I cannot calibrate my Apple Cinema Display without getting an error message. I've done it many times before.
I have a 23" Apple Cinema Display and a MacPro running Snow Leopard. Using the built in calibration system I have calibrated the display several times in the past, but now I get an error message: The new calibrated display profile could not be created or set to be the current profile for this display." I have no applications open when I do the calibrating.
Launch the Terminal application by entering the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. If that doesn’t work, then in the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
Drag or copy – do not type – the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
ls -Odel Library/ColorSync/Profiles
Post any lines of output that appear below what you entered – the text, please, not a screenshot.

Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them originally. Did you try entering your old password and see if that works?
If you need to sign out of your old account go to Settings>Store>Tap on your ID and sign out. Sign in with the new one.
you can also access your ID in the featured tab of the App Store. Swipe to the bottom of the screen and you will find it there as well. -
When trying to access photo stream on Apple TV, I am getting the error message terms and conditions have changed, but when I go into iCloud on my Mac the new terms and conditions are not appearing - How can I manually agree to them ?

I purchased mountain lion, but after numerous attempts until my fingers all gone numb, i simply cannot install it on my imac. i get this error message: "an error occurred while installing OS X, you cannot install OS X on this disk......".

How is the disk (top level container) formatted according to Disk Utility:
* What Partiton Map Scheme? (Should be "GUID Partition Table".)
* How many partitions? (Should be 1 unless you have a Boot Camp partition.)
How is the partition (lower level container) formatted according to Disk Utility? (Should be "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".)

When I try to update my Apple TV software, I get an error message "update was unsuccessful try again later". I've tried downloading the update for two weeks. Are there any recommendations?
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -

you may have inadvertantly purchased it from a non us itunes store section of itunes. go to expresslane.apple.com to get a refund and if you want to rent it again, on your computer itunes screen, scroll all the way to the bottom, and make sure the country indicator at the bottom right has the usa flag

i need to plug and unplug multiple times for ti to start.
any thoughts ideas would be helpful thanksOkay, Mr. Easthills, you have an imac, but yet you mention apple cinema display....Hmmm, curious. you could try zapping the PRAM, hold down command (apple?), Option+P+R keys while rebooting mac. Hold down for 3 chimes, then let go and boot normally. I have this problem too, and I have a 20" widescreen apple cinema display(DVI connector--did I just date myself or what?),anyways, it's behaving itself now okay, but it tended to go dark right in the middle of whatever I was doing, and only unplugging the power cord to the display, and replugging in it would fix it for a while. sometimes it would happen again, and again the same solution. As to why it happens now with Yosemite, I don't know . This dear old monitor has lasted me about 8 years and it's still going just fine.. not state of the art anymore, though...

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -
I keep getting an error message 3-4 days after I upload the book. I close all applications, save as a pdf and and buy the book. Still no product. Is this a common occurence or just me?

Try a reset...
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart your iPad.
Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on. -
Flickering Green pixels all over 21" Apple Cinema Display is getting worse
Has anyone ever had this problem before? I have a 5 year old, not overly used 21" Apple LCD Cinema Display. Just recently, it started having these tiny flickering green dots but only on black fields. Now it is getting worse. I am now having the same problem only this time, additionally, its red on white fields. It goes on and off intermitently. Sometimes, my monitor would just turn GREEN especially after viewing some photos. (I think this monitor was made in Mars or something)
What is causing this problem? Do I need to get a new monitor or can I still have it fixed? Please help.There seems to be a couple of threads on this issue, including:

In my case, the severity of the flicker varies with what is trying to be displayed. In screensaver mode, for example, there is no flicker unless I choose to display photographs. Problem is also quite severe when I'm in Aperture; less so in Safari.
I've had the same problem with two separate graphics cards so it must be the cable or the display.

How do you open a book on your library shelf?
Adobe digital editions is unnecessarily difficult to use. It doesn't have to look like a library it just has to work. I cannot seem to open a book or change the list on the shelf. I want to change the order of the list and cannot do that. Listen
