Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

I am getting no signal to my dj mixer using m-audio firewire audiophile sound card connected to my mac book pro using Traktor Dj software can anyone help?
The firewire port reads the dj software and I can hear music playing through the sound card when I plug my headphones into it but there is no signal to the hardware (my dj mixer).
I have reset the firewire by turning off my mac book pro for a few hours and can see the sound card device in the fire wire section after clicking on the apple icon on the top left corner of my mac.
My dj mixer works on another mac computer with the same soundcard and different firewire cable.

yes, it could be due to nearly anything listed in your kernel extensions, startup items, launch daemons, launch agents, or user items above. Please check all of your installed third-party software to make sure that the versions which are installed on your MacBook Pro are compatible with Mavericks; uninstall every software package which isn’t Mavericks-compatible. After you’ve done that, boot into Safe mode, and see if you still get the beach ball of doom there. If it doesn’t appear there, restart normally and see if it appears then.

Can you clarify what exactly you are trying to do that generates this message?
IF....you might be trying to install AirPort Utility on your Mac....you already have the most recent version on your Mac.....and you cannot install an earlier version than you already have.
Check Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.

I can find it to connect to the web but not to connect to the Time Machine, and the software will not allow me to manually configure it. So now I cannot use the Time Machine to back anything up? Hidden networks are not hidden to sniffing software, thus are not invisible to hackers.
It's only used to prevent confusion or in high traffic locations where a lot of machines are connecting.
When your Mac wakes from sleep or reboots, it might not automatically reconnect to a hidden network as it has to broadcast the information blindly. Hackers can sniff this and then know you have a hidden network at home, so the Mac won't keep asking if the network is there.
Turn off hidden network on your router and use WPA2(AES) with a strong random 20+ character, letter, number, symbol password that makes no sense what so ever.

For guest internet access set a easier one, but still long and enterable into all your devices.
If someone has it then you can rotate it for a new one.
Never keep the admin router password in any machine or computer, keep it on paper in a safe place.

The playlist would only be on your iphone if you put it there.
