I cannot copy and paste from email to word processor in microsoft 7, not Office

why can I not copy and paste from Yahoo email into Microsoft 7 word processor. I don't have Office. I used to do this all the time using Control C to copy and Control V to paste but recently AT&T installed Firefox and I think that's when the trouble started

There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those.

I was trying to copy and paste to an external hard drive. The computer knows the drive is there. When I do the response is that I have to contact the administrator. Thank you.

I would like to know what word processor program are you using?
Is your W520 managed by company (Domain) or personal?
When the response is contact the administrator, does it prompt you for password or other credentials?

Cannot copy and paste from Word into Mail

I cannot copy and paste from Word into Mail. Neither from using the keyboard shortcuts, or using the Menu function. I can copy and paste from other applications into Mail- but for some reason, text copied from a Word document (both in .txt and .doc formats) will not paste into an open email. Anyone else have this issue? It's a new issue. I used to be able to do this easily.

Copying something from a web page into Word could take up to 30 seconds now on my computer but it shows a busy mouse pointer while it is loading, then clicks/pops when it loads into the Word document, but then actually takes about another 5 to 10 seconds to appear in the Word document. I have no idea why it is delaying now when it did not do it before, but since it is still going into the document I am living with it for now. Are you waiting long enough to see if it appears?

I cannot copy and paste text from a website displayed in Firefox 3.5 into Dreamweaver. I can copy and paste URIs from the address bar fine. I have Dreamweaver CS3 on Mac OS X 10.4.

Copying and pasting is not usually a good idea. Try using the "place" command to place your external files or documents into InDesign. Nevertheless, you should be able to copy text from Word or other programs with no problem. How are you doing it exactly? Try to do it not only with keyboard shortcuts, but using the actual "copy" and "paste" menus on both programs.

Microsoft excel cannot copy and paste from one excel doc to another one

I have a user that is on a Windows 7 64-bit machine and he has to different instances of excel open and coping information from one excel file to the other one. He can do it once and then when he tries to do it again excel says, "Microsoft cannot Copy and
Paste."
I have tried to repair the install, that worked for a few days.
Tried uninstalling Office suite and then re-installing Office suite.
I reformatted the computer and did a fresh install of windows 7 and Office suite and today it started again.
I need to get a fix for this as soon as possible.

As far as I know, if you have Skype installed in your computer, the clipboard will be influenced.

Motorola Droid doesn't copy and paste from email?!

Is it really true the Motorola Droid will not copy and paste from an email? My business sends me emails with information that I need to enter in the NOTE section of my phone CONTACTS and obviously a copy and paste option is the way to do that. I use three different email accounts on my Droid two of which are Outlook Webmail. Tell me there is a way or why would I have a smart phone if it can't perform the most basic computer functions? I've been online with other forums and the consensus is that the Motorola Droid doesn't. My friend has an HTC smart phone that copies and pastes from emails. Thanks for any help and I have tried holding down the SHIFT key and that does not allow me to copy precisely what I need.

The only way to do this is to download K9 mail from the market (free). To copy paste in email you need you forward the mail, don’t send and then you can copy text. I know, it’s a kludge but that is where you are, and one of many reasons Android is not fit or the enterprise. It’s a work in progress. Sorry

Cannot copy and paste from a webpage, clipboard, etc. Ver. 7.0

This started in Version 6.0 and continues with 7.0 . I am running Mac OS 10.7 on a MacBook.
I often have to copy from a webpage and paste to email (Gmail, Sparrow, etc..) or a Word document. This function has become unreliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I have tried shutting down both Firefox only and then the whole computer and restarting and sometimes that works and sometimes not. I am able to copy from some webpages and others not at all. Sometimes I can copy some of a page but not all of it. (I can copy url's no problem btw.) On that page I can copy the headline and byeline, I can copy the article, but I cannot copt them together at once. Some pages not at all.

Does anyone know how to copy a small section of text from a received email to a new one?

I found a work around... after trolling through tons of pages on google ....
If you change the font size to 10 or above, copy and pasting becomes easier... not just on emails.
Change your font size
On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
Tap Settings > Display.
In the Font Size drop-down list, tap the size of font that you want to use.

Cannot copy and paste from application which is using jinitiator 1.1.8.16

I am using oracle application which loads in the browser using jinitiator 1.1.8.16, my browser is IE 6.0, Application is working fine but the problem is that I cannot do the operations like copy and paste, except this application copy & paste is working on entire system, can anybody please help me solve this problem.

Copy and Paste from TextEdit to Word

I have been told that I can simplify images in Word easily by copying into TextEdit, and then back into Word. I can copy and paste into TextEdit easily, but am unable to select, copy, and paste a graphic from TextEdit into Word. Is there some key I"m not pressing? Or some other trick?

I use Firefox 3 (latest) and I can not copy text and images from a webpage to MS Office 08. I get only plain text. I tried all combination of Browser and office Suites. Always the same problem. I get plain text. Only one combination works fine. Safari and Apple iWorks. But I bought MS Office, because I need the compatibility to Windows. What a kind of problem is that with the clipboard?
Please Apple, me and many other people need a solution for that problem. Are the Devs of the other browser and office suits so stupid?
