I cannot click open any of my finder icons with one or two clicks.
When I go to the finder and click any icon like: documents or download i cannot open it. The only way I can open it is by using the two finger method. Outside of the finder the click works just fine. I recently bought a magic mouse after that the situation I just explained began. If any of you can help I will be thankful.

Hmmmm.....wasn't hint enough for you? Suggest that you call AppleCare since you recently purchased the mouse.
Your other recourse is the post in the Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse forums where the MM users hang out at.

I can no longer open any attachments that are sent to me. I click on and get cannot preview (but have had this for ages). I am clicking on download and nothing happens. It does not download. Either Keynote says that the file cannot be opened or it crashes.
What can I do?Check you are using the correct version of Keynote to open the files; right click the file and select Open With > Keynote 6.2.

I really need help desperately. I cant open any desktop folders or icons. I've restored to the earliest point I can but with no difference. Even the Control Panel cant be opened from the Start button. my compuetr freezes everytime I double-click or right-click on "My Computer" or "My Documents" icons.
My restore CD which was supplied with the Toshiba Satellite 1800 doesnt work either. Please help! I'm really desperate!
JessWaht do you mean with "I have tried with the restore CD but nothing"? Have you tried to completely format your HDD? I had a similar problem but in my case it was due to the OS registry...so I reinstalled the system from the beginning and it was ok.
If you cannot solve this problem with the cd supplied by factory...I think it could be an hardware problem due probably to the HDD. Does your HDD make strange sounds, such as "clic-clac"?

When trying to open Pages 4.0.1 I get a message stating "Pages cannot be opened because of a problem, check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X."
I've run the software update several times. Pages is located in my iWork '09 folder in Applications. Using OS X 10.6.8Delete and reinstall it.

Finding Words with more than Two Vowels (Regex)
Hello all, I've been working on this for quite some time now. I need to use a regular expression to find words that contain more than two vowels. I am getting stuck.
Here is what I have so far. I am using emacs to find them in a text file.
I use C-M-s and the expression /<[^aeiou]*[aeiou][^aeiou]/>
It finds words with one vowel, but I need to find if it has more than two, and I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

I tested it with grep on a file with one word per line. Seems to work in that context. More than one word per line and it breaks. I know nothing of emacs or your data, so I have no idea if it will suffice.
I'd also suggest you go back over your expression and put into words exactly what you think it is doing. I'm no regex expert, but it doesn't seem at all fit for what you're trying to do.

You can't play music from the computer if there is none there. If you are using iTunes Match you should now be able to download and play all your music on the Apple TV from the music feature on the main page. -

Just recently Finder has stopped behaving as it normally would. Clicking the icon doesn't seem to launch the finder window. I have to right click the finder icon and then click New Finder Window. Sometimes there is no response for sometime and then finally it does open a window. If I click finder when a wondow is open it does not shift focus to finder anymore. I am sure this did not use to be the case?
PS. not sure if this is how to put things on the forum as haven't used them before!
JulianClick on the spotlight icon in the top right of your screen (looks like a magnifying glass), type
Terminal
and press 'return'.
In the window that opens up, paste or type this exactly into the window
killall Finder; killall Dock
(that's case sensitive) and press 'return'.
You'll notice the Dock disappear for a second or two then return, as do any open Finder windows.
Test using Finder as normal. Same problem? -

With recent iphoto update, i am having problems opening individual photos. The photos are there when i scroll through, but when i select one to work with, nothing opens. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your reply. I did this, but I still can't open any photos when clicked on; "Faces" don't appear over names; when I try to upload a photo while in facebook...I can't. I think this is when i first discovered the problem. Don't know what else to do except take in laptop.

My Macbook running 10.8.5 cannot connect to any internet. When I turn Wifi on it just searches. (yes there are several wifi signals in range) Strangely enough when i click 'Turn Wifi Off' it never turns off will just keep searching.
Never had any problems with my macbook at all, if somebody could offer some advice that would be great.

Try just re-selecting the drive as the destination.

If still no help, try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting. -
no link to open access to the internet. I used Yahoo Messenger, clicked on the 'mail icon' and since Firefox is my default it opened and I was able to continue from there. If I try to click File, open New Page, I get the "problem loading webpage" and "connection timed out" messages
changed my homepage to Yahoo. Now Firrefox works but still cannot access ANYTHING 'Google"!
