I always get the message cannot connect to photostream when i want to activate it on my MacBook Pro

Go into your system preferences and click on iCloud then sign out, then sign back in then click on the photo stream check box.

So recently I have stopped using hamachi to run my server on minecraft and decided to port forward it. My friends cannot connect and it is really bugging me.

I have an airport extreme and have airport utility version6.1. I have gone into airport utility and entered in the port 25565 into the public and private udp and tcp. i also have reseved the dchp and put in my mac adress as well as entered in the ip adress straight from the network section in preferences. In my minecraft server properties I have left the ip blank. I have used a port checker tool and it says it cannot connect to the port on tcp with 25565. I have no idea why this is happening because I entered everything in correctly. I would really appreciate it if someone were to help me.

You will need to set your Mac up to have a static IP address on your internal network. This can be found in System Preferences>Network:
You will want to select DHCP with manual address.

Software Update Cannot connect and Safari cannot connect to URLs

I have copied this problem report from the Safari forum in the hope that I may get some additional help here.
This morning I went to the local library and connected to the internet directly using airport to their WAN. So I now know my problem is independent of the weird dial up arrangement I have at home.
Safari still does not open the sites. It gives a message "Cannot open page "x" because it cannot connect to server "X""
When I open Firefox all my sites are working normally. (I also downloaded and installed Firefox 3 this morning)
I have reset Safari but that does not help.
I have even downloaded the latest greatest version of safari (the beta 4) but it exhibits the same problems
When I invoke Software Update it claims I am not connected to the internet. Does this depend on Safari? Is there a preference I can change to make it work through Firefox
When I invoke internet connect diagnostics it says my internet connection is working normally.

Great clues there!
FF uses it's own Proxy & DNS settings for a couple of things, where Safari & other Apple Apps use System Preferences.
First, Go to System Preferences>Network, Show Airport>Proxies tab, make sure no Proxies are set.
Second, Try putting these numbers in Network>TCP/IP>DNS Servers, for the Airport Interface...
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Then Apply
DNS Servers are a bit like Phone books where you look up a name and it gives you the phone number, in our case, you put in apple.com and it comes back with 17.149.160.49 behind the scenes.
These Servers have been patched to guard against DNS poisoning, and are faster/more reliable than most ISP's DNS Servers.

Cannot connect and email or go on facebook app

Hiya, I only just brought my backberry curve 8520 but it does not give me the option to set up an email account, only an enterprise one. Also I have downloaded the facebook app but it will not let me sign on it says that it cannot connect to facebook try again later (100).

To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard (and FB will then work as well!).

My Ipad 2 says its connected to my wifi but when i try to go ontofacebook it says I cannot connect and when i try on safari it says I am not connected to the internet. Yet on settings it says I am. Any help?

Cannot connect and run query for Access database

Hi,
I have a html file and a servlet file which contains code to connect to a database. I also have a sales database with customer table along with other tables in Access. I have created a DSN in Windows named sales which connects to the sales database. Now, when I am running the html form, the servlet does not run the query "Select * from Customer". It seems it cannot make any connection to the database.
Any help is appreciated. I am very new to JDBC technology. Thanks.

con = DriverManager.getConnection(url);
The username and password aren't needed, so you can just use the above call instead. Perhaps the ODBC is trying to find a user called "" with a password "" and puking on itself, who knows... but you should post whatever exceptions or specific problems you're having that make you think you're not connecting.

Cannot connect and print wirelessly - HP Deskjet 3520

Hey there,
I have a HP Deskjet 3520. It was working without a problem for a while. However after moving house and resetting everything I cannot print wirelessly with this printer.
It is connected to a network and the blue light is permanent, but when I try to print or scan wirelessly it says the printer is not detected/connected.
I've tried to connect using every method available i've seen every video and i've read every blog post. Please can you offer some help before a HP device is mentioned on the news for seriously injuring a passer by after being thrown out of a window?

Are you using Windows or Macintosh?
If you are using Windows, is it a 32-bit or a 64-bit system?

Backing up in Time Machine - Cannot connect and Hangs

I have a QNAP NAS that has a Time Machine Backup function which I have been using successful up til 10.7.1. I recently went away for vacation and needed to dismantle all my network connections as somebody wil come into the apartment to fix the airconditioning.
When I came back, I successfully reattached my network without a hitch, except for Time Machine on the QNAP NAS. This was after I upgraded to 10.7.2. MY backup disk had less than 7 gb left and Time Machine said it was not enough since my last update was 2 weeks ago.
So what I did was to just erase the backup files in the NAS and start from scratch. Unfortunately, now I cannot seem to connect to the backup disk even if I can see it in the shared area in the left hand bar of the FInder window. When I click on it, it seemed to me that was unable to connect to the backup disc as the message says Connected failed.
Question is: is this an Apple problem or a QNAP [problem? I have looked in different forums including this one and no one seems to be able to to give me an answer. I do have a hard time understanding some arcane Mac commands since I am not a Mac techie.

Same too me. Since 10.7.2 i am not able to backup on the QNAP firmware 3.5.1.
I read something about changes in AFP, so may be a future firmware fix this problem.
For now i switch to an external HDD.

Cannot connect and backup 6300

Hi all,
I have a Nokia 6300, and PC Suite 7.1.18.0
When connecting via Bluetooth or cable I my pc "detects" the phone and displays its name, but I cannot use the Content Copier to make backups, or access or even see the folders on the phone.
I'd like to make a backup of the SMSs, Calendar entries and photos on the phone, but it doesn't give me any functionality whatsoever.
I have even taken the phone to a local service provider and they use some kind of backup machine to make a backup but it also failed.
If you need more information I will gladly provide it.
Please help me to get a backup of the phone made

Are you using data tranfer as described on page 30,31 of the English manual? You're not using the latest version of PC Suite.

Game Center server cannot connect and do friend recommendations? I have been trying to turn on frind reccommendations for a week.

I changed my Apple ID Username on my iMac, but now my daughter's iPod Touch cannot sign-in to iTunes, Apps, etc.. The old username sign-in doesn't work either. Apple Store Rep advised using iCloud to back-up her iPod, but have no experience with iCloud - have nevr used it on my iMac. Any info would be helpful.
