I cannot get rid of the history in my address bar.
Whenever I click the down arrow on the address bar a list of sites appears. I can not delete them. If I try hovering my mouse over them and pressing delete on the keyboard they come back the next time I hit the down arrow. They also won't go away when I clear history.
The same problem has been dogging me for a couple of months and I think I may have the solution. The address bar auto-complete includes addresses from you bookmarks. If the one you delete is there because it was bookmarked at some time in the past, you won't be able to delete it from the address bar directly. Go to Bookmarks/Organize and search for the offending site address. Edit it or delete it from there and it should fix the problem. It may be in the "Most Visited" section of the bookmarks.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test. -

On my Iphone I have 1-Camera roll, two Photo Libraries, and 1 delete. I cannot get rid of the Photo albums off the phone. I cannot take things off my Iphone using the itunes because it doesn't pull the Iphone up.

Its actually the spinning ball of cool your jets while I am doing something -- Apple used to use a picture of a wrist watch - which was a better way of saying it.
I get the beach ball when starting up Photoshop - and in same when going into functions that are in VM or not open because I don't use them that much.
Other than that - you haven't stated what the problem is. -
I have Start my search start as soon as I open Firefox. I ran malwarebytes to get rid of unwanted programs, and this cleared this particularly annoying bar from starting in all browsers except Firefox (the browser I use most!). I reset MSN as my homepage, and set my homepage to open when I start Firefox. Guess what? When I open Firefox, Start my search opens! MSN is still my home page, but despite followong all the instructions from Start my search I CANNOT get rid of it. Can anyone help please!

How do I get rid of the history search section on the left of my screen?
All of a sudden there is a section on the left side of my Firefox online screen that has:

I don't know how it got there, I've tried disabling plug-ins, personalizing tool bar, etc., and can't get rid of it. If I place my cursor on the line that separates this section from the regular Firefox screen, an arrow appears as if I could drag the right part of the screen to the left and "cover up" this search section, but the drag won't work.Thank you, thank you, thank you! I signed up for a trial subscription to Carbonite. That trial expired some time back, but it has become the biggest nuisance of all, with advertisements and fear tactics popping up when I start up and anytime I leave the computer for a few minutes. How do I get rid of this pop up? I thought I was protected from this kind of thing. Thank you for your assistance.
Hey there, I assume that the trial has expired and it's giving you messages because it hasn't been uninstalled yet.
First I would check to see if you have any Carbonite programs still installed. You can check by going to Control Panel -> Uninstall a Program.
You can also check your Firefox add-on locations as it may still be installed as an add-on.

I went to Blingee and for some reason, ever since, Search Canvas has become my default search engine on Firefox only. I uninstalled the Blingee toolbar. I have search my computer for "Blingee" and "Search Canvas" and there is nothing to uninstall.
After months, I think I figured it out...
I was frustrated because I like to use the url bar as my search engine, which is not fixed using the link posted by jadeye.
Try this...
* In your address bar, type in: “about:config”
* Inside of the filter search box, type in: browser.search.defaulturl
* ctrl click and choose “Modify”
* Type in: http://www.google.com/search?lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=

Unless you are a new computer user you may consider doing the above in a different order, and even avoiding the Reset Firefox step.

Cannot get rid of the horizontal lines (field order or interlacing?)...
OK- I have footage which is 25fps DV Pal 720/576 (was shot on tape, 4:3 letterboxed), lower field/even which I am editing into a short 25 second sequence which needs to be 16:9 (as my final project will be that, and this footage/sequence is the only 4:3 one in the ten to be used).
The current sequence I have worked in is showing up as 25fps DVCPRO Pal 1280/720 also lower field/even and it is working OK (NO idea how!) except for the clips I am shrinking for a multiple screen section- they are shrunk to 45% and quite interlaced looking- meaning that I am seeing quite bad horizontal lines even in the playing back of the sequence, before export.
Notably one clip is FINE- it is different in that it has been "grown" to 180% because of the fact that it was 4:3 letterboxed and I needed it to appear 16:9. I see no interlacing/field order issue...
What do I need to do in order to "fix" this now that I have a gorgeous sequence and cannot export it to look like anything decent?
I feel I do NOT understand the settings I should set up for capture, working and export- I am just stabbing in the dark here. I guess a problem I have is that while I learn super fast when shown to do something I don't make the connection when reading manuals well. In other words- if it is not a response to an issue I have I cannot tell that it is the answer I seek. I am so despondent.
Ideally I would need to be able to fix the mess as the work I have done is long and hard (I am not really a bad editor- creative but clueless when it comes to setting things up right, it would seem!). OK- the issue will be one most students creating showreels will encountering as we don't tend to shoot ideal footage, on different cameras we don't "know", and certainly don't have a say about how it is ingested. So it is a case of doing the best we can with what we have.
I ended up dealing with it by using Compressor to "reconform" the footage I was using and to also use a 30%/45% scale-down of each of them and made a multi-clip collage of the material. The "problems" are almost lost in the scaling down, so I am OK with it.
Of course there is still the problem that if I move from the college's Avid system to my home set up of Final Cut Pro I get very annoying issues also with the Avid's exports (QT6) showing up as 5:4 instead of the 16:9 it was exported as! -

Yes the Microsoft Office 2007 features worked but the updater part did not worked and caused other issues with other operating system software.
If you do want to try it on your computer before contacting Microsoft technical support you can. Things you need to check is status of your Antivirus software make sure it is receiving and installing updates. Check your firewall status make sure changes did not occur. Check your Windows updater history making sure Microsoft Office 2007 updates were successfull. I do not know if it was just my Microsoft Office 2007 disk copy was the issue or if it was just not capabilities. Microsoft Technician never told me. After working a month with them. I cannot get rid of the permissions box when using flash player in firefox

I have explored on the web about this problem. When attempting to use flash player in firefox, I cannot click on the allow button to allow my video camera and microphone to be used on sites. I CAN go to Global settings and allow the sites by putting their URL, but this makes no difference, the little permissions box keeps appearing and won't go away.
Anyone know what else to try if changing global setting permissions doesn't work?
BarryThis sounds like a bug. The direction that we're heading is to have the browsers present these permission dialogs, and to eliminate them from Flash completely. It is unlikely these native dialogs will support an "always allow" or "remember" option.
If you're not able to click the button in the dialog when it's displayed, that's problematic. We have a couple things in the pipeline to make the dialog bigger. Usually those problems are resolution specific, although if there's moving video behind the dialog, that can trip our security controls. We do a bunch of checks to ensure that the dialog you're clicking isn't obscured by something else, so that we're sure you know that you're clicking and approve button.
There is an improvement in the pipeline to make these dialogs bigger. They were originally designed for 640x480 screens (they've been around *that* long), and they're way too small on modern high-density displays.
Anyway, you're welcome to file a bug at http://bugbase.adobe.com/. Please be sure to include a link to the problem content, and the configuration you're using (OS and browser version, and screen resolution would be particularly useful -- these are often resolution-dependent issues).
