I cannot download my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

While downloading when 'executing script' the process stops and appears a window where it is stated that the product cannot be downloaded because another version of Acrobat exists. How to get rid of this software?

Dear Jeff, installation proceeds till almost the end; when 1 min is missing
the process stops and a window appears: 'Impossible to proceed as in the
chosen file a version of Acrobat already exists. Please contact the
software producer for assistance'.
So, given of granted that a version of Acrobat is somewhere in my computer,
how can I get rid of it? Or How can I activate it if it is fully functional?

    Have no clue. You have given us no information. What OS, what happens when you try to open Acrobat X? Are you trying to open from the Acrobat icon or by double clicking on a PDF? Add screen shots if needed to show the results, particularly any error messages.

    I tired looking up your account using the Adobe ID/email address that you use here in the forums. I don't see any Acrobat purchases tied to that Adobe ID. Did you make your purchase or register Acrobat using a different Adobe ID? If so, please log in to www.adobe.com using that Adobe ID, click Manage Account, and the click Plans & Products. Your registered products should be listed there.

    I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and when I dowload it gets to a point where it says "Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Set up will terminate." But nothing is installed. Am I missing something?

    While the Standard version is not a more functional version, the message you are getting is one that you would get if you were trying to install Standard when Pro was installed.  I can only think that you need to uninstall Standard if you want to have Pro.

    and activate with your serial, but note the folder into which you download the file.
    if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
