I cannot download final cut pro, it is not letting me buy it

I can't buy it and I don't know why? It just kicks me out, plus a tech told me today that support was 24/7 yet I cannot get it at this hour???

Cannot download Final Cut Pro from the app store

Hello,
I cannot download Final Cut Pro from the app store.
I says "Failed to download" and error has occurred
What is wrong?
is it my Macbook?

I had a problem way back in the olden days, i.e., FCPX 10.0.2, and finally gave up and called the Apple Store using a land-line phone.
Anyway, (this was a couple years ago), if I remember right, they passed me off to someone in the FCPX group and I got the App. However, this was not a really goo way to go because for many updates afterward, everytime I wanted to update I had to go thorugh the same ritual.
Finally, probably around 10.0.8, things got "fixed" and since then I've been able to go direct and download it from the App Store without having to make a phone call.
My suggestion would be to try calling the App Store. Maybe, if there is a "global problem" and they get a lot of calls, they will fix it.
Heck, maybe write a Knowlede Base (KB) article about it.
Disclaimer: I didn't check to see if there was one.

My Final Cut pro x will not let me do 1 frame stills

I am working with a Time lapse and final cut x will not let me make the duration any shorter than 2 seconds. How do I over ride?

The selection duration can be made very small, but of course it's very difficult to deal with a one frame selection. Usually the best thing is to convert the image sequence to video before bringing it into FCP, or you can put all the items in the timeline, select them, and set the duration to one or two frames.

My Final cut pro x is not letting me share my files

I keep trying to export my files and the only that i ave figured out how to do it is to share on my default file so that i can have a accessable file so i can upload it to youtube , or directly share to youtube . it wont convert i always get an error message

You are using a version prior to 10.1. The 10.0.8 version in particular had export failure tendencies.
Sometimes they were caused by corrupted clips and just as often by bad renders – even though he error message didn't differentiate.
The delete (or replace) clip solution that Ian Brown suggested is worth trying. An alternative way to locate the reported frame position is to go to Preferences and change Time Display to Frames.
If deleting (or replacing) the clip at that frame location leaves you still unable to share, then turn off background rendering select your project in the Project Library and then from the File menu, Delete Project Render Files (choosing All); do a similar exercise to get rid of event render files. Without rendering, see if you can now export.

Open the Mac App Store and go to Purchases. Do you see Final Cut Pro X listed?
If so, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and delete Final Cut Pro X. Then, go to the Mac App Store and download Final Cut Pro X for free.
If you don't see it in Purchases, see if it's hidden, and if so, unhide it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4928 If it doesn't work, contact with the Mac App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact

Thanks for responding Tom. Yes I was trying to conform frame rates, I found a few threads/youtube tutorials that all used cinema tools. Now I've spent some time in FCPX I can see where you can conform.

I realized that my laptop only has 2GB of memory. It's a MacBook Pro 13in bought in 2009. Is it true that I'm able to upgrade up to 8GB of memory. Seems like 4GB of space is a lot for a single program to be running.. A bummer I'll have to save up for more memory.

I'm having an issue in downloading Final Cut Pro from the Mac App store. I've seen all the "log out, then log in then stand on your head" steps to make it work but it doesn't. I can download apps, just not Final Cut. I've uninstalled my trial version but am still getting the error 100. I'm running a mid 2009 mac mini with a (2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB, and 8 GB of memory). Any help would be appreciated.

Downloading Final Cut Pro

I'm looking to download Final Cut Pro to my MacBook Pro. If I download the Final Cut Pro X (Version 10.0.9) will I have problems trying to take things that I edit on my computer and putting them on my school computer which is Final Cut Pro 7? Would I still be able to import projects?

If you wanted to edit FCP7 projects in FCPX by importing them, you would need to use the third party application, 7toX. You export an XML from FCP7 and then use 7toX to bring it into FCPX. If you need to go the reverse route, the developers offer a similar (more expensive) app.
Here is the developer's Web site where you can learn what translates between the two versions of FCP and what doesn't.
