Cannot connect Facetime, Messages, iCloud Documents
Hello people! I'm having problems connecting my iCloud account to Facetime, Messages and iCloud Documents (I mean when I enter Pages, for example, It does not upload new files and doesn't download them the existing files either. But I can connect the same account in Preferences (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Reminders) and iTunes, without a problem. Actually I have iMessage and Facetime working fine in my iPhone.
It says
Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.
I've read lots of solutions but none had worked for me.
1) Restored /private/etc/hosts file
2) Deleted all the files with the name ubiquity, ubd, imagent, facetime, messages from Library
3) Deleted certificates and password from Keychain.
4) Changed my DNS to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in Preferences and my router.
5) Tried disabling router's firewall.
6) Opened all the ports in my firewall. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4245)
7) Installed a fresh copy of ML 10.8.2
8) Tried to login after I killed Imagent process
9) Singing out and Signing in again on iCloud.
10) Tried changing from static to automatic timezone detection.
11) Tried using Wireless connection instead of ethernet (For timezone detection).
What else can I try?

By process of elimination you in fact have a different issue as you have a Serial number.
However I would check that this matches the one on the label as I have heard of bogus numbers being put on machines.
Which of these 11 items have you tried ?
1) Restored /private/etc/hosts file
2) Deleted all the files with the name ubiquity, ubd, imagent, facetime, messages from Library
3) Deleted certificates and password from Keychain.
4) Changed my DNS to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in Preferences and my router.
5) Tried disabling router's firewall.
6) Opened all the ports in my firewall. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4245)
7) Installed a fresh copy of ML 10.8.2 Hold Off on this one just yet.
8) Tried to login after I killed Imagent process
9) Signing out and Signing in again on iCloud. This should be in the iMessage Account in Messages as it does not have to be the iCloud Apple ID you use.
10) Tried changing from static to automatic timezone detection.
11) Tried using Wireless connection instead of ethernet (For timezone detection).

Cannot connect facetime any longer
i am running the same ios that was orginally with my imac
now facetime has stopped working any suggestions without
upgradeing to iosx mavericks ?Mavericks is not a Classic operating system. Since your signature says you have 10.6.7, I've requested this thread be moved. Also before upgrading to Mavericks, note there is a lot that 10.6.7 runs that is not compatible as this tip explains:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6271
And this may be relevant for your chatting, but Apple has moved all Mobileme/.Mac accounts to iCloud:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2551
You may want to find a different chat server to connect your Facetime to. -
Facetime between iPad2 and MacBook Air worked fine here in the USA. The iPad2 is now in Rome, Italy and we can't connect internationally. We both can hear the caller ringing in and can see who is trying to call, but after accepting the call we cannot connect. No voice, no video. iPad is successfully sending and receiving eMails, but no Factime connection What's up?
I am curious if possibly the hotel has some sort of VOIP block on. Have you tried Skype? Did you talk to the hotel staff? My husband is traveling to Milan in a couple of days and I wonder if he will run into the same issue. He has had no problems from Istanbul but he is staying in a corporate apartment there. If you find an answer please post back. Thanks

I cannot connect to FaceTime, encountered "error processing registration, please try later" message on my Macbook Air, but I don't have this problem on my IMac. Can anyone help?
I have the same problem on my iMac. My facetime has been working, but now I'm getting the same error as You. I've been through the following:
The stuff that Linc Davis suggested, new profile on iMac, moved iMac into DMZ zone with no firewall rules, tested with other Apple-ID, checked hosts file, checked different timezone settings, tried to connect to 2 mobile APs (with diferent providors), changed DNS servers (ISP's DNS + Google DNS + Open DNS) - Nothing helped. Also talked to Apple Support, since i have Apple Care, but the seem to be a bit clueless also Well I've mailed them the results of my different tests, so lets see what they come up with - Unfortunately I'm sure it will be the same suggestion as all the major PC manufactures suggests, reinstall and test - RIGHT !!!!!!
If I get solution, I'll post it here.
Kind Regards

Cannot connect to iMessages & Facetime since 10.8.3 update
I've updated OSX to 10.8.3 yesterday.
Since then I cannot connect to Messages or Facetime anymore using my normal Apple Id
> get "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." message
I've repaired HD authorizations & keychain as well > no luck.
Before re-sintalling system, anyone with alternative solution?
Note: wired 'cause at first I thought it was linked with 10.8.3 update but my macbook has been upgraded as well and messages work fine...Hi,
In previous iChat versions when the OS came on a DVD disk it was possible to install just iChat.
It is a shame now that the only recourse is to reinstall the whole OS.
It is also seemingly more difficult to track issues in Messages compared to iChat.
Hopefully the Restore will help the situation.

I cannot connect to facetime. My apple id and password are correct. It asks me to check my network connections, but check what? I'm connected to the web by wifi. What else do I need to do?
If you're behind a firewall, try following tip. it'd solve your problem.

Need help in determing why a person receiving a FaceTime call from me cannot connect? The person receiving a call from me says that they hear my call coming in but when they try to connect nothing happens. If anyone has any trouble shooting advise or why the call receiver cannot connect let me know ASAP. I also have a MacBook Pro with the same FaceTime problem. Help! Help!
Its too bad that your phone is out of warranty because this is most likely a manufacturer fault. You need to take it back to Apple. If it is not a manufacturing fault, then go to any shop that your network owns and talk to them about this problem.

I cannot connect to FaceTime since I upgraded to Yosemite. It keeps telling me I cannot log in with my apple ID and to contact customer support with this Customer Code: *****. It worked fine before, why is it doing this?

FaceTime cannot connect with my Apple ID or make a new connection.
I have a problem with Facetime on my MacBook Pro. It shows my camera okay, but cannot connect with my Apple ID or make a new connection. Just get an error message that reads "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." But I'm still connected to the internet and I can still access the iTunes Store with my Apple ID. Any ideas?
Yes Susan,
I changed my DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and was then able to sign in to Facetime using my Apple ID. Apple then sent me an email verifying my email address, and all was good. I then changed my DNS settings back to normal and Facetime works completely fine.
You can find your DNS Settings in your Network Preferences, then click Advanced at the bottom right, then click on DNS from the tabs at the top.
Hope that helps
