I am going to asume that you have a MBP 13" Mid 2012 as you have in your profile.
First check if you computer is updateing the spotlight. Second. Make sure the Icloud acount is activated. (using your apple id and password). Once that is working, and all of these are made, repair permitions and wait be sure all programs are close. Reset the computer.
Once that is done. Go to system preferences, Select Security and Privacy. Then select privacy and see if maps is seleccted in location services. In order to change that unlock the lock and add the password fom you computer.
If that is check, we can see what we can do next. Also make sure that diagnostic & usage is selected, so all these info be send to apple for making these better.
One step at a time.
I work 2 instalacion. One clean install and 1 upgrade. The clean isntall has being perfect so far. I only find 2 errors so far and i am working on those right now.

Took my ipad to Apple store due to a software problem which was fixed by doing a reset. I then restored and backed up/sync'd my ipad in ITunes and iCloud. Now I can't get my gmail account to work on my iPad. It won't send or receive emails and I keep getting the message that my user name or password are incorrect, which I know they are not. Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Cannot get exchange mail account to work

I am a very persistent person. I don't give up easily. But I just can't get my exchange account to work on iphone. After trying way too many times, I've tried to get it set it up on the Apple Mail program so that I can then sync the mail account to the iphone through itunes. I've only been able to get the incoming mail working on Mail. I've tried so many different permutations and combinations, but I cannot get the outgoing mail to work.
I know that imap is set up. And I can access my mail account through Entourage... perfectly.
Why can't I get it to work on Mail???? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated? Any settings to check on the exchange server so that I can get it to set up properly. Please. I am about at my wit's end. And I won't give up!!!!

I have checked with my ISP and all my settings are correct for them, but nothing will send or receive in Leopard, though they work just fine on my G4 running Tiger. I am about to delete them all and start over. Sometimes even the .mac doesnt work...any ideas?

Ok, I briefly saw a post following mine saying that my assertion was hilarious, and if I felt that OSX 10.5 were such a lemon I should call the powers that be and lambaste them. For those who say you cannot send from a different server while showing the initial email address, e.g. [email protected] sending...then failing, then being asked if I would like to send from smtp.mac.com: [email protected], I would ask you to look at the general tab on email preferences which offers a pull down with the heading "If outgoing server is unavailable: 2 choices; Show a List of Alternate Servers or Automatically try sending later. I have done this, and the maio has ahown up on my other computer under the original address I sent from. I am sorry if I am a buffoon for noting this, but it has happened in testing 5 times today.

I have a total of 5 macs from and 840 AV, an 8500, an Aqua (I guess) G3, an old Graphite G4 500mhz as armed to the teeth as can be, and of course my 1.66 duo Mini, heck I have an Ipod Nano....I have my Apple chops, I was just hoping there had been a similar experience to bounce the question off of (not wishing mail probs for anyone) before calling My Apple.

Settings\iCloud - Account is your Apple ID appearing here and is the place for your password full of stars. The password needs to be the password for the email account - not your Apple password.
Once you have checked this go to Icloud main page and ensure mail is on.
Go to home screen and tap on Mail App - check that you can access your mail and your .me.com email account.
The check settings\General\Restrictions and ensure facetime is On if restrictions is enabled - alternatively turn restrictions off if you wish.
Both services you require run through the cloud and need an active .me.com account to set up initially. the default account can be changed from your @me.com later if you prefer.
Also note that once iMessage is active - go to settings\iMessage and ensure your Apple id main email is listed in the Receive at Field.

I figured it out! Settings>Suddenlink email>outgoing mail server>SMTP>tap on primary server>turn off Use SSL>change Server Port to 587

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again.
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

Hi. If the speakers are using a standard 3.5mm plug, they need to be plugged into the headphone jack. Please clarify which jack you are using.

Hi Pat,
I usually don’t have trouble explaining my problems, but this one is confusing the heck out of me. I just downloaded Reader 11. It is installed, I believe. This is the first time Reader has not worked for me after upgrading to a newer version. I’ve been reading PDF files forever, but tonight when I went to read a pdf file that I received today, I clicked on the file, expecting Reader to open up and it never did. Then I tried to read some older pdf files and nothing happened when I tried to open the file. I’ve been using Acrobat Reader for years so that’s why I’m so confused.
I downloaded the file from the adobe.com website. and everything seemed to be fine. My question is indeed vague, but I don’t know any other way to explain what happened. Should I uninstall and start over??
