I cannot find my iMac in iCloud

Hi
When I have checked "Find My Mac" in iCloud System Preferences, my Mac doesn't show up in Find My iPhone.
On my iPad it shows: "Offline"
My iMac is connected to internet: mail, Safari, FaceTime, and everything is working perfectly.
I can't find more settings to fiddle with.
Help!

Ok thanks for the help, but i'll wait till OSX Mavericks is released and see if it sorts itself out, if not i'll take it to Apple..

Please always state your operating system when you have a question. From your description it is evident that you have Snow Leopard or earlier.
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).

If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further.

If you have backups on both icloud and on your computer, then do a restore from either source. If the phone is new, connect it to iTunes, it should offer you the choice to restore from computer or from icloud.
Note:
You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

Cannot find my notes on icloud

I've back-upped my phone to the iCloud and cannot find my notes. Does anyone know where they are stored?

Notes are not available when accessing iCloud via webmail access using a browser. Being included with your iPhone's backup via iCloud does not make the notes available there or anywhere else. That is for when restoring your iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed or when wanting to transfer the backup for an old iPhone to a new iPhone.
Notes can be synced over the air with your iCloud account and with a supported application on your computer with your iCloud account.

If you backed up your phone to iCloud over wifi, the backup would contain your camera roll photos. However, you would have to restore the entire backup to your device to recover the photos.

Joining iCloud has signed you out of MobileMe. Go to System Preferences>MobileMe and sign in again: then you can access your iDisk at Finder menu Go>iDisk>My iDisk.

It's between the Control and Command keys on the lower left. It's also called alt but is best know as the Option key. You are using an Apple keyboard aren't you?

I backed up my iPod and i cannot find my pictures on iCloud. help?

I am trying to restore my ipod. pushing everything onto icloud then back onto my ipod.. but i'm having trouble finding my music and photos to couble check they're on icloud. how would i sucessfully do this? any help would be really appreciated!

Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

I cannot find my most recent iCloud backup for my iPhone 4S

Backed up to iCloud in the Apple Shop today (11/10/12) before my Genius appointment, warranty still in place, got a new 4S. Can't now only find a backup from the 19th Sept and 10th Sept, any advice please?

Cannot find backed Note in Icloud

I accidentally erased one of my notes on my iphone 4S. The Icloud backup says that one was done at 1:30 am but when I go into Icloud the last notes was 17 days ago. What happend to the back up from 1:30 AM this morning.

The iCloud backup backs up the device contents so you can restore the entire device from a backup. The Notes, Reminders, Contacts, etc. on icloud.com are syncronized with the content on your device (and vice versa), so deleting a note from your iPhone would also remove it from icloud.com. If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.
searching the internet i found a link to upgrtade to 10.7
The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

are you running OS X 10.7.2 on your iMac? If not, that's why. Also, please put the correct OS X in your profile. It says you are running iOS 5.0.1, which can not be run on a mac. That is only for iDevices. This will prevent further confusion.

Until Apple updates the desktop versions of the iWork apps you have to use iCloud.com in a web browser or iTunes to sync files. You could also try e-mail or DropBox.
