I cannot hear my calls (incoming and outgoing)

I have a Driod X and I am unable to hear any of my incoming or outgoing calls. I have tried calling several people and cannot hear anything. All my alerts work......ringtones, vibrate, alarms, etc.... I have tried putting the call on speakerphone and I am still unable to hear anything.

Being able to hear the other party on your phone is pretty important! I'm sorry you're having this issue in the first place. I will be more than happy to provide some suggestions.
First, I would recommend removing and resinserting the battery for 10 seconds while the phone is on. Power it back on and dial *228-call and choose option 1.
If the issue persists I would put your phone in Safe Mode:

This will help determine if it's a 3rd Party application causing the issue. Test while in safe mode and if it still happens I would have to recommend a Hard Reset:

A friend of mine has an application on his Nokia mobile that allows him to record all incoming and outgoing calls, this is useful to allow the review of conversations to make sure you get what has been requested correct, I receive numerous calls during the day from customers and this would make sure my memory has got things right.

Usage- Calls Incoming and Outgoing

I recently noticed several calls on my usage history showing as 9999999. These calls did not come in as private, blocked or restricted. In fact the number came through very clearly on my phone. What worries me about this is I have a teenage daughter and I need to be able to monitor her calls. I noticed several 99999999 numbers on her usage history as well. When we sat down to compare them to her phone call history none of these calls where not private, blocked or restricted.
What can we do to get accurate usage history?

If you are looking at unbilled usage it could be that the information has not completely updated or there was not enough info relayed from the towers to give the phone #

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, resest, restore from backup, restore as new.
If you still have problems after going through ALL the recommended troubleshooting steps, then you likely have a hardware issue. You'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

I cannot hear telephone calls unless speaker is on

I just replaced the glass on my iphone as it had smashed but as soon as I got the phone back I was not able to hear telephone calls (incoming or outgoing) unless I put the speaker on....and the volume is still pretty low even though the volume settings are high. May be a coincidence but Ive never had that problem before.

I am having the exact same problem starting today. I took your advice about inserting the headphone jack and the thing about the speakers, no luck. I reset all the settings, turned it off/on, still doesn't work. If I plug the accessory jack into it, I can hear through my car's speakers, but I can't hear anything from the phone unless it's turned on speakerphone. Frustrating!

Clear the receiver
The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
Follow these steps, testing after each:
- Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
- Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
- While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
Restart and update
1. Restart your iPhone and test again.
2. If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

SIP trunk incoming and outgoing calls issue

Hi Everyone,
We recently installad a SIP trunk and terminated on CUBE and CUCM but we have issues on incoming and outgoing calls, When someone dial in from outside he keeps listening the dailing ring even after we pick up the phone and at the end the callers time exipres and call gets disconnected.
For Dailing out, the dialed number rings and caller hear the dailing ring as well but if someone pick the phone it apprears that call is connected but no audio in it, dead air.
Our call flow is as
IP Phones => CUCM --->SIPTRUNK--->CUBE=>SIPTRUNK=>SP
I have attached the config for CUBE and debug ccsip messages output for both incoming and outgoing calls.

Cannot hear voice on incoming calls

Hi guys,
Hope someone can help me. All of a sudden I cannot hear voices on incoming calls. I hear voices on outgoing calls perfectly fine. My phone did not fall or anything like that.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
You may also want to try performing the following.
Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Smart Connect > Clear Data
Once done try using the handset.

As far as I know there is no app to record phonecalls because US regulations, but I am not using iphone in US so we definately need call recorder. HTC or Samsung has call recorder so why we dont?
