I cannot get my Ipod touch to work with my Orange Live Box

Hello!
Please help me - this is my second day of trying to resolve this!
I cannot get my Touch to connect to my Orange (Wanadoo) livebox. I have tried pressing '1' to allow the devices to pair. Doesnt help although the small antennae-like light does not flash on the live box (thought it should!). I have entered the 26 digit WEP key more times than I care to remember. I heard that I should change settings from WPA/WEP to WEP only but cant work out how to do this.
Very grateful for any assistance.

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
WEP can be cracked in a few minutes. Try switching to WPA which is mroe secure and isn't finiky about passwords like WEP is.

  • How do you get the iPod Touch to work with NIKE PLUS

I purchased an iPod Touch and according to target employee it was the latest generation. The one that worked with Nike Plus. However for two days now there is no icon no nothing that will start the lnink process. I plugged the connector and it gives me a message saying " This accessory is not supported by this ipod"
I realize the new ipod have a sensor built in.
    Noppie

I would double check on what generation you have. Do you have external, physical buttons to be used for volume control? If not, you have the first generation touch which will not work with Nike+. If this is the case, I'd recommend taking the iPod back to Target and requesting an exchange.

  • Having issues getting my ipod Touch to work with my Dodge Caravan

My car also has the port factory installed. Keep getting a message that it can't charge and that there is a communication error.
Any ideas how to fix this???

If you know your iPod is up to date, why come here looking for updates? Have you doubled check with the manufacturer yet?
Several users have reported problems plugging their iPods into the provided ports in their vehicles for some time now, but other than that their isn't much you can do except provide your feedback to Apple on this through the link below.

  • IPod Touch not working with Verizon fivespot modem

I cannot get my iPod Touch to work with my Verizon Fivespot hotspot. The hot spot shows up in the WAN settings, but when I try to reach the internet it says it is not available. The Touch works fine with my home hotspot. Any ideas?

Do other devices work with it? What says "not available"? Is it Safari when you try to connect to a website? If you go into the network settings what IP address is assigned to the iPod? Do wifif arc show on the upper left? Have you looked at the documentation for the Verizon product?

Try holding the Sleep/Wake + Home buttons down for AT LEAST 15 seconds. If that does not work, get it serviced. Sounds like a hardware issue--like battery, Sleep/Wake switch or logic board.

I cannot get my ipod touch or iphone to be recognized by Itunes on my mac mini. Only when i download itunes each time afresh, will it show up the first time. Then these devices will not be recognized subsequently. Is it because i am not uninstalling itunes before I download it? Surely this is a basic thing, ie that my devices need to recognize each other?

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    Chippy:
I'll assume you've read the iPod manual. The directions I have seem fairly straightforward - iPod connects to a wireless network when it discovers one. Or, if that option is turned off, you have to manually connect it.
When it comes to attaching to your router, you will need to know what kind of security the router is using, what the security password is and most important - the router's DHCP function must be activated so the iPod can acquire an IP address.
If the iPod truly can handle the connection, and you have the necessary information I mentioned, it should connect without a problem. But since you can't connect, you need to review the settings I mentioned.
It's possible there is some sort of issue with the router and the iPod. But it's my guess that the iPod is not acquiring an IP address because the router is not giving them out.
Check these things out and post what you find. If we can figure out the answer, your post will be helpful to others who may run into the same problem.
