I just want to bring my computer equipement details up to date & after spending thirty minutes pratting about this site still have not found out how to. You might think it would be somehere within the profile, but apparently not.
I'm begining to think every single bit of software I come acress is not fit for purpose. It's a joke.
Can anyone tell me where to go to delete the fact I no longer use Retrospect software but now use time machine as this is relevant to a big problem I am trying to sort out.

What I need is to change the email ID as I use another now and to change the username if possible.
Additionally, I would like to know how I can change my [email protected] address. I would prefer to use another prefix instead of what I have now in xxxx field.
Edit: I searched again and I found that for changing the username, I have to crate new Apple ID. However, I don't know if I can connect this Apple ID with my purchases and everything as it was before.

Using your AppleID, log in to your account in either the Mac App Store or or the iTunes Store, click on Account and change your payment details.

I cannot believe customer service

I've never had a negative experience with Verizon since I switched to them about 10 years ago. All of my positive views were changed today. Let me explain: I pay extra for insurance on my device. It was defective, called, got new device and returned old one. Only verizon is saying they didnt receive it. Funny thing is when the charge appeared on my bill I immediately call and she tells me yes it is in our warehouse it just needs to be checked in and when it is we will remove the charge. Great so I check back a month later and the charge is still there. So I call again, the guy says they cannot find my device ever being at the warehouse so he recommends me tracking the package myself. So I get my paper and try only its saying the tracking number is invalid. In the mean time verizon is threatening to shut my service off if I do not pay. I am not going to pay for a device I returned but they lost. I do not have $600 laying around to pay for a mistake that I did not make. I called again today the lady tells me I never called about the device being returned, tells me Im lying, leaves me on hold for over an hour and then transfers me to a department who "can better assist" only to be told she transferred me to the wrong department and I was hung up on. I am in disgust. After 10 years this is how Im being treated?! I cannot believe this once great company has gone downhill so fast. This issue is still not resolved and Im constantly getting calls saying I owe them from an automated system. Someone help please. I am almost to the point of terminating my contract and going elsewhere where Im actually treated like a person and not a thief.

I believe Verizon uses the United States Postal Service prepaid return to vendor label. Not FedEx.
Fedex has a contract with the USPS for certain partner transactions but if you took the top part of the label it has the number on it.

Your only option with proof it was delivered is a small claims court filing. Do not arbitrate.

Not if you want to be able to continue to make iTunes purchases too. You can lock out access to iTunes store using Restrictions (which always needs a passcode to change, Touch ID won't work for changing/removing Restrictions) but that means no one can use any of the restricted features.
iOS has no concept of multiple users with differing access levels like this. Touch ID stores multiple fingerprints, but they're supposed to be all from the same person, the device's owner, not multiple users.
You're going to have to buy your daughter her own iPhone... ;-)

I'm using my N8 for 3 weeks now. I'm testing it for Nokia Discoveryzone Belgium so i'm like playing with it day in day out. So far it has worked perfectly with just one issue i had the very first days; the "photos"-app would not open, i had a pop up menu that kept saying "refreshing your media". I could find the pictures in the file manager but could not watch them. I've resetted the phone via phone management>factory settings>restore factory settings and erase all data. After that the phone worked perfectly but the Web-TV widgets were gone and nowhere to be found. In my opinion this problem occured when i linked the phone to Ovi-Suite on my PC, it wouldn't synchronise and the updates found on Ovi Suite refused to install. When i resetted the phone and then connected with Ovi-Suite everything worked fine.
There are some improvements in the UI to be made like the possibility to add cover art in albums (now the cover art comes along when i transfer music with WMP), a graphic equalizer with manual settings (now there are only presets) and some other minor things. But one thing for sure, i'm very satisfied with the N8, it's very stable and owns a awesome camera.
One word of advise to all N8 owners and those soon to become owners, take the time to read the manual you find in the "product support" here at Nokia Europe, it will save you from a lot of problems you can avoid just by reading the manual.

you can start out low and increase your data allowance as you need throughout the month, backdating it to the beginning of the billing cycle so you don't have overages; however, I found out the hard way that you cannot decrease your data allowance during the month and backdate it so you don't overpay for unused data.
what I do now is reset my data allowance to 2GB at the beginning of every bill cycle and then increase it if I get warnings that I'm going to go over... and I check it 3 days before my bill cycle ends to see if I think I might need to bump it up before the end of the bill cycle
it's annoying, but otherwise I end up paying thru the nose for overages or overpaying for data I don't use
BTW, I'm on the More Everything plan, which is the same plan you'll get unless you go Edge (where you pay the full price for the phone but don't get the 2-year commitment to it)

I have a Mac on my home network and also a Systemline music server on same network. My PC was able to find the server but my MAC cannot. I can ping the server from the mac, but cannot actually connect . Also can't add the mac as a location from server

Thanks for reply. I am not an expert on these sharing protocols but I think I have turned on SMB sharing but still wont connect. I tried adding netwrik drive by using cntrl K in finder and using smb\\network address but nothing. It is driving me mad!!

Some things to try in this order:
1) Make sure you designated the correct folders for music, etc.
2) Press and Hold the Home and Power buttons on the iPad until the Apple Logo appears, about 10 seconds.
3) Make sure all antivirus and firewalls are off.
4) Delete and reinstall itunes. (Back up the itunes folder first.)

You may have answered my question. I AM using the 64bit version of Illustrator CS6. I had no idea there were bugs in it that affected paths copied and pasted from Illustrator to Photoshop.
A bit more about what I'm trying to accomplish... I'm trying to follow Deke's tutorial (http://www.deke.com/content/dekes-techniques-018-creating-a-3d-pie-chart) which is already difficult since so much has changed between CS5.5 and 6, but then on top of that, I keep getting errors!
So I created the pie chart exactly as he shows and copied and pasted into Photoshop exactly as he does. Before submitting this post, though, I tried drawing just two very simple triangle shapes, copying them both and pasting them into Photoshop as a shape layer. The shapes weren't overlapping, but they were a part of the same shape layer just like the pie chart tutorial.

I seem to constantly get confounded by what seems to be the most amazingly unbelievable conundrums with Apple despite having been a champion of the company for years and years. This relates to tethering on iPhone, external Apple hard drives only being usable with MacBook Air, and now this! If anyone is aware of a hack or way around this I would appreciate some guidance. You need to do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B.
Restart phone
Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure in the phone that needs evaluation by Apple.
