i cannot download app from app store the icon in blocked in pause

Did you check all of your pages?
Usually the new apps will be placed on the last page.
To check if the app was downloaded successfully in the app store instead of install or download you will see open... can you verify that it says open?

Anyone has been having this problem?

I have the same issue, bteween France and The Netherlands. No solution found yet.
Worse even. My credit card is not from The Netherlands, and the dutch store does not accept a creditcard from outside NL. So i used my french card to buy one app using France has my home country. Luckily the app's language remained English, but now the french store seems to be offering me frech versions of existing (free) apps which i dont want. So i cant use the updates.
i cant change the country back to Neterlands, without using a credit card. I can make a new ID, but the old one remains stuck with the french store, pffff It seems the only solution is to create a new ID via a "purchase" of a free app, but the older free apps all may need to be reinstalled that way.
    Typical Apple ..... ? ! !
I may regret having purchased this ipad.....

  • Since upgrading to iOS7 I cannot download anything from iTunes or the App Store.  I get asked for PW and then it just reverts back to showing the price of the app or song.  When you tap it, it gives an INSTALL box and when tapped it again asks for PW.

Please help.  I cannot download any apps or itunes content.  Just get this circular path of tapping to install, entering PW and back to tapping to install and asking for PW.  This started with the latest iOS update.  Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

  • Cannot download Mavericks from App Store - error 1004, then error 13.

I have previously downloaded Mavericks 10.9.5, but now I cannot a second time.  When I attempt to download, I get an error code 1004..hitting cancel gives me error 13. Yosemite will download, but I don't want it until the "bugs" are worked out - maybe version 10.10.2.
Have contacted technical support by phone and cannot talk to a real person, only the menu system..want a serial number for a Mac. Since my MacBook Pro is over 3 years old, says I must pay for a technical support session - $29 fee.
This is how to treat a loyal customer?  Pay for support for an App Store failure to download a free upgrade?

This advise (in theory) should work. However, there are no "hidden items", but there is a "manage" link
Clicking on that link shows me nothing other than 2 previously downloaded, and since removed, free items (free apps I tried but later removed).
There is no "hidden" Mavericks download, or for that matter, previously downloaded Mountain Lion.
(Which I also cannot download from the "purchases" page.)
There is a button labeled "Reset" which links to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading" which I have tried multiple times with no positive result.
    No joy.

  • Cannot download anything from App Store, no error.

I haven't been able to download anything from the Mac App Store. I've tried a few things to help with troubleshooting, and this is what I've gotten so far:
    - I cannot download anything when I use my computer
    - I cannot download anything, even if logged into another user (it is not limitted to my account)
    - I can download things if I'm logged into my account on another computer
    - Internet connection is not the issue, as I have tried many internet signals
I don't have any firewalls or anything like that.

I fixed it by turning my computer off and on again.
Go figure, I've been trying to fix this for weeks.

  • Cannot download Mavericks from App Store

    Hello to all,
I just want to download OS X Mavericks from App Store and I get a simple error message:
"We could not complete your purchase.
OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer."
And the "Learn More" button points me to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
I am doing this from my brand new Mac Book Pro 13'' Retina (Late 2013), running Mavericks 10.9.1.
My objective is to install Mavericks on my Mac Mini (a system bought at the beginning of 2013), whose original harddrive was replaced with an SSD. That is the reason I just want to do a fresh install on it.
    Waiting for feedback.
    Thank you.
    Marius

    Hi Thomas,
I should boot a Linux distro from USB just to erase the disk, although I would expect that as an option to be provided during the setup of the Mac OS X installation process.
Anyway, meanwhile I am following this guide here: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/apple-in-the-enterprise/how-to-create-a-bootabl e-usb-to-install-os-x-mavericks/.
While writing this response, I manage to follow the whole article and the result is successful for now: right now I am in the process of installing the Mavericks. Interesting is that after booting from the USB I also got "Your computer restarted..." error, but after that the reboot started the installation process. Then I manage to erase the SSD drive using Disk Utility provided during installation.
    Well... 5 minutes left. :-)
Again, thanks a lot for the quick answers!

  • Cannot download anything from app store

I have looked through posts on this subject and nothing has helped me yet...
Running lion on a brand new macbook pro and keep receiving this message when attempting to download even free apps:
"There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
It appears right after typing in password to apple id.
I came back over 12 hours later and still got that message.  Tried restarting and still the message...
    ideas?

here is a solution for someone that I found (If you don't have a second AppleID, try creating a new one):
"I was trying to download an App from the Mac OS X App Store. When I put in my password and clicked Sign In, instead of downloading and installing the application this message came up:
There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)
Luckily I have more than one Apple ID, so I just deleted my email address from the left text field and put in my other email address, put in my password or that one and clicked Sign In again. It worked fine."

  • Cannot download Spotify from App Store

I cannot find or download Spotify App in App Store in Denmark for my IPad3.

If you are now in Denmark with a valid Danish billing address then you will need to change the address on your account and your billing info to your new details - which you might be able to do (I've never needed to do it) either by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and doing View Apple ID, or on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account. If you still have a balance on your account then that will need to be used up first (or you can contact iTunes support and see if tey can remove it for you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page)

  • Cannot download Evernote from App World

Evernote has recently announced on its blog that it will discontinue PlayBook support.
    https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2015/01/20/evernote-end-support-hello-peek-blackberry-7-playbook/
Upon hearing this, I wanted to make sure that Evernote was still installed on my PlayBook.
I had downloaded it in the past but it wasn't currently installed. It appears in the "Uninstalled" section in App World. Tapping on "Reinstall" does nothing. No error message, nothing.
Presumably it's already been pulled from App World, but as a previous downloader I should still have access to it, right?
    Am I too late?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Doesn't matter. After the end of support date the app won't work.
Here is from email from Evernote: "As of February 7, 2015, Evernote will discontinue its support for BlackBerry PlayBook and we won’t be making any further updates to this version of the app.
"What will happen after February 7, 2015?
The Evernote app will not work on your BlackBerry PlayBook device.
    "Suggested Alternative
Your notes will always be available to you to view and edit on the Evernote website. Additionally, Evernote is available on mobile devices running Android, iOS, and Windows Touch."
    Also the case for BBOS.
    BB10 will still be supported.

  • I'm trying to download lion, i can see the icon but is says paused and i can't get it to start the download

I'm trying up upgrade to lion, but having issues.  Then icon is on the screen but it says paused and I can't get it to start the download

Ah, okay. This is a message that comes up when a developer has developed software for the Mac, but has not registered with Apple.  Apple does this to help keep viruses and malware out of your Mac.
To be able to run this, go to System Preferences and the General tap. At the bottom is the option to change this.  Select the section "All applications downloaded from:" and change it to Anywhere.
Just be careful what you install after this and only download from reputable sites (like Apple.com).
    Hope this helps!

  • Cannot download update from App Store

The APP store is teling me I have one item to download, I try to do this and I get a message tellng me it is disabling my password.I then get a message saying there is an error at the APP Store (100)  and to try later. I can still log into Itunes with my password despite being told its been disabled.  Can anyone help?

Do you have the WSJ app?
Spent much of the weekend trying to fix same problem. Apple support were polite but couldn't help. Then stumbled across a note against the latest WSJ update to say there had been a bug preventing downloads.
Deleted WSJ app, rebooted iPad, and problem solved
Hope this helps you or maybe others. A lot of people must be experiencing this problem - now I've figured it out, I've found chatter on Twitter etc.
Apple, perhaps you alert your Support staff.

  • HT204053 When I try to update apps from ap store the displayed I'd password is the wrong one I've tried all sorts to change it to the real one to no avail any suggestions it just keeps asking for the wrong one

When I try to update apps the iTunes id comes up wrong, I've tried to change it to the real one to no avail
    Suggestions please

The only way to get those apps registered to new apple id - to delete them and redownload again. If they are paid you have to pay again.

  • Cannot download book from ibooks store on iphone

I appear to be having a problem downloading any book within ibooks on my iphone 3g running ios4.
In one case, I have already purchased the book from my ipad and trying to redownload the book on my iphone I continue to get an message
"Sign in required, tap continue to sign in to continue synching your bookmarks with other devices"
I enter my credentials but the popup continues to appear over and over again at which point I instead hit cancel.
The book now appears to have fully downloaded but it stays 'stuck' with the progress bar filled but I do not have the ability to open the book and the progress indicator continues to spin.
This happens for both 'paid' books and 'free' books.
I tried to download the book again this time with the 'sync bookmarks' feature disabled within system preferences and the same problem happens. The book downloads with a full progress bar, but it never saves.
    I tried:
    - disabled sync feature
    - rebooting phone
    - deleting and re-installing iBooks
    Thoughts? Thanks!

Dears, the case is sorted now, and I am sharing the YouTube link which helped me to sort this issue, to help others.
    http://youtu.be/NzmsNutC6aI
it was simple due to not setting the date and time automatically in : Settings-General-Date and Time, then set automatically.
