I cannot install firefox, i just keep getting a message to restart my computer over and over again & I MISS my firefox!
I tried to upgrade to Firefox 4 and after downloading, I got this message: "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?"
I reboot and try to start Firefox and get this message: "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?"
No matter what I do, I keep getting that same message. Please read this email carefully and help me to get Firefox working as I destest using MS Internet Explorer!

And if I try to uninstall Firefox 4 to go back to my previous version I get the same message: "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?"
If I reboot, nothing has changed and I go round and round and round....
Try to run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).
If that doesn't solve the problem then remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

To recover your old Firefox settings folder (profile folder), try using a utility like Piriform's Recuva:

That needs to run ASAP before deleted files are overwritten.
The folder you're looking for would have had a semi-random name, but be located here:

Just to double check,
1: you are hold c or option/alt key booted from the 10.6 disk that came with your machine
2: you are in Disk Utility and you have selected the drive makers name and disk size on the left
3: you attempt to click Partition tab, click on the big box, select 1 partition, select option: GUID and format OS X exteneded Journaled and it reports "can't unmount disk"
4: you do have no other drives connected to the machine
If that's all true, then you need to quit Disk Utility and use Terminal and try to force unmount the disk

Every time I try to download the new version it just says I can not download the new version of Firefox. I keep getting a message that says "Firefox 5.0.1dmg could not be opened, because an unknown error occurred - Try saving to disk first and then opening the file"
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Install the new version that you have downloaded

Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences. If it shows that Time Machine is ON, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner, if necessary, to unlock it. I keep getting a message that says my computer is associated with an APPLE ID?? That I can download previous purchases again in 82 days with a different ID? I don't understand why it wont allow me to download previous purchases?? I never had this problem before the 10.5 update. I have emailed their help panel numerious times and they never do anything that remedies the problem?? I only have one computer and one ID I just dont understand what the problem is. I have a couple of articles that should be able to help you troubleshoot this issue a little further. You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes first. This has to be done in a specific manner, and this article can help you do that:

Back up your iPhoto library before you do that.
If iPhoto is open, quit it.
Hold down the Option and Command keys while you open iPhoto (click the iPhoto icon in the Dock).
The Photo Library First Aid window opens.
Click "Rebuild database" and click the "rebuild" button.
