I cannot block an e-mail address

Someone is sending spam using the e-mail address of one of my contacts and it goes to the SpamDetector folder. I entered the contact's e-mail address in the Email Settings/Blocking/Blocked Senders list and made sure the "Delete the email from the Blocked Senders list" option was selected, then clicked on "Save". I am still getting more spam even though the exact e-mail address the sender is using is in my Blocked Senders list. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much.

It's possible that the email address you're seeing the message originating from is "spoofed". In other words the email may appear to come from [email protected], but in reality it comes from [email protected] for example. The best way to test this is to setup another email address, using hotmail or yahoo or similar and see if you're able to block emails from that address. There are no known issues relating to the ability to block emails using the Verizon webmail. If you have any other questions, or want to discuss specifics, feel free to PM me. 2) use an add-on to search just the beginnings:

I changed my apple ID password and now facetime cannot verify my e-mail address. I have tried changing my password back but still recieve the same pop up window telling me that the email could not be verified and to check my network but have wifi working

I changed my apple id password and now cannot use facetime and my icloud continues to prompt me for my password and I continue to give it but, I repeatedly am prompted for the password unless I cancel the icloud. I have tried changing my password back to the password I had before and this did not work. I have tried to use another e-mail address for facetime and had verified that e-mail address and this did not work. I do not know how to fix this problem. I have thought about changing my apple id but am not sure how I would be able to carry over the same credit card number to the new apple ID. I loved my Mac book Pro because I could facetime my boyfriend while I am working away and now I cannot. I am starting to hate Mac.

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

Used blackberry - locked BIS - cannot add personal e-mail address

I purchased a used blackberry (tmobile - same carrier that I have) off ebay. When I ran the set-up wizard, I had only two options for adding e-mail address (work e-mail address with enterprise or skip this option). I understand that I can register new e-mail addresses online with tmobile. However, when I try to do this - it says the Pin has already been used. The ebay seller is not responding with his username or in calling tmobile directly to terminate the lock. Is there some way for me to get around this and access BIS?

You can try contacting T-Mobile to ask them to release the PIN from his account. Not sure if it will work or not. Until it is released from that person's account you won't be able to use it. But try calling T-Mobile to see what they say.

If you have MobileMe, you can use a me email. If not, you need OS X Lion to use iCloud

Are you looking to block text messages you are receiving that are sent from email addresses? There is a way to do that as well. Call & Message Blocking is used to block text messages sent from mobile numbers. No way to set it up in Mail. You can do it with your provider if they have that capability. Yahoo/Att can do it at the website.
You can create a rule in Mail to delete messages from specific senders if you wish.

I reset my apple ID password and realized my e-mail address has been changed. I cannot retrieve my password because I cannot get the email. So I am stuck in a loop with the apple support page. I cannot change my forgotten password or my email address?

You apparently did not migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud before 1 August? In this case your MobileMe account has been permanently deleted and all its contents lost, as was announced over a year ago.
Your signature says your Mac has 10.6.8; you cannot set up an iCloud account on that. However you can reactivate your @me.com address (though not retrieve its contents including any aliases) by going to Settings>iCloud on your iPhone (iOS5 required), signing in with your @me.com address and password, and enabling Mail in the list there.
That done, you can set up Mail manually on Snow Leopard to access your iCloud email:

Is it possible to block an e-mail address meaning you send an e-mail to someone, and they do not know who it is from? I know this can be done by dialing *67 before the number (*67xxx-xxx-xxxx) and the number comes up as Blocked or whatnot, but can this be done for e-mail too?

Each email must have an sender. There are several ways of faking them (and other meta information about the mail). However, I will not explain how to do this.
If you do not want others to know your real identity, create a new address at some free mail service provider and use this fresh address.

Unfortunately you cannot change an iCloud mail address once you have created it. You can however use an iCloud alias which you can set up at iCloud.com.
To create an alias.....
Navigate to the Mail feature at iCloud.com and click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner. Choose Preferences from the drop down menu, then select accounts from the options across the top, here you can create your alias.
