I cannot download apps from the AppStor on my new iPad and iPhone 4S?

I got my new iPad but cannot download the new apps from the AppStore. Are there any restrictions on the devices for an apple id?

Hi...
Make sure Restricitions is not enabled.
Tap Settings > General > Restrictions
If you are using the same Apple ID to login to this forum it should work on your iPad at the App Store.

  • Ever since I have updated my software to iOS 7, I cannot download anything from the AppStore app and I have tried resetting my password and updating ITunes, but nothing works! Please help!

Ever since I have updated my software to iOS 7, I cannot download anything from the AppStore app and I have tried resetting my password and updating ITunes, but nothing works! Also when I try to sink my mini with my iTunes account it says you cannot sync because the sync session failed to start.

It sounds like to me you're trying to sync using the computer.
Try these things and see if it helps before you try your next syncing session. If none of the things below work then you might consider trying to sync using iCloud only.
    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • TS3274 Cannot download apps from the apps store. iOS 7.0.4.

I recently upgraded to version iOS 7.0.4. For my ipad 4. Now I cannot download apps from the apps store. Any suggestions?

The ipad is brand new. It downloaded the apps fine until I updated to the ios 7.0.4. two days ago. When I choose an app from the app store, I can select it and it appears to begin to download (it spins in circles). It does not prompt me for my Apple password. However, it generates a blank, undownloaded app on the ipad. It says waiting underneath the app. I hope that explains it better.
I also reset the ipad and it prompted me to either cancel or purchase several items. I have small children and it appears they were trying to buy upgrades and boosts for games alreadly on the ipad. I have tried to download another game and this time it has prompt me for my password. The app has come onto the screen and it is stuck in the waiting phase of the download.

  • TS1741 I cannot download apps from the app store. They just sit waiting

I just recently cannot download apps from the app store. The app just sits waiting and will not do anything. I have an iPad 2.

Check iTunes and see if you have a pending or stalled download in there. If you do, finish that download or delete it if you can. If you can't finish or delete the download on the iPad, do it in iTunes on your computer and then sync the iPad. Then go back to the apps and see if they will download.
If that doesn't work or if that was not the problem, go to Settings>Store >Apple ID, tap your ID and sign out. Then reboot the iPad, Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Then go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and sign in again and see if the apps will update.

  • Cannot download Apps from the App store on my ipod

Everytime i try to install an app on my ipod it always says "Authorization failed. Please connect to iTunes." can someone please tell me what to do

Sign in to your iTunes Store account on your computer, then sync your iPod.
When you sync your iPhone or iPod touch, the iTunes application on the computer will share its current iTunes Store account ID with the device you are syncing. This account ID will be used to make purchases from the iTunes Store and App Store on the mobile device.
The account ID that was synced to the device is displayed at the bottom of each page of the iTunes Store, so you'll always know what account you are using on the device. Simply open iTunes on your mobile device and scroll to the bottom of any page to see which account is currently in use.

  • I can't download Apps from the AppStore, there is always a the notice fail 1004.... Maybe Someone can help me? And maybe in German? Thx

    Maybe Someone can help me.....

You could see if this page helps. I've also seen it mentioned that clearing Safari's cache (Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data or Clear Cache, and Clear History).
Also closing the App Store app and doing a reset might help. To close the App Store app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Hi .
    Reset the device:

    Then try again.
If that doesn't help, select None for payment method >  iTunes Store: Changing your payment information

  • HT5957 After downloading iOS 7 on my mini iPad I cannot download apps fron the Apps store.likewise I cannot update the apps that needs to be updated. Please advise.

After downloading iOS 7 on my iPad mini I cannot download apps from the Apps store. Likewise I cannot update the existing apps which needed updating. In addition apps would just close or hang up.please help. How can I correct these?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    I'm curious...
What happens when you attempt to download from the App store?

  • HT4623 When i download any free app from the appstore a message is appearing verification required what must i do

When i download any free app from the appstore a message is appearing verification required what must i do???

You need to view your iTunes account and make sure you have a valid payment method in the account. Unless you initially setup the account without a credit card you need a valid payment method even for free apps.

  • I can't download any apps from the appstore.

I can't download any apps from the appstore. I try to push the 'free' button and it won't do anything. The 'ratings' button won't work either. They literally don't do anything. I checked with those in my family who have iphones, and they are having the same problems.

Did you try force quitting the app?
do any of your applications have trouble connecting to the internet?
