I cannot get Bridge to open in my new CS5 Suite - I get the message that "the operation could not be completed." Photoshop comes up fine, but no Bridge. I have a MacBook Pro. Thanks.

I am having the same issue.
MacBook Pro, OSX 10.6.4
Photoshop CS5, Bridge CS5
It will not open, I have reinstalled, cleared the cache, & reset preferences, + installed the patch.
I do have Bridge CS3 that came with my PS Elements, & that works. Do not have any Norton, or other software running.

Have yu tried the standard fixes:
- Reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Restore the iPod via iTunes, First from backup and if problems persist, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

It's a POP account. I decided to clean up my mailbox today after noticing the computer was real slow after USA Today started sending their daily top stories with new graphics. Also before I noticed the problem with mail deletion - two things happened. 1) I updated security sofware as prompted by Apple and 2) downloaded Mackeeper and went throught some preliminary scans but did not buy their package. Sometimes rapid purchases look suspicious if you have a credit card attached to your account. Store credit takes a minute to catch up depending if the balance is low on the account. May want to check balance or with credit card company.

You are correct but to a point. I thought so too, however, like you, I am "second in command"...under myself.
I was in the same situation and tried others' successful workarounds. Nope. It shows you how to access the Administrator login, literally. It worked for me.
This is from a Microsoft support page (SJ has probably been alerted, so I don't have much time, LOL). I did not want to hit that "final" option and reinstall Win 7. The first time was trying enough and I was about to give in.

I was opposite on this one. What led me to think it wasn't the above was seeing this user " ` " , also known as Accent grave. The Users first file is labeled " ` " and has a little gold lock on it. When I scanned Task Manager, under Processes Tab, the User Name column showed " ` " attached to certain processes. I knew it was me, but did not realize it was the Alpha me
I cannot say if the system automatically did this or I or Alpha (I'm blaming Alpha). If there is a way to change this I do not know, and if I should. Either way, I will do some more research and pray another personality isn't isn't lurking about

It goes something like this...
Put your new drive in the enclosure. Use Disk Utility to format it, etc. I'd give it a slightly different name than the original. Let's say you have Old Disk and New Disk as your drive names. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy Old Disk to New Disk. Now you should have an exact copy, which you can test by rebooting and holding down the Option key. Choose New Disk from the list and let it boot, make sure all is well.
Shut down and physically swap the drives. Take Old Disk and put it in the enclosure. Now your system has a new disk with a lot more space and you can reformat your old disk and just use it for large files or whatever.
