I cannot find create an apple id for a child on itouch. Any suggestions please?

can someone please assist with the above. I set up the iTouch using my apple ID but i can't seem to find the option to set one up for a minor

What part can't you do:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Family, and tap "Create an Apple ID for a child."
Enter your child's birthday and tap Next. The birthday for a child's account can't be changed after the account is created. Be sure to enter the correct date.
Review the Parent Privacy Disclosure and tap Agree.
Enter the security code for your credit card and tap Next. If you don't have a credit card on file, you'll need to add one.
Enter your child's name, tap Next, then create their Apple ID ([email protected]) and tap Next.
Follow the onscreen instructions to set a password, choose security questions, and set up your child's account. Choose passwords and security questions that you both can remember.

  • I am trying to create an apple ID for a child but I can't find where to change my shared payment info on my iPad

How/where can I update this card to mt credit card instead of my debit card?

    Hi azbaby2000,
If you need to change the payment method associated with your Apple ID, use the steps in this article -
Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID) - Apple Support

With a new account, you'll need to rebuy the games.
Each user should have their own icloud account, otherwise they end up getting the same emails, contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc. - usually not what you want.  But if all have been sharing the same itunes ID, keep it that way, you can have different IDs for itunes and icloud.
If you already have another icloud account, and want to set it up on a device, then go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud.  Then enter the account ID that you want to use.
To create a new icloud account, go to

  • HT5622 How can I create an Apple ID for my child without linking it to a credit card?

How can I create an Apple ID for my child without linking it to a credit card?

    Hi Kappy..
that did use to be the case but ios 8 you can create a child's Apple ID which will stay linked to the main Apple ID until they are 13 when they can if you wish take over the Apple ID themselves.
I Have the same question regarding creating an Apple ID for my son but it insists I have to add a credit card to prove I'm an adult.
thing is I don't have another card to add to my Apple ID I have been using the same card for all my family's Apple purchases i just update my details when I get issued a new one.
Any ideas or suggestions greatly accepted.
    cheers

  • Our daughter just got an iPad Mini and I set it up for her, but I originally set it up under my apple id in order to create an apple id for her.  Is there any way for me to switch it to her account as the main user?

Our daughter just got an iPad mini and I originally set it up under my Apple ID in order to create an Apple ID for her (she's under 13 so I set up iCloud family)... is there any way to switch the main user to her so that she can use iMessage and such under her own account?  When she uses iMessage it's my account.  I can't find a solution anywhere.  Thank you!!

    Hi Maudluna,
I understand you would like to sign out your Apple ID from an iPad. You can do this easily by following the steps in the article below. I have also linked to an article about Family Sharing which can help you create and manage multiple accounts:
iOS: Sign in with a different Apple ID in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support
Start or join a family group using Family Sharing - Apple Support
Family Sharing makes it easy for up to six people in your family to share each other’s iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases without sharing accounts. Pay for family purchases with the same credit card and approve kids’ spending right from a parent’s device. And share photos, a family calendar, and more to help keep everyone connected.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

  • How to create an apple id for your child

how to create an apple id for your child

You can create an id without accredit card that might be what you want.  Ten use that ID for your child's iMessage and iCloud and use your ID for iTunes and App Store on both phones. That way you can control what is purchased.  I would set up restrictions on the kid's phone with a pun that you only know and durn off in app purchases

  • My iPhone 3GS is not showing in "devices" on my iTunes. Tried everything that Apple advize but still not working. Any suggestions please? :)

Hello, hope someone can please help. I've had my iPhone 18 months, not had any problems with using it. Trying to update the software to 4.0 on iTunes but it's just not recognizing it at all. It's not there under devices (infact, even the heading "devices" isn't shown), Tried a different USB port but that didn't solve it.
Have changed my startup (using msconfig) as Apple suggested, but again still nothing. Have downloaded the latest iTunes and *again* not working!!!!
    Any suggestions please?

Perhaps you have already done this, but I'd be sure to verify that it's not your cable...try a different cable and that will eliminate that as a source of the error.

  • Just received new iPad2, cannot seem to connect to emails - it just stays on "Verifying", any suggestions please?

Can anyone  help me get started with email connection (to ntlworld), I can actually get on to Safari and Apps but after numerous occassions of filling in my email account details and just reads "Verifying" for ages.

You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

  • Why is a credit card needed to create an Apple ID for a minor?

I'm trying to create an Apple ID for my child and I have to have a credit card on file to do so?  What sense does this make?  If a debit card is REALLY that taboo that I can't do something as simple as this...
Anyway, why is a credit card required? What if I don't have a credit card, or don't want to use one?

Try creating the aaple id directly from the app store.
App store> Top Chart> Free>  click on any free app and the it will ask you to create an Apple ID.
In this process it will show u a "None" option in the payment info along with Visa and MasterCard.
    Click none and continue..

The internet is the internet. if its not working then its something to do with your not allowing cookies from apple's site or they are having issues.

  • HT204053 how do i create an apple id for my 12 yr old?

how do i create an apple id for my 12 yr old?

    Welcome to the community.
Unfortunately, you cannot do that. The first hurdle that you are going to face, is that mobile devices, by virtue of being prone to loss, will always require that a password is entered before a purchase of any kind is made.
If your concern about the password, is related to your privacy in regard to your mail, contacts and calendar information rather than their acces to make purchases, then the best solution would be for you to use another Apple ID for iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.

  • HT201209 How can I create an apple ID for my daughter, without adding a credit card to the account?

How can I create an apple ID for my daughter, without adding a credit card to the account? I have tried to purchase a gift card online, but it just credits it to my account; I cannot use it to credit her new account therefore I cannot create that account.

There are intructions on this page for how to create a new account without giving credit card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
e.g. log out of your account, find a free a free app in the store, click on its free 'price' :
click on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
Agree to the terms and fill in the details, and you should get 'none' on the payments screen.
