I cannot find Tools in ff5

I have downloaded FF ver 5 but the FF icon on my desktop says that it is ver 4 but one of my problems it that if I click on the Firefox tab at the left hand top side of the screen there are NO tools settings to click on to set up for example do not track me etc what is wrong

If you are trying to find Tools > Options, in Firefox 5, click Firefox button, click Options, click Options. 
Also, ALT+T will open the Tools listing.

Cannot find TOOLS

I have 2 separate issues that I am having problems with-one being and online game and one being wanting to UNinstall the add on I have put on my PC. Both issues are requiring me to use the "tools" bar and I CANNOT find it!! I have looked my page over completely and there is NOTHING that says "TOOLS" PLEASE help me...I know I'm not completely ignorant here! lol I am pretty sure I have already upgraded to FF8. At the top, under addy bar, I have Highlight-Change Design-+Add Buttons and below that, I have Most Visited-Getting Started-Latest Headlines. Of course I have my "Bookmarks" as well. THAT IS IT!!! If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or tap the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.

Your issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I now have the pallete on the right side of my screen. But, I am unable to change the color of the brush. I move the eye dropper over red and click on it. A panel comes saying 'Pure Red', I click ok but the brush color does not change.

Just to the right of the eyedropper, above the pencil tool. It will show the icon for whatever shape you last used, but click whatever's there and go to the tool options at the bottom of the window to select the shape tool you want.

Well, as I always say... If I want things done right, I have to do them myself.
I found the solution on the Internet... One must place your pointer on the icon that is presently showing and then press the letter "o" key to toggle between the Burn, Dodge, and Sponge tools.

Unify Layer Style - cannot find the tools

Unify Layer Style - I have found the section in Adobe Help PDF, but for the life of me, I cannot find the tools within PS6 .... These are the instructions:
Unify layer properties
1.In the Animation panel (Photoshop Extended CS5) or Timeline panel (CS6), change the attribute to one frame.
2.In the Layers panel, click Unify Layer Position , Unify Layer Visibility , or Unify Layer Style to have the changed attribute apply to all other frames in the active layer.
I have multiple photographs I would like to create a video of. I want the fade affect to be applied to each picture, but so far I have only been able to update the fade on each idividual frame. I have searched and searched all over google and cannot find specific instructions of how to duplicate the fade affect to all my frames.

There in the top section of the layer palette when you in a frame animation in the timeline palette. Note the options they can be hidden...............
Unifying layer properties in animation frames
The unify buttons (Unify Layer Position, Unify Layer Visibility, and Unify Layer Style) in the Layers panel determine how the changes you make to attributes in the active animation frame apply to the other frames in the same layer. When a unify button is selected, that attribute is changed in all the frames in the active layer; when that button is deselected, changes apply to only the active frame.
The Propagate Frame 1 option in the Layers panel also determines how the changes you make to attributes in the first frame will apply to the other frames in the same layer. When it is selected, you can change an attribute in the first frame, and all subsequent frames in the active layer will change in relation to the first frame (and preserve the animation you have already created).
Unify layer properties
In the Animation panel (Photoshop Extended CS5) or Timeline panel (CS6), change the attribute to one frame.

Propagate frame 1

Show or hide Unify Layers buttons
Choose Animation Options from the Layers panel menu, and then choose one of the following:
Automatic Displays the unify layers buttons when the Animation panel is open. In Photoshop Extended, the Animation panel must be in frame animation mode.
Always Show Displays the unify layers buttons whether the Animation panel is open or closed.
Always Hide Hides the unify layers buttons whether the Animation panel is open or closed.
