I cannot change my Mail account name or SMPT or get rid of MobileMe. Driving me crazy as I cannot use this feature on my MAC

Having trouble getting rid of MobileMe from my Mail and off of my computer. Since Mobile Me is going away, I want to be able to use the functionality of Mail. What do I need to Do?

It happened to me today for the first time since upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.3, no "stop lights" in the title bar of the popup, in fact nothing at all.
I've never established a FaceTime account. So I tried to delete FaceTime from the Applications folder on the "system" disk thinking this may eliminate the popup. Mavericks informed me "Cannot delete FaceTime as it is used by the operating system.
Is this a MAC virus? Or is this an example user community alpha/beta testing that Apple just announced?

That being the case, why then did the FaceTime popup even appear in the first place?
It's not clear to me what it is. If it occurs again, please take a screenshot of the popup and post it in a reply.
To take a screenshot hold ⌘ Shift 4 to create a selection crosshair. Click and hold while you drag the crosshair over the area you wish to capture and then release the mouse button. You will hear a "camera shutter" sound. This will deposit a screenshot on your Desktop.
If you can't find it on your Desktop look in your Documents or Downloads folder.
When you post your response, click the "camera" icon above the text field:
This will display a dialog box which enables you to choose the screenshot file (remember it's on your Desktop) and click the Insert Image button.
The screenshot attachment option for this support site appears only on computers - not on iPads.
⌘ Shift 4 and then pressing the space bar captures the frontmost window.
⌘ Shift 3 captures the entire screen.
Drag the screenshot to the Trash after you post your reply.

You would have to sign out in order for your account name to not be visible.
Click your account name then click Sign Out.

Cannot position G/L Account Name between G/L Account and Cost Dimensions

I have a client that is very frustrated that when they use Form Settings to position the G/L Account Name column adjacent to the G/L Account column in a marketing document, that change is not retained the next time that they open that form.
The problem appears to be related to the columns for cost accounting Distribution Rules. I found that while I cannot position G/L Account Name between G/L Account and the Distribution Rules column(s), most other column position changes are retained. The Journal Entry form does not appear to have this problem.
I am reproducing the problem using the A/R Invoice (Service) form on v8.81 PL06. I have Use Multidimensions checked in System Initialization » General Settings » Cost Accounting. The symptom occurs whether I set Display Distribution Rules to In a Unified Column or In Separate Columns. Since this client displays distribution rules in separate columns, the G/L Account column ends up separated from its associated G/L Account Name column by a wide margin.
I couldn't find another reference to this problem. Is it a known issue that might be scheduled for correction soon?

   When I am giving link of Account Name field from VPM4 table in Repetitive area0 then system not capturing data (Account Name which used in Outgoing Payment Doc.)
   And When I am giving same link in Page Header area, System giving only One Account name but when user create more then one G/L for Outgoing Payment then also system displaying only one G/L Account Name.
   Actually this type of data should be come in Repetitive Area0 then only it will repeat, Should I have to link any field with Account Name field ?

To change your iCloud ID or password you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your other ID. If you need to migrate any of your daughter's iCloud data to your account, choose Keep on My iPad when prompted, then choose Merge to upload it to the new account. If not, choose Delete from My iPad.

This is a real issue. I am a Help-desk in a global company and after changing a mail list name in Server end, users can't see the update in outlook client. Even I download Offline address book in full detail, user still can't see the change in her outlook.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Would you please detail what you did by "changing a mail list name in Server end"? What is the mail list and what server?
If you switch to Online Mode instead of Cached Exchange Mode, does the user see the change?

Do you mean the username? The part before the @ in your iCloud email address?
If so, you can't change it. You can setup a completely new iCloud account under a different AppleID, or you can setup an email alias to your current iCloud account.

I cannot change any user account icons

I cannot change any user account icons. Under the Default icons it says "No Items". Any new users are set up with a tennis ball with no other options. In the initial set up, there were a lot of choices. Now they're gone. It there a missing file?

Yes the missing user icons is unexplained and nothing I've tried has resolved it.
It seems to have occurred as part of the 10.8.2 update for me.
No user shows any of the default or custom user icons available in the users system preference. All the Apple icons are present in the /Library/User Icons folder as well as custom icons but they do not appear within the system's panel period. No icons appear there. You are able to add icons to it -per user. Any done in this manner are saved in that user's preferences so this does not affect the system level. I have tried removing preferences. I have tried removing the icons and adding them back including as root but all changes are applied to the user only. I have run Diskwarrior, repaired permissions, etc. And nothing changes this.
I cloned the image to another laptop, deleted all preferences from main library, restarted, logged in expecting it to be a preference issue. Still no user pictures shown for default user. In case the original users were corrupt, I created a new user and logged in with it. It was given one of the OSX pictures randomly chosen by the system. I logged in as user and still no pictures are shown. Tried to do a reinstall of 10.8.2 combo update and system refuses saying I cannot be done. Booted from recovery partition and it allowed an internet recovery.
No change. Took a brand new laptop and used user migration to copy the users over to it with all settings. Broke that system as well. Repeated creating new users, etc and no change. This is really annoying. I can repeat migrating users only and then partial settings to try to narrow it down but its time consuming.

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.
