I cannot change the wpa-psk on a AIR-AP1142N access point

I am attempting to change the wpa-psk on a wireless access point. When i go under ssid config mode and type the command wpa-psk ascii 7 <14characterkey> it gives me the message "Invalid key length, expecting 18 to 128 characters". Currently we are using 10 character key that I want to change it from. I would assume that I would not have to use an at least 18 character key as currently we are not doing this. Can anyone explain to me what I am doing wrong? I really don't think that I have to use a 18 character key but I could be wrong as I am fairly new to configuring these. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the problem is in the encryption mode.

As long as there are no confounding factors, such as certain extensions, or a user.jsfile the procedure is as follows
# Open a new tab and type "about:config" in the address bar.
# In the Search bar type: "newtab"
# Locate and double click "browser.newtab.url"
# In the "Enter String Value" box change "'''about:newtab'''" to "'''about:blank'''" and click OK.
# Verify that the value has changed and now all new tabs will be blank.

Have to say that I rather agree with Mark..all we want is a simple, unadorned clean page that doe not track and show usage!! WHY NOT!! I've confirmed the mac address is included on that list and that the password is correct. Under choses netwrok I select the network and it just goes into a spin. I have tried removing the password and the access list settings and it still will not complete the connection to the router thus no internet access. The routers firmware is also up to date. This thing worked fine before this update and I've already tried to restore from backup. Any ideas or is the wifi nic bad in this thing with the new apple firmware update? Any fix?

First off, when firefox trys to auto update, it fails. It tells me to try and download the new version from mozilla's site. When I try to download the new version I get this: (C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.)
This is the same message I have been getting when I try to download other things off the net. (When I use other browsers to download I dont have this problem)

The "options" button should appear at the bottom of the iPhoto window, when you view your book, then the Book Settings Button should be available and you can activate page numbers.
But remember, that the settings available will depend on the Book Theme you selected. The above shows the settings for one of the "Travel" themes. In a Picture Book Theme, e.g. you cannot add page numbers.
What theme and book size are you using?

Hi, as the title says, I use a default final cut pro title or ending for a video and I cannot change the text, all youtube tutorials just show that you click on the text box, the boxes appear, and then to the right in the text window you literally just type and change it, which ive done several times before, but I just got a new mac, and now that is impossible to do, what can I do? this message may be due to the user trying to change a Purchase order item payment terms when there is already a blocked supplier invoice registered for the item. The vendor invoice payment terms normally override the PO payment terms. Users sometimes think they can speed up payment to a vendor by changing the payment terms on the PO. This can only be done before an invoice is registered and the PO term can be overridden at invoice entry time in any case.
Have a look at the terms on any associated invoice and the vendor record for the Purch org.
You may also want to have a look at your business process for blocked invoice resolution.
If the user wishes to speed up payment of an invoice they need to contact the users who are responsible for the vendor payments. We call them AP staff in our org - stands for Accounts Payable.

I cannot change the wireless LAN encryption WEP settings

Dear all,
I have a WRC-1000 which I did not use for about year and a half. Now I reconnected the unit and during the configuration I cannot change the wireless LAN settings for security (WEP). No matter what I do it keeps stuck on 128 bit WEP.
It also does not show the WEP key settings (so the screen where I should configure the WEP key).
This is what I have done so far: Full reset, reload default configuration, updated to latest firmware. Still no change. I suspect a hardware failure. Is this a memory failure (flash)??
Can someone help me out?

Do you speak about the router settings or about the WLan setting on the notebook???
Did you try to use a Wlan connectivity tool like Intel ProSet Utility or Atheros WLan client utility?
Depending on your WLan card I would recommend checking these both tools and try to establish the WLan connection using one of these programs!

Big Permissions Problem: "You Cannot Change The Contents Of This Folder"

I installed Tiger some time ago (and need to upgrade now from 10.4.6 to 10.4.9).
I haven't used it much since some of my software will only run under Panther.
In any case, I'm using it now and have been having big permissions/user accounts problems.
I have two users on the computer "robert" and "ra", both with admin privileges (I set up two because I was trying to get around these problems -- I'd be very happy with just one).
I have 10.4.6 installed on an external HD and boot from that into Tiger (I have Tiger on another external HD as a backup, and my main HD in the iMac has 10.3.9 -- that's what I boot from when I need to run older programs).
In any case, both "robert" and "ra" have ADMIN privileges. But I get weird ownership problems. For instance, if I am logged in as "ra" and try to play a Realplayer file streaming from the web (in Firefox 1.x), I get the error
/Users/robert/Desktop/307e6wz7 could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.
I check the ownership of the "Desktop" folder -- read/write for "ra".
If I right-click I can save the Realplayer file to the desktop.
Same with other links.
I've also noticed other ownership problems (blocked folders at finder level) but can't duplicate tonight. Is this an obscure error, or is there something amiss in ownership recognition? Is there some way I can sort all out? Login in as "root" and set all right?

Yes they do. When you installed them you dragged these particular apps to the Applications folder. Doing so automatically attributes the program with the ownership attributes of the account owner who installed them - 'robert.'
Proper application installers install apps under the system/admin ownership. You can try to fix these apps by changing their permissions:
Select the app and CTRL-click to open the contextual menu. Choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Select the Contents folder and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Ownership and Permissions section click on the tiny arrow icon to expose the panel. Click on the little lock icon to authenticate. Change permissions as follows:
Owner = system with Read/Write privileges
Group = admin with Read/Write privileges
Other with Read-Only privileges
Click on the Apply To Enclosed Items button. Close the lock by clicking again on the lock icon.
