I cannot download iTunes because the botton in the page doesn't appears

I had to reformat my PC. I went to Apple page to download the iTunes the botton to start it doesnt appear. It shows a big gray square with a small image of a binder.

Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

    Hi wanda578,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you're unable to install or update iTunes due to an issue with the Apple Mobile Device Service, I'd suggest trying to restart it by following the steps in this article:

  • HT1925 i currently have mac os x and cannot download itunes because it say that i need to have 10.5 or more so i can have itunes please help because i need itunes badly than you

i dont know how to deinstall itunes ...i dont have the iconbelow so i cannot drag it and i cant find it...i can only find itunes 9.2  but doesnt let me open it because it says that i have a newer version which i cannot open either because my computer is 10.4 and i need an older version...thats why i downloaded 9.2 and now it doesn't let me because somewghere in the computer theres a newer one
    please help

This is not a QuickTime issue so this was not the best forum in which to take up this question, but if you have only Mac OS X 10.4.x on your computer, you cannot install any version of iTunes later than 9.2.1, which you can download here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1056
Note that you will need to have updated your iMac to Mac OS X 10.4.11.
If you need a newer version of iTunes, you will need to upgrade your system to at least Mac OS X 10.5.8 which would allow you to install iTunes 10.6.3. If you have a new iPhone 5 or iPad that requires iTunes 10.7, you will need Mac OS X 10.6. Neither Mac OS X 10.5 nor 10.6 are a free upgrade.
    Regards.

  • HT2311 i currently have mac os x and cannot download itunes because it say that i need to have 10.5 or more so i can have itunes please help because i need itunes badly than you

I hace a mac os x and doesnt let me install itunes because there's a message that tells me that i need 10.5 or more please help...and tell me what i need to buy or download so i can have itunes asap thanks

Okay, now we are getting somewhere.  With a Core2Duo you can upgrade to at least Snow Leopard, and you will need Snow Leopard at least if you want to upgrade further.
    1) Make sure your computer meets Snow Leopard technical specifications - http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575  This mostly means making sure it is an Intel Mac (yours is) and has at least 1GB RAM (more is recommended).  To check RAM, go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then  "About This Mac". Now continue to "More Info...".  It should say you have at least 1GB of "memory".
    2) Apple no longer carries 10.6 in its stores or online. Telephone Apple to purchase a Snow Leopard disc. In the USA: (800) 676-2775 (contact information for other countries: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57)
Alternatively you can buy from online retailers but anticipate paying much more than the original price which is the price still charged by Apple
    3) Backing up your computer before upgrading is always a good idea.
    4) After installing from the DVD, update your Snow Leopard installation using Software Update or manually downloading and installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v.1.1 - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
    Further upgrade options:
Kappy 08/2012 post on upgrading to Snow Leopard, then Lion or Mountain Lion -  https://discussions.apple.com/message/19401628 - including how to get Snow Leopard and Lion since Apple removed them from the online store.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    Hi Gurmo,
HRESULT: 0x80073712 means ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT, and it is one of the error codes listed at this
    KB article.
I suggest you run the System Update Readiness tool and check if the error still persists.

I would like to use a copy of Mountain Lion for development, but the store tells me I cannot download it because my MacBook 4,1 is not compatible! What can I do to download it?
I have paid for it and all...

    You can't do anything. See:
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
Your computer does not meet the requirements to run Mountain Lion.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • I own 3 ipod shuffles and 1 ipod nano and cannot use because I cannot download itunes.  I keep getting error 2 message.

Cannot download itunes.  Keep getting an error 2 (Windows error 2) message.  Cannot fix this problem

Hi..I went ahead and ran the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. I used it to remove "Adobe Reader 7.0.8." After doing this, I checked in "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel to make sure that AR 7.0.8 was gone, and it thankfully was. Then I deleted the WICU, ran CCleaner's registry cleaner, rebooted, and tried to install Adobe Reader 9.0. When I tried this, I got the following error message (this occurred during the time when the installer was "writing system registry values"):
    *****ADOBE READER 9 INSTALLER INFORMATION
Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{C523F39 F-9C83-11D3-9094-00104BD0D535}\ProgID.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.*****
What should I do now? Do I need to do something about the "permissions" for this key?
    Thanks to anyone with advice...

Cannot download iTunes to PC with Windows XP and service pack 3. When I hit "download now" it goes stright to the "thanks for downloading" screen but downloads nothing.

I can't answer that. I'm just a user. Apple makes it decisions and does not share that with anyone here as you well know. Apple has also stopped supporting syncing contacts and calendar with the latest version of OS X, Mavericks. Users have to use iCloud. Many are not happy about that. Let Apple know how you feel here: www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.

  • Says I can't download itunes because of a older version that cannot be removed

I cannot load itunes because I have a older verson that can't be removed. I have no idea where to find it

I cannot load itunes because I have a older verson that can't be removed.
Doublechecking. Is it saying it can't remove the older version of iTunes, or some other program? If it's a different program, what is the name of the program? (Several different programs can be mentioned in this context: itunes, bonjour, Apple Software Update, etc.)
