I cannot get rid of a tab/website even after removing/reinstalling Firefox

I have a tab/website that I cannot close. Every time I try, I receive a large window that states "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? PRESS ESCAPE OR CLOSE THIS ALERT", then the site remains. I removed Firefow from my computer. Then went to the Firefox web site, re-installed Firefox and the same website/tab in still there.
What is happening here?

You can leave one tab extra open and middle-click the problem tab to close that tab. 
Firefox doesn't display a close button on the last tab, so you need to close that problem tab while other tabs are still open.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and any existing files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js to prevent Firefox from restoring the last session.

Set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes] to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

I cannot get Photoshop CC to Sync? Even after 14.1.1 Update?

Just as the title says, I cannot get Photoshop CC to sync settings even after the 14.1.1 update which I thought was supposed to address the issue. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop CC on both computers multiple times and it is still not working. How do I get rid of two tabs opening when I first open Firefox?

When I first open Firefox I get my home page in one tab but another tab opens also. That one is set for Facebook. How do I get rid of the automatically opening second tab?

Cannot get rid of a tab in Access Manager

I am trying to remove the "Federation" tab in the Access manager. I modified the amAdminConsole.xml file by commenting out the tab, as shown below, but it still does not go away. Any ideas on what I should be doing?
I also tried removing the tab through the admin console's Service Configuration and going to the field Administrative Console Tabs which has a list of the four tabs. That did not remove the tab - maybe I am not doing it right?

Modifying the xml file does not do the job. These service-descriptions are loaded into Directory Server AM searches for services. AM look into the DS to find the services.
Edit the tabs by modifiying the administration service using amconsole.

A "window ' appears on desktop stating "Expresssettings" and I cannot get rid of it wvwn though I haven't opened Firefox

When i "awaken" the computer, a small "window' appears that shows the Fire fox logo and is headed "express settings'. Where the space for entering any choices are to be made, it is all black and I cannot "X" it out or close tha the window.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Opening in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website. 
You can check the Properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Cmd+B on Mac). 
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right. 
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

IF you know the exact file name of the download, you can search for it in the spotlight.
(This icon) in the upper right corner.
If you don't know the exact file name, you may have to redownload it so you can see it.
I would also try doing a reboot after you change your desktop background to what you want.

Did you create a new account or did you update your existing account with a new email address ? You can tap on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stpre and sign out of it and you can then sign with the new/updated account.
If you did create a new account then your existing content will remain tied to your old account, so only that old account will be able to redownload that content and/or download updates to its apps. If you can't remember the password for it then you can try getting it reset via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
