I cannot change my keyboard setting to German. What am I missing?

I Had my keyboard set for German, then yesterday it switched back to English and I can't get it to change back. What do I do?

You may have inadvertently changed the keyboard from German to English. Luckly, it's pretty easy to change back. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Change the language
If more than one keyboard is on, you can change the language while typing with two methods:
Tap the Next Keyboard key to choose the next language. The chosen language shows on the Space bar.
Touch and hold to display a menu of the enabled keyboards.
Drag to choose a new keyboard.
In iOS 6 and later, the language of the keyboard determines the language of the dictionary, if one is available for the language. To get the definition of a word, select the word and tap Define (if it's available).

Opening Microsoft Word in 10.9.4 changes my keyboard setting

This is a new (mis)behavior, so I'm guessing it's connected with my recently updating my MacBook Pro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i7) to OS 10.9.4. Whether I open Word by clicking on a Word document, opening it via Spotlight, or directly clicking the application icon itself, my keyboard is changed from Dvorak to the standard American English keyboard. And as if that weren't irritating enough, if I change the keyboard back to Dvorak, opening another Word document while Word is still open causes it to flip back to American English. Any ideas how to stop this madness? Thanks.

Are you fully updated to 14.4.3? If no, download
Test in the Guest User or create a new User in System Preferences and see if you see the same behavior. If the problem goes away in a new User, it's a problem in your User's folder.

Tecra M3: Change english keyboard to a german one

I have received a Tecra M3 with an english keyboard, though we are located in Germany. This in fact makes it a bit hard to deal with german special characters. Is it possible to simply exchange the keyboard by a german one? And, if so, how much does it cost?

I really dont know how much it costs but I am pretty sure that you can exchange the keyboard to German one. Service partner can order it for you. After that install German operating system and .. enjoy the life.
If you want to exchange it alone, be careful because of warranty but the exchange procedure is very simply and you can do it alone. If you need some help write gain.

Cannot change scanner or setting

Hi:
When attempting to create a PDF from scanner input, if I try to change the scanner OR change the scanner options, I get the error "Adobe Acrobat 8.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close".
I am running Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 on Windows XP Pro. I have done the repair procedure from Add/Remove programs.
How can I fix this? I need to be able to change scanners.

I am calling a form from another form. I am passing the parameter list to the calling form and doing a query by setting the block property. But when queries the message

Good day! I am working with a module that also calls another form. It uses call_form with query mode parameter set to query_only. My problem is, whenever i call the other form using the call_form, it would display the called module and then as it populates the detail block of the called form, it will display frm-40208 from running in query mode. cannot change database fields per record. What I want is for the message to be displayed only once.
I have tried capturing the error by using on-error trigger, but it doesn't go to that whenever the other form was being called. I think the message has to do with the post-query trigger, because it passes some values on a dbase block objects.
Do you have any suggested solutions or workarounds to make the message display only once whenever the other form is being invoked by the call_form?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions/ideas.

Cannot change shortcut keys

I have a Retina MBP and on OS X 10.8. For some reason I cannot change the keyboard shortcut of items in Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Services. For instance, I would scroll down to the very bottom and add option-command-' to Unarchive To... , then click Show All, then go back to check to make sure the stored value saved. But when I quit System Preferences the value is cleared out.
I'm new to Mac, am I doing something wrong?

Can you try opening Device Manager, and open the display adapter category,
You should be seeing an Intel HD Graphics, try doing a right click on that and choose properties
Go to the driver tab and click on Roll back driver, if available, Restart system
If it is not available Uninstall the driver and restart windows.

Dvorak Simplified Keyboard Setting

Apple was instrumental in getting consumers interested in learning the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard instead of the QWERTY Standard Keyboard in the 80's. So much so, that ANSI (American National Standards Institute) adopted it and is available to be selected in almost every operating system whether it's Mac, Windows, or Linux.
I am surprised that Apple does not have a setting on their current iPhone to be able to change the keyboard setting to Dvorak if the user so desires. I know many probably do not want to change from QWERTY, but those of us that have changed over to Dvorak, see the benefit and have no desire to change back.
Come on iPhone, please make this setting available! ... After all, Apple II was responsible for it's increased popularity and the adoption by ANSI. I am waiting for a handheld cell device to come out that offers the Dvorak option. With iPhone having a virtual keyboard, it should be the easiest to market. The first manufacturer to offer the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard alternative, will get my sale and my business.

You canot easily change your country settings. The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.

try tapping holding on the key that would be most similar to the letter you want to enter, that will bring up a menu of other characters similar to that character and maybe the greek letter will be included in that menu

Cannot change setting in privacy from remember history to use custom settings for history. I can set in to change but on closing with the ok button thus closing the privacy tab, it then reverts back to remember history.

I have been by a web sit that the cookies are disabled in the browser. on looking at the help on firefox help the instuction as i understand was to change the setting under the privacy tab ref history fromthe default setting of rember hhistory to use custom settings for history. I change the setting click ok but it reverts back to rember history. I just cannot change the setting.This also happend in the prevous version.

To see History and Cookie settings in Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
You need to make at least one change to make "Use Custom settings" stay selected.
If all history settings are the default then the History and Cookie setting revert to "Remember history" the next time you open Tools > Options > Privacy.
So it looks that your cookie setting are already correct.
