I cannot homeshare and lost all my music, amongst other issues
Firstly I have a new laptop, and when I tried homesharing it would not let me sync to my new library unless I erased and synced purchases. As a result, I lost most of my music. Also, I have bought a film and a series from the itunes store, but only half the series seems to have downloaded and there is a weird blue dot on the left of half the series and the film, niether the film or series will sync to my ipod, so it appears that I have lost my money if it won't work :\ Any help ?
You said:
I had a song list of 272.
Where were the songs? On iPod
they re-fused to work.
What do you mean by work?
iTunes said it had all my songs,
iTunes on the computer? Had them where?
Had you previously synced from this iTunes library before?
Which method of syncing did you use? Auto or manual?

Mountain lion crash when opening logic photobooth and lost all my music in itunes.
Why are apple apps crashing in Mountain Lion. Logic, Photobooth, iphoto and lost all my music in Itunes?
you might need to reinstall ML from the Recovery Partition.
To get to the recovery partition restart your computer, hold CMD+R down when you hear the boot up chime. Open Disk Utility first (verify your boot disk and repair if needed) and then close it and reinstall ML. -

I changed my apple id and lost all my music...
i have changed my apple id and lost all my music other than about 20 songs...i had about 700
Did you "change your Apple ID" using this process?
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621
If not, you might mean you created a new Apple ID to start using instead of your old one. In that case, your old Apple ID owns all the music, and your new one does not. -

I disconnected my ipod before ejecting, and lost all my music. HELP!
I disconnected my ipod while it said do not disconnect, and now all my music and movies are gone, but my pictures are still there. I have reset the ipod several times, and tried to connect to itunes. I am getting an error box from itunes saying "ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" Is there anything I can do? a lot of my music is from other people, and I will not be able to get it back if it's really gone. PLEASE HELP ME!
Do you sync with iTunes? If you do, all of your purchased content should be in your iTunes library, so sync with iTunes again in order to recover your books and music.
If you don't sync with iTunes and you only use iCloud, go to the purchased tabs in iTunes and the iBooks app and download all of your music and books again. You will not be charged again as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought the books and music with originally. -
I lost the music on my pc when I had to reformat the disk. Is there any way to transfer the music from the Ipod to the pc? I am told that if I try to sync the music that it will erase all the music on my Ipod.
Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Transfer other music by using a third-party programlike one of those discussed here:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities

Itunes match renewed and lost all my music
My itunes subscription automatically renewed on 10/6/13 and I have a reciept for the transaction. Now all my music is missing. This is really ******* me off. I have so much music it will take forever to get it all back on my computer and then into the cloud. Does anyone have suggestions on how to find my music in the could again? Yes, I have itunes match turned on.
Have you done a search of your hard drive to make sure the purchases are actually gone and haven't just been erased from the iTunes library database? iTunes Music Store: Finding missing music and video downloads
If they are completely gone, if you have an iPod that still has any of your purchases on it you'll find details in this article on how to transfer them to the computer: iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Failing this, you could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. The official policy on music/media purchases is that you only get one download and it's up to you to maintain a backup against loss: iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
If you click on this link it'll take you to the support/contact page, from there click on Music Purchases then the Lost or Missing Items option, from there click on "Email Us": Customer Service - iTunes Store Support

Hey, I haven't had a computer for a few months so I hooked up to another computer to get updates and while syncing on itunes I lost all of my music files. I can't find them on the computer or ipod. Anybody know if I can get them back?
If the music was loaded from CDs then unfortunately not, unless you have access to the old computer or the CDs themselves.
If the music was purchased from iTunes and your iPod is running the current version of the software then you can go into the iTunes app on the iPod and there is a purchased section where you can re-download music you have already purchased at no cost. -
I need help, I couldnt get into my iphone because I forgot the password and I couldnt hook my iphone up to the computer with all my music on it. So im wondering how to redownload that music from another computer that had already had someone elses account programed into it. I can almost get my purchased music but it says im not authorized. I DONT KNOW WHAT to do
If your music was purcansed from the iTunes Store and your country allow is you can redownload it
Login to itunes as yourself on this computer then

You will also need to authorise that computer so you can play the content.
Ctrl B to turn on the top menu
Store > Authorise this Computer...

Ps i dont want some smart arse person being rude eitherYou're not making a lot of sense...
Did you update over the air or using iTunes on your computer?
Music is not part of the iPhone backup. The music should already be in the iTunes library on your computer. Music purchased from the iTunes store can be re-downloaded without charge using the Apple ID used to purchase it originally.
Photos in the camera roll should be part of the backup. How you recover them depends on how you were backing up and how you performed the update. -
Computer crash and lost all my music, can I get it back?
I still have all my music on my Ipod but my question is if I reinstall Itunes will I be able to import my music from my Ipod back onto the new Itunes?
HELP.What you do now is import your music from your backup CD's, DVD's and external hard drives. If you have failed to adequately provide backups of your digital music collection than you are in trouble. Good luck. I hope you have most of your music still available on the original audio cds. How much music do you have?
-
I really need this fixed its driving me crazy. I wish iTunes had a way of taking all the songs from the iPod and just downloading them to the itunes without having to delete all that is on there. I really want my Purchesed Items back. I wasted probably over 100$ on this....
Okay, doing my best to ignore the EXTREMELY annoying font you chose to use.
Is there a reason why you did not create a backup of your media and other important files before switching from Vista?
It is the users responsibility to back up their media, it is NOT Apple's responsibility.
When you purchase CD's or DVD's, if you lose them, you repurchase them. Same deal with digital media.
If you have a backup of your media, simply copy the files from the backup to your computer.
If you still have access to your old computer, simply copy the files from it to your new computer.
