I cannot get my itunes software to recognize any device when plugged in. I have several steps in the msconfig but still can't get it to recognize. I am running windows 7 and have the latest version of itunes installed.
We also have an ipod touch and my new ipad - which I have not attempted to sync yet until this issue is resolved.
Most USB port do not supply enough current to charge the iPad.

Quite frequently I'm keep getting the error like "Script is not responding....I dont have any Add-ons with my FireFox. After upgrade to the latest version 26.0 I'm keep getting Script error "chrome://global/content/binding/popup.xml:580" Stop or Continue Script.

How to know the latest version of SMO installed on my machine
I have different versions of SMO installed on my machine. Is there any method to know the latest version of SMO installed through program?I mean is there any API or something like that for the purpose?
For example, if the latest version of SMO is the SMO corresponding to SQL Server 2014, then i would like to receive the version something like "12.0.2000.8"
Any help would be greatly appreciated...If you're checking for an installed component, then the best bet is to check the uninstall registry key.
On my machine the key value for "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Management Objects (x64)" is this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{43A5C316-9521-49C3-B9B6-FCE5E1005DF0}
There may be a different key entry for the 32bit version if you need that, but this is the way I always did software install checks when I was an SCCM admin.
EDIT: As it seems that Microsoft change the uninstall key every version making it difficult to keep track of the installation this way, there is another key here which is probably a good one to check:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\SharedManagementObjects\CurrentVersion
You could check the value of this to see if it's greater than 11 and if not (or it doesn't exist) do your install. -

I usually upgrade Firefox within a couple of days when the new version is issued. Nevertheless, I can't seem to get it right. Although when I check "About Firefox" tab in the Help menu it says that my version is 9.0.1 (i.e. the latest version available) - still on the Firefox Update page I always get this annoying msg:

Get the free upgrade in less than a minute.''" And, I see that your "educated guess" about my browser recognises it as a 3.5.5 version (far being it from the truth!).
I don't believe that the fact that I'm still using Windows XP should have anything to do with this problem, but fyi - my OS is Win XP SP3, regularly updated and upgraded.
Also, even though I live in Croatia, I prefer my Firefox (and other programs) in English, so I use UK version of Firefox.
I do have some problems updating MS .Net Framework - could this be the issue with Firefox too?
Anyway, I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, even tried installing Croatian version - nothing helped.
As a result of this, I also have a problem with Gmail - I can only use standard, basic HTML view. Also annoying as hell.
Btw, as for "Installed plugins" - I'm not sure which of those are right, but I do not have Netscape installed, and never had one on this computer. I even ran the search for term "Netscape" and it came out empty.
There, I think I've provided as much information as I could think of - so, please help me to sort this out - if you can.

I have an ACER notebook running XP and a HP desk to running XP... both run the same version of Firefox... on the notebook when I'm in an email (MSN) and hit reply only a portion of my existing email will go to the new reply screen..... and when I try to scroll down it stops part of the way down and won't let me see the complete email, let alone add a reply at the bottom....
Yet my desk top works fine..... Help please.... [email protected]I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -
When I try to open some of my documents, the message "you need a newer version of Pages" appears; yet, I have installed the latest/newest version. How do I clear this up? Thanks.
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.01 can not open Pages 5.2 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5.2 files can not be opened in Pages 5.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 95 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

I do not have the Feedback box anymore. In the past when this happened it was because I didn't have the latest Beta, but today when I tried to download the latest I was told I already have it and am using it.
Do you still have the Feedback extension installed in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions ?

I don't see the plug-in container in the Windows Task manager since the last update of Firefox and now FF is freezing multiple times a day (since the previous update, before yesterday's). It takes several minutes after I see this until it unfreezes, and it's quicker to "end task" and re-start Firefox than wait. This most often seems to happen when the computer's been idle for awhile, rather than when I'm using it.
Make sure that you allow the plugin-container process in the firewall.

I keep getting the message when I open Muse CC, that the latest version is here and that i need to download it... But when i click "Download Latest Version" and it takes me to the applications manager it tell me that Muse is "Up to date"..... I also downloaded a template from Muse and it tells me when I open it that i also need the latest version... Can anyone explain why Iam getting this message and Why I can not up date?... I cannot watch videos after installing the latest version of adobe flash player for safari 6.1
Ive unistalled and reinstalled versions of adobe flashplayer to fix the problem, cleared computer of cookies, allowed plug ins, and tried various other options to get videos to work. So far it keeps telling me to install latest version of adobe when i already have. how do i fix this????

After installing the latest version of adobe flash player, my internet won't work properly.
I'm not sure if anyone can help, but you might know of where or who else I can ask. I have Mac 10.4.11 and yesterday my internet was working fine. My computer had just performed an automatic firefox update, as is usual. When firefox restarted it suggested that I update my adobe flash player, which I was pretty sure could use an update. So I did. I downloaded and installed the latest version. SINCE then my internet has been doing strange things. It often acts like I've lost my internet connection - I open a new tab or type a new address into the browser and it won't do anything or go anywhere. It doesn't tell me that I've lost my internet connection. It's like something's blocking it because it doesn't even attempt to load the new page or website. And I know that I haven't lost my internet connection. I have to quit firefox completely, and then re-open it for it to work, and even then it will only work for a few minutes at the most. I have no idea what's going on or how to fix it.

I have one computer with Windows 7 and an older version of Firefox, not sure exactly which one. I have never had a problem with saving passwords on it. I now have a new computer with Windows 8.1 and the latest version of Firefox, installed 5.29.14, and it is only randomly saving passwords. All the sites I've tried are ones that permit this, and I was able to save them on Explorer. I've checked my settings and save password is enabled--it seems Firefox is being selective about what it will save passwords for. Is this something new or is there a way to change it so it the box will always pop up asking me to if I want to save a password? Thanks for any help!
I appreciate your help but I am not a very expert computer user. I have checked that I am permitting passwords to be saved and it does work on some sites. I don't know how to do the first two things you mentioned

I found a bookmarklet on the page above but I don't know how one applies them.
What baffles me is why I've never experienced this issue with Windows 7 and the version of Firefox I am using on it. It works just fine on the Aetna site and all the others I'm having this problem wit Do you think it may be a Windows 8.1 issue? Or something with the new version of Firefox? As I said, I've got Win7 and an older version of Firefox that I use with it. I'm reluctant to update to a newer version of Firefox on my old computer in case that is the problem.
