I cannot burn a CD from iTunes...please help!
I desperately need to back up all the music I have purchased and I cannot burn a CD from iTunes for some reason. I went through the trouble-shooting on this website and still had no luck. I tried to load the songs into my iPod and transfer them to my laptop iTunes as a backup but there's no way all my music will fit on my Nano. So I'm wondering if there's any other way to back up my music files...can I copy them to a zip drive or external hard drive? I am so not tech-savvy and I have so much money invested in my iTunes library. Thanks in advance!

or could i compress them when i burn them onto itunes so i could fit like more then 20 songs on a disk?!You should just be able to drag and drop the songs from iTunes to the flash drive.
Unless your songs are in a lossless format (Apple lossless, AIFF, .wav), they are already compressed. You could always convert them to a lower bit rate (downsample) but you would lose sound quality. -

Cannot burn cd's from itunes - frustrated to say the least
I have created a playlist from cd's of my own and a few from itunes. I bring up the playlist and click on the burn cd circle and it asks to "insert a blank cd". After I do so and close the door it then says "checking media". After a minute or so it spits the cd out for a few seconds and the cd door closes again and then nothing. I tried to change the burn speed to 4 and it did nothing. I've tried to use different cd's. I've updated all drivers to no avail. It worked one time before after several attempts, but that's it. Does anyone know what the heck is going on?

see...same probem...and not a single person has any info on what could be wrong..I think it is a software problem that apple can not fix or wont fix..many emails to them with not a single response...LOOSERS!!!!! -
About week ago, could not completely burn CD-R on iTunes...was able to burn two out of 15 attempts. The error message "Attempt to burn a disc failed. Burn failed due to a medium write error." No such problems since bought this Mac little over 3 yrs ago (yes off warranty)
I am using Sony CD-R's and have tried using different speeds such as 2X and 4X. Have generally used Sony CD-R's without any problems until last week.
Am using iMac 27 OS X 10.5.8 with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. The SuperDrive is OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5630A.

The Itunes burn process either keeps prompting to insert a disk when I have put one in the tray., or it displays the message "The Attempt to burn a disc failed. The disc can't be burned; it might be incompatible with this disc drive. Please try a different brand of disc or try try burning at a slower speed".
I was trying a speed on 1x. There isn't a slower speed.
What settings do I need to make the CD burn to work?

Please can someone be in touch to let me know.The image is correctly referenced in the feed, is the correct dimensions and within the 500kB file size limit, so you've done your part correctly.
The iTunes Store can be flaky about images: it's not that unusual for a new image to take quite a long time to appear, or for an existing one to disappear for a time. I'm afraid there isn't really much you can do about it except wait for the Store to get its act together.
You could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com but I'm afraid you are likely to get a form response telling you how to provide an image, which you already know. -
can not switch my phone back on, yhe apple logo shows but the phone wont do anything, unknown error when trying to reboot from itunes
Does your device have a full charge? Often if you give it a full charge, that will fix the problem
If that doesn't work, plug it into itunes and run any updates that may be available.
Let me know if we are still broken after this. -

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

I recently upgraded to iOS 7.0.3 and now my iPhone 4S will only sync purchased music to my phone from iTunes. Help! I have TONS of music that I have bought and burned to my computer, but cannot listen to it on my iPhone. This seems ridiculous!
Also, it's taking FOREVER (over an hour) to sync my iPhone to iTunes...

I need to burn a cd from itunes. There is no burn option...at all. I've tried right-clicking and file command. Please help
I have Windows 7 on a Dell. Open and play iTunes in the compatability mode and use Windows XP (service pack 2). Disregard any messsages to disable the compability mode. This has worked for me. I have also reinstalled iTunes and played with burn speeds etc. These ideas did not work. Compatability mode works.

so i bought a mac book air, and i had to buy the LG portable cd drive... which is supposed to burn cds? the lg cd/dvd writer came with a cd but it wont load onto my computer when i plug the usb cord in. all i want to do is burn a cd from itunes but it says " burning software not found" but the LG cd drive says it will burn cds?? im confused please help!
You dont need ANY CD/DVD burning software on your Mac
