I cannot enlarge or change thumbnail images on ebay regardless of what browser i use ff and ie . Im using window 7

I think i have tried everything that has been posted on chats and on mozilla help . I just cannot enlarge an image or change the thumbnail view on ebay items. People state that if they use IE it will work . Well I cant do it in IE either . I tried chrome also same . Everything else on ebay works fine. I have emptied my cache, made sure java is enabled, I uninstalled adblock plus ? Nothing seems to work . Im not sure when this started . I think it may hav been when i updated to the newest firefox?, but some say it it is ebays new format that is causing the problem in firefox, but again they also say that if you use another browser you will be fine , and that is not true in my case. ......Any suggestions would be appreciated . I am not a computer expert by any means so please explain it like im a 7 year old.....Thanks

I had precisely this problem and even though I updated Java to the current version it persisted. I solved it by checking the add on Java Console in the brower and I found that I had two - an earlier version was still there as well as the current. I uninstalled it and everything worked perfectly.
In FF click tools, add ons and then scroll down and see if you have two Java consoles and uninstall the one with the lower version number.
there is great feeling of achievement when it actually works!!

Changing Thumbnail Image Location

Is it possible to change the location of the thumbnail images on the enlarged photo page (second page in on the Photo Page)? By default they reside horizontally above the enlarged picture. I would like to move the thumbnails vertically to the left or right of the picture.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. No. That being said Cyclosaurus has posted numerous javascripts to modify iWeb in a number of ways. He's posted a script to remove the thumbnail strip from the photo page: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8318600&#8318600 .
I've not found any scripts to move the strip to the side.
However, it can be done with java based slide shows like those shown in these demo pages which has a variety of configurations available:

Image Processor Pro won't run in PS6 using Window 7 OS.

Trying to run IPP on a Windows 7 OS in PS6. I select my images in bridge and run the script IPP. Photoshop pops up and a blank white screen appears and nothing else happens.

Scripting was an extra down for PS7 and the first version of Photoshop to have scripting support PS6 has no scripting support. The Image Processor Pro script uses newer scripting features like Plug-in support that was added in CS3 and I think Image Processor Pro needs newer then that like it may only works with CS5, CS6 and CC. I use it with CS6 and CC... I do not usr the installer I extract the zxp file and install manually. There are a couple of minor issues the X is working on Alpha Channels in PSD files and some TGA and BMP support... Adobe has pull Russell Brown off of Photoshop and X is feed up with Adobe.. Make sure you have the latest version of the script... I use Windows 7 Pro OS...

Yes there is a way to do it, however we cannot help you without knowing the OS and version of Access connections.

When I open an image in Photoshop, I cannot see the file. The thumbnail in on the right, but I cannot see the image on the work area. I am using Windows 8

When I open Photoshop CS6 I cannot view the image. The thumbnail is visible on the right hand side and the work area shows the file information, but no image. I have updated PS, my driver. It is the same for both jpg or RAW.

Be sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Try disabling GPU acceleration in the preferences then restart Photoshop.

Changing thumbnail image orientations in photo page

Hello Guys!
I have created a new photo page in iweb09 and tried dragging some images from the image folder on my system. The Problem is i have few portrait oriented images but all of them display as landscape in the thumbnail gallery. The flip option in the inspector does not solve the problem too.
Any suggestions??

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do those photos display correctly if dragged from your HD into a Safari window? If not use Xee to losslessly rotate the photos and then add to iWeb's photo page. See if that won't produce correct thumbnails.
Or import those photo into iPhoto which will create a rotated modified version and thumbnail and add that to iWeb via the Media Browser.

Change thumbnail image on device rotation in custom store

We have a custom store front that is populated on loading the page.
we use sample code from one of the store building examples.
that code has a methods like getPreviewImageHandler and loadPreviewImage that take a boolean to select either the portrait or landscape image for the store view.
but this method is only called when the page loads.
so if we want to use the portrait image on portrait view pages and the landscape image for the landscape view, we'd need to reload the page on rotation which we dont want to do.
does anyone have any ideas or examples of how we could dynamically swap that image out on device rotation.
The Wired magazine does it beautifully, so it must be possible.
there must be a AJAX solution.
Can anyone help us out please?

You can set a "poster frame" in Quicktime when the file is opened in Quicktime Pro and I believe you can do that as well when using Get Info (not a Mac guy). Otherwise this is entirely arbitrary. Sometimes it's the first frame, sometimes the middle, sometimes one from the 10 minute save chunks AE uses when writing certain clip formats. Still, even if there is a poster frame it doesn't mean that it's actually used anywhere. This stuff simply is not standardized and latest when you open your files on another system all of this may be for nought since the thumbnails would not be in your system's folder view caches. You really should not spend too much time thinking about this and rather use tools that produce persistent thumbnails within their own ecor system like Bridge or video archival database programs.

I cannot save any changes made in the Preferences box. I go to Edit, then Preferences. When the window opens, I can check or uncheck boxes in the General window BUT, there are no Cancel or OK buttons at the bottom of the window. HELP!!

There are no "Cancel" or "OK" buttons at the botton of my "Preferences" box that allow me save any changes that I might mak in the "General" window. The box opens without problem and changes can be made in the "General" window however, these changes cannot be saved. If I close the window with the "X" in the upper right hand corner and then reopen it, any changes made are lost. I'm running Windows XP and would appreciate any help that I can get.

Oh good, that one's pretty straightforward. When you make that change in the pane, the OK is the active button. For example, I just quickly changed mine to "Import CD and Eject", and you can see that the OK button is blue in my screenshot:
... so to make that setting stick, all you need to do is to hit your "Enter" key, and that should press the OK.
Unfortunately, I don't have any music in the iTunes library on the PC I'm working from at the moment. So I can't check my "Automatically download album artwork" checkbox.
Ed, could you check for us which item is active after changing that setting? (If it's the OK button, then hitting enter should press the invisible button, just like "When you insert a CD".)
Changing "Import Settings" is trickier, because after you get out of the "Import Settings" subdialog, the "Import Settings" button is active. So you then have to hit the tab key precisely five times (to get OK active again) and then hit Enter to get Import Settings changes to stick.

Thumbnail images in Google's search results?? (Using Adobe Muse)

I've been hunting around a lot of pages (including webmaster tools) My question is simple, but the answers don't seem to be!
Does anyone have an easy and fast way, of adding a thumbnail that will show up next to a website search result in Google?
This is obviously a site designed and uploaded directly from Adobe Muse.

You can change Firefox's proxy settings under:
* (For Windows) Tools (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]]) > Options
* (For Mac and Linux) Edit (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]]) > Preferences

I used to be able to change the output to mono regardless of the input I used. Is this still possible in Garageband 10?

I have several speeches recorded in Garageband. I mistakenly created the tracks as two input tracks, but in reality, they were only mono. Previously in Garageband, one could select the inputs for a track even after it was recorded, thus changing a two input/stereo recording into a mono. Now, I do not see that setting at all. I do see the two circles next to the track title on the track itself, but nowhere does it allow me to make a change. Does anyone know whether I can select the inputs for a track after it has been recorded? The Inspector has many different effects, but I am admittedly overwhelmed by the number of them in this case and have not seen one that permits the kind of adjustment I want to make.
Any ideas? (i would rather not have to do something like input them into iTunes in order to manipulate them which I hear might work but is not what I would call an elegant solution to the problem)

Almost immediately after I asked the question, I tried one more option. I created a new track with only one input. I copied my two input track into it and suddenly it was heard in both channels as if it was a mono recording. It did not make any difference which input I had used to record it originally, I tested adding a track with Input 1 and then Input 2 and both behaved the same way.
I realize there may be other ways to do this. Feel fee to add your input.

Why cannot I see my music on my iPod when connected to the pc, using Windows explorer

I am having problems with seeing my iPod Classic in my Windows Explorer.... when connecting using the correct leads I can only see the non-essential directoris, my music is hidden and is shown as F1, F2, F3,etc......
Please help as I wish to transfer the music to my netbook...

Those F1, F2, etc., folders are the ones containing your actual music. If you copy these over to your Desktop and then into iTunes most of your track tags should still be with associated with the correct tracks in these folders. Some may not.
