My keynote documents are being backed up at icloud and i cannot find anymore on my ipad. I dont know how to access the icloud with the keynote
The iPad isn't supposed to appear in the Finder.

Cannot import into iPad keynote
Greetings everyone; I have MS Office 2008 and iWork '09 on my MacBook Pro with the latest iTunes and Mac OS X 10.6.4. For some reason, files will not copy from my iTunes keynote file list onto my iPad. I have seven PowerPoint presentations to load on my iPad, but they just won't go over. I tried saving them as .key files in Keynote on my MBP and importing them to iPad Keynote, but that also doesn't work. I was able to copy over .ppt files and open them in iPad Keynote before, but now nothing works, not even importing .key files. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know.

what im trying to do is transfer some photos from my iPad to my iPhone using Transfer via Bluetooth. But it's not working. Yes, I know iCloud should do this, but my wife activated the restrictions on my iPad when she let our son use my ipad, but now can't remember the password. iCloud is now grayed out and nothing is transfering. If you set up the Find My iPad service in the Settings prior to the iPad going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, wiped of its data or locked (which does the same thing as activating the screen lock), though it depends on a number of factors: the iPad is turned on, is connected to a WiFi or 3G network, and has not had the Find My iPad service turned off or the iPad completely restored.
If you did not set up Find My iPad, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPad (the iTunes Store, for instance).

This problem developed in mid December. the synching worked perfectly on my 18 month old iPad 2 until then. Now the iPad will not sink my calendar, contacts and notes from my desktop Outlook program. It does seem to sync my pictures. the wireless keyboard had no problem recognizing the iPad until mid-December. I tried to reset the iPad by pressing the on off and home button concurrently. The iPad logo appeared but the iPad did not reset. Instead, my full configuration on the iPad along with all of my apps simply reappeared. I am at a loss as to what happened and what to do about it.
Your post indicates iOS 4.3 which is now quite old. I am going to suggest restoring your iPad, which, among other things, will update your iOS to the current version.
I recommend restoring your iPad. Make sure you have the current version of iTunes on your computer (currently 11.0.1). Plug your iPad into your computer, let it sync, then press "Restore" on the right side when the summary page of the iPad is displayed in iTuens' display. -

You get the iBooks version through the iBooks bookstore. Just search for "iPad User Guide". -

Are you in the US? Not all apps are available in all countries. There is no way to download anything from a website, like Kindle. If it's not in your App Store, you won't be able to have it.

How to find a lost word document
I was working on a document on Friday 23rd May, saved it and closed it as usual. Today is Sunday 25th and I have tried to access the document. I have gone to recrntly opened documents on Word for Mac. The usual icon has disappeared and in it place was an empty white box. I have clicked on the document and a message displayed saying that word could not locate the document would I like to locate it myself.
I have taken a print screen of the location of the document. I have searched but cannot find it.
The document was saved in the usual way so I can think of no reason why this has happened.

How did the photos get onto the iPad ? An iPad will only show in Windows Explorer if there are photos on it that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites - if the only photos on it were synced to the iPad from a computer then the iPad will not show in Explorer.
That is the computer that the iPad is synced to ?
If they were originally synced to your iPad from a computer then to remove them from your iPad connect your iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes under 'devices' (you can enable the sidebar via control-S on a PC)
And then use the Photos tab on the right-hand side of the screen to remove them
To remove all synced photos select an empty folder on that tab and sync that. -

Using Pages on my iPad, I save to iTunes to share it with my iMac. After download I cannot find the documents in my iMac. Not in Pages, not in iTunes, so where do they go?
Until Apple updates the desktop versions of the iWork apps you have to use iCloud.com in a web browser or iTunes to sync files. You could also try e-mail or DropBox.

I have downloaded the latest pages update on my iPad, but my iMac still has Pages version 4.3, and I cannot find out how to update it on my desktop. When I try to send something from my iPad pages via email to be opened on my desktop in Pages, it won't open in Pages. I get a message that it can't be opened because the version is too old. I sent the document as a PDF and it worked. But I want to be able to use Pages back and forth. HOw do I update the Pages version on my desktop iMac?
The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.
