I cannot get into the iTunes store on my computer.  The last time I was able to do so was in February. The website doesn't help me. I authorized it on my Security Settings and it still doesn't work.

I need help configuring my computer for the iTunes store. What can I do?

You don't have the iPad connected to the computer with the cable while you are trying to download apps on the iPad do you?
I'm running out of ideas here. Try this, reboot your iPad and then try again. If you are connected to the computer, disconnect the iPad first.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    Have you paired your Apple Tv with your iTunes account?  That's how rentals and purchases are billed.  If, however, you have already done that it is possible that there is a glitch in the system.  I've had that happen occasionally and it usually goes away if I reset Apple Tv.  On one occasion that I didn't work so I had to go to iTunes and deauthorize and then authorize this computer.  Also, check to see if your Home Sharing is on (under File in iTunes).  Hope that helps.

    Thank you I tried the reset again did not fix- I think I am down to calling Apple and paying for a tech - phone company says it is a software problem.  I just updated to 8.1.3  - I thought the update might fix it.

    I'm having a similar problem.  I had previously (over a year ago) purchased 2 episodes of Law &amp; Order.  Then about 2 months ago, I purchased the 3rd season of Sons of Anarchy.  When I downloaded these episodes to my iPad, about a dozen full seasons of various shows popped up, too.  No money was removed from my iTunes account &amp; theses particular shows aren't in my iTunes library on my desktop.  I've tried every which way to delete them from my ipad, but can't.  I went to the Apple store &amp; they suggested I contact expresslane.apple.com for help.  I submitted my problem, via email Friday, as they asked, but have not received any response.  Any suggestions on how to get rid of these "phantoms?".

    When I try to go into iTunes on my Mac, it comes up with a window that says "The iTunes Library file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have written permission for this file.  When I click ok it disappears and I cannot get into my iTunes program.

    Information about contacts is contained in the backup of your phone, however, once you connect the new phone and restore the backup, you will still need to sync other data. Your contacts need to be in a supported application, such as Outlook 2003 or 2007 for Windows, Address Book for the Mac. If you go to sync that information however, you need to ensure you have a unique contact and unique calendar appointment to be prompted to merge.
    As far as photos are concerned, if you are talking about your photo album, that is contained in whatever folder you want on the computer and that has to be synced to the phone. Photos in your camera roll have to be imported to the computer and saved before you can get them back, however if you use the backup from your old phone, it should bring them over, but I would feel more comfortable if they had been imported to the computer in case something goes wrong.

    Try logging out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if the store's pages then show.
    If they don't then try closing the App Store app via the iPad's taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    If that doesn't fix it either then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your phone and re-download it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on it, or the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
    If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    You can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department at no charge using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find an "Email Us" button) and explain your problem to them.
