    plz help

If you downloaded the correct version for your iPad model (and the different models have different ipsw files), then you should be able to navigate to it in iTunes by pressing and holding the shift key on Windows (command key on Mac) when clicking the Check For Updates button.

    Hi gnaksung,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It seems like you're trying to update iTunes 10 on your Mac, but the update options are not working.
You may find the troubleshooting tips and download method in this article helpful with updating iTunes:

If you're currently using OS X 10.6.8, see this link for the iTunes 11.4 download, which is the latest version that can be installed:

  • Cannot get itunes to update to 10.5 using xp media edition?

cannot get itunes to update to 10.5 using xp media edition?

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes for Windows forums.
    Regards.

  • I cannot get mail to update on my desktop

I cannot get 'mail' to update on my desktop...is there a firewall up somewhere...my other mac is fine

You can forcer quit the application
    >Force quit
This would be preferred.  If you have to force quit the the entire OS- press the power button for a extended period until it forces a immediate shut down.

  • I cannot get Itunes to update my IPod.  I am at a loss

I am a seasoned IPod user. I just transitioned to a new PC and cannot get Itunes to update my Nano IPod. I have downloaded new versions of ITunes and updated my IPod software. ITunes sees the IPod but does not transfer any songs or playlists---help

What the user before me is trying to say pretty quickly is, Be sure that the settings in iTunes are set to update your iPod.
    1) Plug in your ipod
    2) Click the button with the ipod on it, about fourth from the right at the bottom (bottom right corner)
    3) Manual (choice 3) is probably selected, Select automatically update all songs instead (choice 1).
Does this help? If not, let me know.

  • An update for numbers was shown for my macbook pro, however even though this has been done I cannot open numbers without updating and when you try to update again it advises you that this is already done so we go round in circles getting nowhere, any idea

`   I cannot open numbers as it requires and update, and the update has taken place yet it still maintains that an update is required and when you look to iupdate it advises you that you have already updated so we go around the circle and get nowhere.  Help please.

    Hi renrut,
Do not delete the old version of Numbers (Numbers 2.3, Numbers'09). It has features that the new Numbers has lost (in particular, Print View).
Numbers '09 has been moved to a folder called iWork '09 inside your Applications folder. The icon on your Dock continues to point to Numbers '09. Launching Numbers from that icon is why you get the "Update" message. Numbers 2.3 is trying to open a Numbers 3 document.
The new version of Numbers (Numbers 3.2 is the latest version) lives in your Applications folder (not a sub folder). Drag that icon to your Dock. It will become an Alias. Right click (or control click) on it and Options > Keep In Dock. Now you can chose which version to run.
Numbers 2 on the left (three columns)
Numbers 3 on the right (four columns).
Both versions will run happily side by side. Just be sure which version you use to open a Numbers document. If Numbers 3 tries to "steal" a Numbers 2 document, you will get a warning when you start to edit:
Edit a Copy will preserve your Numbers 2 document and create a Numbers 3 copy. Cancel will get you out. Upgrade will convert your Numbers 2 document to a Numbers 3 document.
If all else fails, you can do Menu > File > Export To > Numbers '09 to revert.
Do not delete Numbers '09 (or Numbers '08) from your machine! You will need them.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • Cannot get mail after updating to 10.8.3

After updating to OS X 10.8.3 I cannot get e-mail any more with Mail. I can send e-mail though. If I log in to the web interface I can see my new email waiting on the server. Is there any workaround to fix it?

It is fixed from the time I signed in to the iCloud. (?) Can someone from Apple explain it?
Thanks to sanjayfromtoronto for his help!

  • Spent 3 hrs with apple yesterday. Restored and backed up. And still cannot get Apps or Updates. Any suggestions?

Can't get Apps or Updates to my iPhone 4.  IOS 7.1. Had no problems until about a month ago. Have Dell laptop with windows vista. 3hrs with Apple yesterday with no solution.  Today the phone won't ring. Hellp !

You say you spent 3 hours with Apple. Was this on the phone? What did they say? You say you restored. Did you restore as new, or from a backup? If you restored as new, did you test it and then restore a backup? What other troubleshooting steps have you tried?

  • I have an IPod touch model MB528C and cannot get it to update past 4.2.1 operating system. Is that as high as it will update for operating system.

I have an iPod touch model MB528C and I can't get it to update. It has version 4.2.1 on it now, is this the most recent update it will accept.

You spend a lot of money and before you know it, your device is "antiquated"....NEVER,NEVER, NEVER WILL I HAVE AN APPLE PRODUCT AGAIN. APPLE JUST PLAIN STINKS!!!...Not to mention they are getting rich all the sweat of third world countries. Anlyone with a social conscience should boycott Apple!

    This is completely normal.

  • I cannot get applications to update using Adobe Application Manager

One or two of the 9 applications needing updates successfully updated. The others fail after multiple attempts. About a year ago I was given instructions to remove the application manager nd download it again, but I have lost those instructions.
There was an Adobe tool used to remove the manager correctly and reinstall it, but I cannot find it.
If someone from Adobe is monitoring, perhaps he/she can help?

I just went through a most vexing chat session with Adobe support to try to resolve this issue. I had to ask for the support rep to follow case escalation procedures because the rep kept contradicting him/herself and created much confusion.
I am reconsidering membership renewal for Creative Cloud after this experience with support. I could not obtain a straight answer about issues with CS6 apps needing bug fixes and whether or not AAM is still necessary if running CS6 apps. Nor could I get an answer as to why the 9 apps that needed bug fixes miraculously show up in the new CC Desktop App as status "Up to Date". The updates failed every time I tried using the AAM, all we did was clean up some files by hand and reinstall the CC Desktop App. We made no updates to individual apps, yet they show "Up to Date" status.
If anyone else has experienced this and has a coherrent explanation then they are way ahead of Adobe support. I'd like to hear from you.
