I cannot get google cache search to function in Firefox

when I try to Google cache search for (certain color highlighted words on web pages) no color highlighted words show up.... A cache search is a great time saving convenience, and I miss mine not working. Is there anything I can do to reactivate it?

I'm trying to think of a reason that the script would change the size of type on the page... Perhaps what's happening is that the style sheet isn't loading due to secure/insecure settings. Could you use the script options to turn off HTTPS, then reload the cached page?

Cannot Get AD Password Sync to Function

I have install the AD Password connector s that I can syncronize passwords from AD to OIM and the otherway as well. When I change the password in OIM, it works fine. But when I try to chane it in AD, I get the following error:

Now when I look at the documentation, I see that the error is for one of three reasons. The first is that the password does not meet password policies set on OIM. I left the settings as default and have made sure that the password I'm reseting it to does conform to this. In fact, I have even turned off the password policies on AD so that nothing on the AD interferes with this. The second issue mentioned is that it contains characters that Oracle doesn't support. I cannot get any more generic than upper case, lower case, numeric and no special characters but maybe I'm missing something here. The last one is _"the user ID of an OIM User contains characters in the non-native encoding of the Microsoft Active Directory system."_ Again, I couldn't be more generic and I'm only changing one character at a time.
Now I'm a complete n00b when it come to OIM but I do have a lot of Microsoft AD experience. So if you can answer, please use small words. ;-)

I have the same error with AD password sync connector (The OIM server rejected the setPasswordRequest).
But I have changed the password for account AD with the same password from OIM (and in my case tree reasons of error are false).
Can You help me please?

I'm English but live in Germany.I have version 3.6, but cannot get Google to load in English. It see's my IP address and opens the German version. I think I have tried everything, nothing works. Can somebody help

I have set www.google.com as my home address, this always opens the German website, but at least there is a link to Google.com. If I open any other page before changing, it is always the German version, and there is no way to change it.
I don't have this problem with Explorer 8
Any ideas?

It is not the solution for me. I have a second pc witrh FireFox 3.6plus running on Windows XP service pack 3 This works fine, I get Google in English as normal.
The problem is with my Windows 7 pc, as the Google setup is the same, it must be something local.

Cannot get google uk on iPhone and other gripes

since google recently launch their iPhone version I can no longer get google.co.uk. It takes me to google.com/m and if I click on classic it takes me to google.com. Very annoying.
Other gripes on the iphone in the UK is when typing email addresses - when I type .co.uk it gives me .do.I'm ridiculous having to cancel the auto suggestion every time ...

Got new computer--cannot get Google toolbar to show up tho have downloaded it several times.

Transferred Firefox and other programs to new computer; however, my Google toolbar (especially bookmarks of concern) did not transfer. I downloaded it again (more than once); it shows up on my Tools/Addo-ons as enabled but does not show up on the View/Toolbar section (never since new computer). I uninstalled and reinstalled, but no luck. What now?

How to uninstall a Yahoo-affiliated "Search Here" functionality from Firefox

I picked up a Yahoo Search functionality inside Firefox but there was no Yahoo toolbar. I ran Revo Uninstaller and there was no listing for Yahoo. I ran Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel but there was no listing for Yahoo. However, in my Programs File under My Computer there is a folder titled Yahoo.
Whenever I opened Firefox I would get a Yahoo Search page instead of Google. I did a bunch of searches for solutions and found that I needed to delete all of the search listings in the drop down list from clicking the gray arrow in the search box.
They were all in there – Google, Yahoo, Bing, Twitter, and an odd entry called “Search Here” I deleted everything except Google. Then I went to about:config and reset the Keyword URL to the Google entry it was supposed to be.
I thought everything was fine but all of this left me with some strange Search Here window next to the Firefox Tabs and the same Search Here entry in the drop down list previously changed.
If I perform a search from the search window next to the open tabs I get a Yahoo Search result:
If I perform a search from Google I get a Google result as I should.
Interestingly, the Search Here listing appears again automatically in the listing of search engines.

The add-on is called default tab in Add-ons manager. Remove that and it's gone. Finally. It's a clever and innocuous title. I went over it several times before I could figure it out.

Currently cannot get a dial up page when starting firefox to connect to my ISP

My old Firefox program crashed 3 days ago so i did 2 downloads and now i cannot connect to my isp directly from my Firefox icon. I can't get google in search window after upgrade to 9

I just upgraded to version 9 and now the search window (the one at top right) doesn't work at all. I used to have google there as default, and other engines available on drop-down menu. If I go to manage search engines, I'm taken to add-ons page with nothing like the search choices I used to have. Is this a bug, or is this function no longer available? If Firefox no longer supports this functionality, how do I revert to an earlier version without loosing bookmarks, settings, etc? Win xp SP3 on desktop.

Do you still see any default search engines in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)?
If not then do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

I cannot get google or bing to open, any ideas?

I had internet explorer and all of the sudden I could no longer open up google, bing or yahoo searches. The IT guy at work told me to down load firefox. Everything was fine for a few days and now I cannot open bing or google again. On the bottom of my screen it states waiting for either site, but after 5 minutes nothing happens. There is a google search box on my screen, this problem happens if I use it or type in www. google.com or www.bing.com. Any ideas? Thank you.

I cannot get google to show in anything but unreadable miniature on firefox

When I try to use Google over the past three months approx. it is reduced to a minute version which is unreadable and unusable, so I have to go to Internet Explorer of Chrome each time I wish to use it. Since it is my search engine of choice and I have a Google bar download into Firefox Mozilla I am finding this mega frustrating.

Why does my google toolbar not work properly with the new updates. It was such a convenience to use the old toolbar to go to places I had visited before. Now I cannot get those old addresses with anything but Firefox 3.62 or whatever.

Google have stopped supporting Google Toolbar on the latest versions of Firefox. Apparently one of the reasons for this decision is that modern browsers already tend to support many of the functions that google toolbar provides.
Firefox does allow you to specifically bookmark sites you have chosen, and also automatically remembers many of the sites you visit.

Getting Google Map search results to appear on Iphone

What I want is the to see the following google map link with all the included searches to show up on my iphone the same way it does on a computer. On my iphone if I click on the link, it takes me to google map but I lose all the associated searches. On a regular computer, it pin points all the different places I could go visit but I lose all that information on the iphone. This is the first really annoying bug I have run into.

I'm setting up a Google Map web app and I've just be told from live chat that the map will only ever display 500 items/listings/businesses and the others just don't show up.
Has anyone come across this issue and found a solution? There could be up to 2500 items that we want the ability to appear on the map at once.
This is your other issue (please keep same topic of discussion in the same thread, people can help you better) - you have a hard limit of web app item listing in BC before pagination. To show more you would have to look at other options such as ajaxing in other content fetched by knowing the pagination URL's etc.
But the better otpion is to consider 2500 items on a map is not good in the first place. Same with one big list. To much data. That is not good. Look to organise this better, can you split it up into regions, Classifying items to regions and outputting different lists etc.
