I cannot find the apple tv icon on my iTunes when I plug in the apple tv unit to my mac book

How do I restore my apple tv when I cannot get the apple tv icon to appear on my iTunes when I connect my apple tv to my macbook?

You have to use a micro-usb cable
Here's a manual with a screenshot. In iTunes 12, the ATV logo is just about in the same spot, but without the actual words "apple tv" next to it:

Particularly:
Battery does not charge
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
iPhone or iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive
If you see the image below, charge the iPhone or iPod touch with USB power adapter for at least 15 minutes.
You should see this image when iPhone or iPod touch begins to charge:
If the screen still displays the low-battery icon, try turning the iPhone or iPod touch off and then on again.
If the issue persists, follow these troubleshooting steps.

TS1387 I cannot find the list of my music on itunes when i plug my phone in although i can find my husbands itunes music

I am not sure what i have to do i just wanted to delete some items off my phone and add on some old tunes. i normally have to just tick or untick but cannot find my music with phone plugged in howver can find hubbys music. we do share a library but i have never had this problem before. please help

I have a pornographic search title in the banner at he op of the page just below the bookmarks shortcuts icons. It appears when that part of the screen drops down a bit when the on screen keyboard opens up. Its a spam like link that won't go away.

You saved it on the bookmark bar. Hit bookmarks, bookmark bar, edit, then hit the minus to delete it.

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue? Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

Apple configurator prompt to update iTunes when it's already the latest version

Hi there! We were trying out the Apple Configurator to help us in mass deploying our iPads for education purpose. However, when we tried to sign in with the Apple id it keeps prompting us to update our iTunes to the latest version. But problem is our iTunes was the latest version. Because of this we are not able to import any .ipa apps into it. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks!

Our apps are all freeware. No license.

I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and i used it for a couple of weeks to mirror with the Apple TV and then it mysteriously disappeared. Now when I double click and slide the icons at the bottom to far left, instead of finding airplay there is an extra music icon and a music control panel. If I open up the music app, there is an airplay icon top right next to volume control which works fine with mirroring the Apple TV, which suggests to me wi-if and networks are fine. I can only mirror music however. Any ideas anyone?

If it's AppleTV 2 or 3 (black) and you're used to an icon in iTunes from silver AppleTV1, then the newer versions are different - no icon in iTunes unless restoring via micro USB to USB cable.

this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions.
