My IPOD Nono 2nd Gen showes up in ITunes but when I clike on it it just disapears and the only way to get IPOD Icon back is to disconnect it from PC then reconnect it when agin the icon apperas but when selected just disapears. Also I cannot Find the IPOD in the device Manager on PC not sure if this is cause of problem. The IPOD worked OK up to 4 weeks ago Can any one help please?
Try one or more of the following:
> Restart Your Computer
> Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
> Reset iPod (nothing will get deleted)
> Look in My Computer (Windows 98, XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista or 7) and see if your iPod is in there.
In some cases (and this happened to me before) plug your iPod in and out your computer a few times. It should get it going. If not, then I strongly recommend starting your computer. -

I cannot find my IPOD touch listed on ITunes (there is no "Device" menu option in iTunes- any advice?). Using IPOD touch (32gb) and connecting with a laptop using Windows Vista. Downloaded the latest ITunes and it wiped all my music. I was able to recover the music purchased on Itunes (but not my CD downloads). I am having difficulty syncing my IPOD now and all of the help guides tell me that I need to use the "device" options to fix it but there is no "Device" options in my ITunes ribbon.
Just the old fashioned way, like if you lost your wallet.
Apple will not help.
If it is in your home and wifi is on and connected you can call it with FaceTime, Skype or other app that will play a notification sound and listen for it.
Report to police and change the passwords for all account used on the iPod -
Why does it tell me to go to support and I cant find my ipod on my computer or itunes?
Why does it tell me to go to support and I cant find my ipod on my computer or itunes?
Dude I totally have that same problem with mine. I've done all the trouble shooting I possibly can. It's so aggrivating because I can't put anything on it or take anything off of it. The charger cord does have kind of a little slit in in but I'm not sure if this is the problem. My suggestions are to contact apple themselves, at least that's what I'm doing.

Creative Cloud is installed and working on my computer, nevertheless the Application "Adobe Illustrator" appears as "Installed and Updated" but it is physically NOT in my computer.
I cannot find the Application in my computer, I installed Photoshop and other Apps, they are all to find in my PC, except Illustrator.
I tried to uninstall Creative Cloud and all the Apps that I had, I re-installed creative cloud but still it showed "Adobe Illustrator" as "installed and updated", even if I have no Adobe illustrator folder on my Computer, it really does not exist in my computer.
What is wrong with the Application?Klerica please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html for information on how to reinstall Adobe Illustrator.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

HT1329 I cannot see my iPod in My Computer to transfer my iTunes on to
I am trying to move my iTunes to a new laptop. I have followed the instructions in the article above and all was going well until I try to copy the iTunes folder on to my iPod to transfer it.
I cannot see my iPod in 'My Computer'! Any ideas?Try this:
Plug in your iPod,
1. Right click My Computer >> Manage and select Device Manager in the left tab.
2. Click Portable Devices >> right click Apple iPod >> Uninstall
3. Unplug and plug your iPod, now wait for windows to re recognize your ipod [ In Device Manager, you will see the new recognized Apple Ipod ]
4. Press F5 to refresh your windows explorer and see if your Apple iPod will show up with a camera icon.
Otherwise, refer to these articles:

My computer crashed and I had to reinstall iTunes. Now I cannot sync my iPod with my computer. Any suggestions?
Was this issue ever resolved?
Ditto for me! I am so upset because about 15 years, I've had the same old Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player which worked perfectly fine until the day Gigabeat (the software) upgraded to a Vista-compatibility program which made the MP3 go haywired!! I couldn't get the MP3 player (again) to work as normal prior to the update. Then, two years later, the business no longer supports MP3 players, nor does it invest in software patches! Now I have a failed equipment ... though it still plays, but just won't let me work the controls to choose or select tracks! I can only operate the on/off button on the Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player! AND, concidentally, the battery seems to shorten (lessen)! Interesting...
Then, I decided okay, I had enough...I can't play over 5.000 songs just to return to start; I decided to purchase the Apple iPod Classic 160 GB Silver! I've had it only since March 2012. It worked wonderfully at first. It took me months to put all the music from my CDs to this magical device. And, then, all of a sudden, my computer CRASHED (ironically in JUNE 2012!!) and lost all on the hard drive ... perhaps it is not ironic afterall.
Here's a tall quesion to Apple manufacturer, are they preparing us to confiscate our equipment? It sure seems that way to me!
No support from Toshiba (which, by the way, are currently investing in so-called "green energy in nuclear projects" in the state of Texas), nor is there any support by Apple ... Interesting! Sorry for babbling. But I'm tired of big money making corporations putting on the bluffer masks on the public! Something just ain't right! Hold tight to your vinyls, tape decks, cassettes, 8-tracks and CDs... This may be just another whim to making big time money! -
I cannot install my ipod to my computer. Says something about the device driver. I did not get it new either and so have no info about it. And I have never used one before and have no friends who have either. Can someone help me?

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

The pictures are attached to e-mail messages. I can get as far as Documents and Settings and my name but there is no Local Settings folder shown. Using MS search with the name of the file gives nothing. I use Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox. The file appears in Photoshop Elements and I can save it as a psd file but I cannot find either the jpg or the psd files to move them into My Pictures.
The Local Settings folder is a hidden folder.
(1) If the file appears in the Downloads manager (Tools menu or Ctrl+j), you can right-click it and use Open Containing Folder to get directly to it.
(2) To be able to see hidden folders on Windows XP in general, try this:
Open My Computer or Windows Explorer
Tools > Folder Options > View tab
Scroll down and look for the checkbox regarding hidden files and folders and unhide them.
Hopefully this will resolve the issue. Any luck?
(3) By the way, you may be able to save the images from the email message to a more convenient location by right-clicking the links and using Save Link As. (Before you open them for editing.) -

My first time backing up my iPhone 4. I cannot find the iTunes page on my computer that shows File>Device>Backup. I need step-by-step instructions, please!
Hey Jilleemay,
Thanks for the question. You may need to enable the iTunes menus for Windows:
iTunes: Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5610
To do so, press Control-B on your keyboard. You should then see the menubar at the top of iTunes (see image below). You can then access the File menu and backup your device.
Thanks,
Matt M.

I have a client that uses Windows that has recently told me she can no longer open the PDFs I send her. I can't find this elusive "Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments" setting that I have read may solve my problem. Can someone get me there?
