I Cannot connect to Wifi with Verizon iPhone 4.2.10

My phone automatically upgraded to 4.2.10.  I was using it over wifi then it lost the connection.  I tried to re-connect and all the iPhone says is "password incorrect".  I connect via a timecapsule.
I know I am typing in the right password.  In fact, I have a MacBook air and an iPad connected to the Timecapsule and it uses the same password and using WPA/WPA2 - personal security.
I have read of problems like this for upgrades to 4.2.1 but I have not heard yet of any real solution.  Anyone know what I should do?

If you tried all appropriate steps included with the link proivided, do you connect your iPhone to any other wi-fi network besides your own?
If so, any problem connecting with any other wi-fi network besides your own?
If the same with every wi-fi network your iPhone has access to, if there is no change after resetting network settings on your iPhone and/or after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem. The iPhone includes a one year warranty.

  • I can't connect to wifi with my iPhone 6

    My iPhone 6 will not connect to wifi. I have restarted it, restored network settings. I have shut off the key chain in iCloud.

    Hi bgb07,
    If you have an issue with your iPhone not connecting to any Wi-Fi networks, and you have already tried restarting the phone and restoring your network settings, I would suggest that you back up any data on your iPhone and restore it as a new device. See this article -

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • I cannot connect to wifi with ios7. It will not find any network. What do I do?

    Ever since I updated to ios7, my iPhone 5 has been having problems connecting to wifi. When I go into Settings, it is unable to find the network at home, at school, in public areas, etc. I know that the internet and wifi work in my house because my fiance is able to find and connect to it on his phone no problem. I tried resetting the network settings but that did not help. What can I do? Apple should fix this if it's a bug with ios7. I've been having SO many problems with this update.

  • HT1695 Cant Connect To Wifi With Case Iphone 5

    I just got a case in the mail today for my iphone 5 and noticed right away that it wont access my wifi with it on. As soon as I remove it I can instantly connect to wifi. Very disappointed.
    The case is just a thin slip over. Nothing big and bulky.
    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Its plastic with a thin sliver of aluminum on the back.  The back of the phone is metal, so that shouldnt matter, right?

  • Lumia 820 cannot connect hidden WIFI with special ...

    Dear all,
           I found Lumia 820 could not connect hidden WIFI (non-broadcast SSID) with special configuration. Just as shahidzafar said in Microsoft community (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone/forum/wp8-wpnetwork/nokia-lumia-820-cant-connect-to-hidd...).  I face the same issue with his Lumia. Could anyone face the same issue? Do we need to update some patch for Windows system on Lumia? Thanks.
                                                                                                                                                                               Tianhao.

    I have exactly the same problem. Would appreciate some advice.
    Please don't suggest changing the settings in the corporate network - this is simply impossible. And unnecessary, as I can judge from the other Windows-phones of my colleagues (not Lumia 820) which CAN connect to the hidden network.
    Thanks!

  • Can't connect to wifi with my iphone 4...

    Worked great for months, changed to another network and when I got back to my network I changed it in settings and it won't pull up any websites.  Nothing else has changed, thats it.  Wifi is turned on in settings.  I also restored network settings.

    Looks as if it is to do with your iPhone, if it can't find any Wi-Fi networks and they are turned on and set to discoverable, even after restarting the router it's still unable to find it my recommendation is to do a restore through iTunes, the update may not have installed properly, I have an iPhone 4 16GB (Black) running iOS 5.0.1 and it finds my Wi-Fi networks and log's onto them no problem, so clearly the software works, just seems that your iPhone is having a bad time
    You've done everything else I'd reccommend, normal re-boot, soft reset, reset network settings.
    Think it's time to do a full back up in iTunes and do the restore, then see if that resolves the issue, be sure to let us know how it goes if you do decide to do this.

  • Cannot connect to wifi on my iPhone 4S

    Cannot suddenly connect to my home wifi at all. Other items ok and sometimes it is grey and cannot even turn, not that it matters as it does not find my wifi. O have reset setting etc and no joy.

    Restore the iPhone with iTunes on computer. If still problem, the WiFi chip or its connection to the logic board is faulty. If there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution.

  • Cannot connect to WIFI with WPA2 enterprise security

    I'm currently trying to switch my Wifi from WPA2 Personal to WPA2 Enterprise using a dd-wrt flashed TP-Link router and a Synology Diskstation as the RADIUS server. The diskstation also creates the CA certificate which I can download from there for all client devices.
    Configuration on the side of the router appears to be fine, I've entered all the details for RADIUS authentication and left "WPA Algorithms" at its default setting "TKIP", other options being ("AES" and "TKIP+AES"). I said it appears to be fine because my Android phone connection is established succesfully using the following (default) parameters:
    EAP method: PEAP
    Phase 2 Auth: NONE (also works with MSCHAPV2, and probably other options)
    CA cert: unspecified (didn't download it to smartphone, must be fetched automatically from router I guess)
    User cert: unspecified
    Identity: myDiskstationUsername
    Anonymous Identity: (blank)
    Password: myDiskstationPassword
    So far, so good... I still cannot manage to get a connection from my laptop running Arch. Prefered method would be via "wicd". The best match seems to be the following configuration profile:
    name = PEAP with TKIP/MSCHAPV2
    author = Fralaltro
    version = 1
    require identity *Identity password *Password
    optional ca_cert *Path_to_CA_Cert
    protected password *Password
    ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
    network={
    ssid="$_ESSID"
    scan_ssid=$_SCAN
    proto=WPA
    key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
    pairwise=TKIP
    group=TKIP
    eap=PEAP
    identity="$_IDENTITY"
    password="$_PASSWORD"
    ca_cert="$_CA_CERT"
    phase1="peaplabel=0"
    phase2="auth=MSCHAPV2"
    But it's not working, both with and without specifing the optional path to the CA certificate. Any ideas what I could've been missing or any clues for debugging?

    Why don't you use netctl?
    I'm using netctl to connect to my FreeRadius Server, and I use this config...
    Description='A wireless connection using a custom network block configuration'
    Interface=wlp0s29f7u3
    Connection=wireless
    Security=wpa-configsection
    IP=static
    Address='192.168.1.200/24'
    Gateway='192.168.1.1'
    DNS=('192.168.1.1')
    WPAConfigSection=(
    'ssid="SSID"'
    'key_mgmt=WPA-EAP'
    'eap=PEAP'
    'phase2="auth=MSCHAPV2"'
    'group=CCMP'
    'pairwise=CCMP'
    'identity="user"'
    'password="password"'
    'priority=1'

  • IOS 6 update - cannot connect to wifi with proxy

    We have 300 IPad 2's to configure and they cant connect to our wifi.  Since the upgrade we can no longer connect our proxy network as we did before.  We use an explicit proxy where we manually enter the proxy address.  WPA2 Security.  We contacted Apple support and after an hour they said they didn’t know how to resolve the issue and needed to research.  This was 5 days ago so im reaching out to the Apple community.  We contacted our proxy support BlueCoat and they have escalated the issue to their top level support.  After the iOS 6 update we are basically dead in the water.
    We select DHCP under our network settings and select Manual under the http Proxy settings.  After filling in the Server, port, authentication info and try to connect, it immediately brings up a safari page that states "Error Opening Page - Hotspot login cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server".
    The other issue we have even with iOS 5 is we could not connect to https sites.

    Our school is having a similar problem with the iPads that were updated to iOS6. We don't use a proxy but we have a Sonicwall and the user has to login to the Sonicwall before the device can have Internet access.
    Here is what I have found and maybe it will help you. The problem (for us) is that immediately after the iPad is connected to our Wifi it tries to contact the Apple servers in California. This connection is blocked by the firewall because the user has not had the opportunity to login to the firewall. The iPad opens a screen that is not part of Safari to allow the user to log into the firewall but they can't because a pop-up window is needed and this application has no settings to allow pop-ups. Under normal circumstances the user would open Safari and login but if we try to switch to Safari it cancels the connection attempt and disconnects from the Wifi. Obviously, this means we no longer have a connection to our Sonicwall.
    The trick I am using to make it work is this. (Keep in mind, we don't normally use proxy settings). I set the http proxy setting for the particular network to AUTO. This causes enough confusion in the iPad that, if I am quick enough, I can open Safari and log into the firewall real quick. Once that is done it will work fine....until the user goes to a different access point.

  • Cannot connect to Wifi with mobile phones.

    Hi all, yesterday I started having a problem with connecting my phone and all the phones in my house to the web on my homehub3 wirelessly.
    I've had BT infinity for well over a year now and never had any problems, but suddenly yesterday morning I can't connect to any of the Google services (google website, play store, google+ etc) any apps which connect to the web will not work (wikipedia app, my daughter's BBM app etc), also the smart TV in the house will not connect either. Ican access bookmarked websites on my phone but cannot search because while I can connect to search engines the server always times out before returning search results. Laptops in the house appear to work fine though.
    I have reset the router and homehub several times, but nothing seems to work. The family use different phone models and Android versions (Galaxy S2, Galaxy S4 & HTC One M8, running Jellybean & KitKat)so it doesn't appear thats the problem
    Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

  • Cannot connect to wifi with new iPad or iphone5

    Everything was fine before ios6 update? Do I need a new router or what? This is very frustrating and it seems apple is doing nothing! Not acceptable!

    Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks  http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304
    iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • IPhone 4 having trouble connecting to wifi with redirect

    Hi all,
    I was wondering if someone out there can help me.  I have an iPhone 4 running 5.0.1.  Ever since i upgraded to iOs 5, i have noticed trouble connecting to the wifi at work.  At home and school the phone connects perfectly.  At work we have a redirect page.  When going under safari it just uses my mobile network (which is not that strong).  I check the wifi menu and it seems as if it is "trying" to connect...it shows the grey pinwheel spinning next to the correct netowrk but nothing ever happens.  I try to "renew lease", i turn off wifi, i reset the phone.  Sometimes it connects first try.  Other times it takes HOURS.  I assumed maybe it was just the network, so i attempted to try to connect my nook, and the nook connects right away.  I never touched any settings, but i am very confused on to what may be going on here to explain the type of problem i am having since iOs 5.  Thank you in advance.
    Jenn

    You'll need to provide complete details before anyone will be able to offer suggestions.
    For future posts, please don't put a lot of excess characters in the subject line. Just a brief summary of the problem - e.g. "iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.01 cannot connect to WiFi" - will be sufficent. I've asked the Hosts to edit out the superfluous junk.
    Regards.
