, it should offer you the choice to restore from computer or from icloud.
Note:
You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

I have windows 8.1 and having installed icloud 3.0 cannot view my contacts in Outlook 2013

    This fixed the issue:
    1. sign out of iCloud. (make sure you are really signed out or it won't work!)
    2. open Outlook and make sure iCloud is not listed in Account Settings
    3. close Outlook
    4. sign in to iCloud and let it set up Outlook sync
You shouldn't need to reinstall anything.  Just remember that when you first look at your calendar/contacts in Outlook it will default to show your Outlook (saved locally) calendar and contacts.  You may need to select iCloud to see them.

  • Why can I no longer backup my Iphone to Outlook using ITunes?

Why can I no longer backup my Iphone to Outlook using ITunes?
for 6 months I never had a problem as it was indicated on Itunes but now the word OUTLOOK has disappeared from the screen!

    "Anyone know why? "
Not I.  I have no such issue, nor does anyone I know.
"Are we no longer able to use our own music?"
We are certainly able to use our own music.  I do it often.
    "Is this legal?"
Is what legal?  That you have an issue with your system?  Yes, that is legal.

  • HT4759 Cannot access iCloud Contacts in Outlook 2007

I cannot access my iCloud contacts in my Windows 7 PC.  When I am in the Contacts tab and I click on "Contacts in iCloud" in the iCloud section, a window comes up with "The set of folders cannot be opened.  The information store could not be opened."

    Hi,
According to your description, I think you are unable to search your contact in Outlook 2007.
    Method 1
Corruption in the pst-file could terminate the search
query prematurely and not all or none of the result will be shown. In that case you should run
scanpst.exe against your pst-file to check it for errors.
    Method 2
    To show contacts, the
Outlook Address Book Service should be added to your mail profile.
    Outlook 2007
Tools > Account Settings > Tab Address Books
    If the Outlook Address Book
service is added already, you should mark your Contacts
folder as an Outlook Address Book.

    Hi Top,
Please performing the deleting action as Administrator for testing if it is convenient.
If we can do this via Administrator, it should be an permission issue. Please double check whether we modified the owner's permission.
According to the log said, I found a point "There is not enough memory available to perform the operation."
Can we add a contact via Owner?

  • HT4859 I deleted some contacts from my iphone 5 which then deleted the same contacts from my iphone 4s which I use for work, I cannot retrieve these contacts via icloud or itunes on my laptop

How do I retreive my contacts that I deleted from my iphone 5 and these contacts were then deleted from my iphone 4s which I use for work. I cannot retreive them from icloud or via itunes on my laptop

If you are sharing the same iCloud account any data you sync with the account (such as contacts) is merged, and any actions you take on one device (such as deleting contacts) also takes place on the device(s) sharing the account.  To fix this, you need to be on separate iCloud accounts.
One of you needs to migrate their iCloud data to a separate iCloud account/ID.  In your situation, this might be able to do with his phone.  To do this, go to Settings>iCloud on his phone, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  Then sign back in with a separate ID and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can sign into each account separately on icloud.com and delete the other person's data from each account.
To get the contacts on you iPad into your husband's iPhone and iCloud account, make sure his phone has Contacts turned to On in Settings>iCloud.  Download the app My Contacts Backup on your iPad and use this to back up your contacts as an attachment to an email.  Send this email to your husband.  Have him open it on his phone and tap the attachment to import the contacts to his phone, and to his iCloud account.

  • How can I sync my contacts and calendars through iTunes again?

Since I upgraded to 2.0.1 I used to sync my iPhone over the air. Now that I'm going abroad I'd like to sync through iTunes again, to avoid high roaming costs. But I can't find a way to tell iTunes to sync calendars and contacts again. It tells me that these data are synced over the air and there is no checkbox or preference setting to change this...

Is this with a MobileMe account?
If so, you need to turn off syncing over the air for contact information, calendar events, and bookmarks via your MobileMe account settings on your iPhone.
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Select your MobileMe account.
Turn Contacts, Calendars, and Bookmarks Off.

  • How do I access an older backup for my iPhone 5 through iTunes?

Does anybody know how to access and restore from an older iPhone backup?
When I upgraded to an iMac, iTunes was not able to recognize my iPhone and rest it.
Needless to say, I lost ALL of my important data.
    HELP!

iTunes only stores a single backup, the last one. If there is a backup available, it is listed in iTunes / Preferences / Devices. Unfortunately and even if there is a backup on hand, if the thing don't wanna play ball and offer a restore, you are out of luck.
Maybe the backup is from too old a version and incompatible with a current phone?

  • Cannot put music onto my 3GS through iTunes without syncing

Hello, I need some help D:
I have a 3GS and I can't seem to put music onto my phone through iTunes.  I don't want to sync because I'll lose all my current songs, so is there any way to avoid syncing my music but still actually, you know, put music on my iPhone >.<

Your current songs should be on your computer.  If you bought them from your iphone then just transfer them to your computer:  File>Transfer Purchases, then sync.

  • Cannot backup iPhone 3GS. Error Message: iTunes could not backup iPhone because iPhone Disconnected. What is the fix for this problem?

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me find a solution to my problem.
When a backup is attempted, it starts off as if it's working, then stops and the following error message appears: "iTunes could not backup iPhone because the iPhone disconnected". But, the iPhone doesn't really disconnect! It must be some type of internal glitch.
The iPhone is a 3GS and I have mostly pictures and contacts, two songs, a total of 33 apps. The iOS is updated (6.1.6). I do not know if this phone was ever jailbroke. I have been able to backup this phone before, but cannot now. The last backup was 9/21/13, it is now 3/2/14.
Sorry if there is too much info, or not the correct info to find a solution!
Also, I must say that although I am not a tekkie, I've seen many different types of various programs and I find that iTunes is not very intuitive...don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, just my humble opinion.
    Thank You,
    Camp917

    Hey Lawrence,
A big THANK YOU!! to you! Your suggestions worked!
Before I changed USB ports (more on that in a sec...), I employed one of your suggestions that you gave to someone else with the same problem...and that was to clean the connector on the bottom of the phone with a soft dry tooth brush. I couldn't believe the amount of lint that came out! Especially what was found in either end...had to do some very careful picking. (Almost enough lint to knit a small sweater!!)
Changing the USB port was the second and final step required for a successful backup. My computer is a laptop, and I did have a USB Bluetooth adapter (for another device) installed. I removed  the adapter, plugged the iPhone into that USB port, crossed my fingers...and it worked!!!
Now if I can figure out the rest of this darn program, I might upgrade to a new iPhone!
Again, thank you very much Lawrence!

  • Cannot select which contacts to sync on itunes

When I go to sync my iphone, I go to the info tab to sync contacts. The problem I am having is that when I select 'sync contacts with' the box next to it is blank and will not allow me to pick anything (Outlook, yahoo....)
    Any ideas?

I am also having this problems. I do not want my contact list updated with everything that is in my address book on my computer. Please tell us how to bypass the contacts when syncing.

  • Syncing Contacts from Outlook to iTunes or Mobile Me - Where are categories

    Hi there - please help!
I have 1200 contacts in my Outlook. Around 300 of them are in a category called 'Mobile Contacts'. With my old phone I could ask it to only sync certain contacts so thus I asked it only to sync Mobile Contacts, which saved carrying around 1200 people - which as you can imagine is quite impractical.
And then I got an iPhone...
It won't let me do this! Is there any Outlook App or other thing that can get this to work?
I think the problem is Apple doesn't recognise categories.
One suggestion I've seen is it tells you to create new folder in Outlook as Apple recognises folders but as 'Groups'. Here's the problem though - in Outlook folders they need to be unique contacts so you have to, but MobileMe / iPhone bungs them all in Contacts - so I end up with loads of duplicates and 1500 contacts.
I hope this makes sense - there really must be a simple way to sort this out!

    Hi, JoBrem
iCloud is useful for a lot of things and backing up your iPhone's data is one of them. Included in the data and files that you can safely keep using iCloud are your contacts. The following instructions detail how to transfer contacts from iPhone to computer.
Step 1. On your iPhone, tap on Settings. On the "Settings" menu, select "iCloud". You will then be taken to the iCloud Settings.
Step 2. Enable the "Contacts" setting and should you be informed that you'll have to merge your contacts to iCloud, tap "Merge".
Step 3. Now on your computer, go to iCloud.com and login with your iCloud credentials.
Step 4. Once you're logged in, click on the Contacts icon to access your address book and all iCloud features for the contacts you've uploaded.
Step 5. In the address book, click on the cog icon at the lower-left portion, click "Select All", and "Export vCard" afterwards.
Step 6. iCloud will then give you a vCard that you can store on your computer. It contains all the contacts you've uploaded to iCloud using your iPhone.

  • Cannot add any music on iPhone through iTunes

I cannot add any music to my iPhone through my iTunes.
I have the latest software on both, iPhone iOS 7.1.2, iTunes 11.4.
    On a Macbook Pro, 10.6.8.
I recently couldn't detect my iPhone on my iTunes whatsoever, so I updated the iOS (which meant I had to delete all my music on it to free space).
I've tried doing the managing syncing. I can add music (that's greyed out and actually isn't on my phone) through autofilling a playlist.
Any other suggestions as I have spent hours and hours on this, something that used to take no time is now killing me.
    Thanks

That's normal (that the music is grayed out). Click the EYEfone icon, then the Summary tab (along the top) - if you want to manually manage music, check the box. Else, click the Music tab (along the top, not in the list on the left), then select the box to sync music, and select playlists or All music, then click Sync.

  • I cannot delete music from my iPhone through iTunes software on my Windows 7 computer. Why is that so?

Can you please help me out? When I bring up all my songs on my iPhone onto iTunes software, the songs are all greyed out. It does not give me the option to delete them. What do I do?

    Hello kelleywinn_1,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Are there additional issues with deleting your music beyond what you have described here? According to this article it is a fairly simple and straight forward process to deleting music with iTunes 11.
