If so, are you getting an error message when you try to install iTunes? If so, what does it say? (Precise text, please.)

This afternoon I was used my iPhone 3G. I then put it aside (it was left on) for about an hour. When I went to use it again, nothing happens. The home button will not call up the lock screen. The lock button will not turn the phone on, off, or lock it. When I plug it into iTunes, it recognizes it to sync. Also if someone tries to call me it will ring on their end, but nothing on my end.
The iPhone is over two years old (purchased in April 2009), so it is out of warranty. Also, everything is up to date on the iPhone.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

ShannonWhat iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. -
My iPad2 has repeatedly refused to update to iOS7, whether connected to a PC or not. The error message indicates an unknown error has occurred, with error code 6. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how to solve it? Many thanks.

I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.

I have never had any issues going to the iTunes store from my account. Now, all of a sudden, it just says it's loading but never does. Not sure what's going on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Whenever I am listening to itunes on my iphone and plug it in to my USB in my car radio, the song stops and instead the first alphabetical song is played. It also does this when it's been plugged in the car, and then I remove it, and it reverts back to the first alphabetical song. This has only happened after I updated my phone. Does anyone have any ideas?!
I appreciate the commentary response but I'm not sure how this resolved my problem. The car was made before the iPhone coming out. By this fact, it would seem as if Apple has not made the product to compliment cars made before it.

I've purchased an album through the itunes store and every track plays except one which continually asks me to authorise my computer. I've tried all the steps suggested above but still no joy. Anyone have any ideas what i can do next? Thanks Paul
Sounds like you have a "damaged track" or "damaged file".
This worked for me today downloading Kendrick Lamar's new Album "good kid, m.A.A.d city".
My situation: I bought the album today for my Mac, MacBook Pro, iPad 2, and iPhone 4S devices.
Issue: One song (only on my MacBook Pro) would not play, instead display "
EX: left"
Solution: 1. Manually delete the song (giving you the error) permantly from the authorized computer.
2. Open iTunes, Click iTunes Store (left sidebar), and locate Quick Links and then click Purchased to proceed.
3. Click "Not On This Computer", find the song that wouldn't play, and re-download it again.
4. Check your Music Library for your song (Should download inside the associated album) and hit play.
EX: (Song I purchased that wouldn't play because of authorization, playing)

I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. It is the 2014 release of adobe illustrator. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button.
I start a new document. Then I place my scanned pencil/colored pencil drawing, in to the document. I have tried scanning and then placing it as a jpeg, bitmap, and tiff file. I have tried scanning and then placing it, in color and in black and white. The scan mode I use is flatbed. Adobe illustrator allows me to select the default button and one of eleven preset buttons (e.g high fidelity photo), but it does not allow me to click the custom trace button. The custom trace button is grey while all the other buttons are white.
Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?It seems pointless to adjust it afterwards because it is then only a couple a pencil lines rather then a full drawing. And how do I adjust it afterwards? Would I do this using the different buttons under the window button?

I have tried 6 times to download itunes on my 64bit lap top. I keep getting error messages, and I have disabled the pop up blockers still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you trying to print from iPhoto on your Mac or iPad/iPhone? If you are trying to print form yor Mac, check, if the Print Products Store in the iPhoto Preferences > Advanced is set to U.K.
Also the bimmling address, Delivery address, the country for your AppleID and Credit Card must all be in the same country. Check this document:

some excel items have appeared on my desktop and they cannot be deleted, does anyone have any idea on this?
Hi, cannot drag to trash, get a message saying the item cant be moved to trash because it cant be deleted. I really dont know what theses are. The icon shows as excel but they are certainly not filenames I have used. I cant open them either and they dont show in finder under desktop but they are clearly sitting there!

Have you authorized the Computer to your Apple ID?
If not, sign on to iTunes.
Then got to the Store menu option at the top of the screen (CTL+B if it is not showing), and click on it to display the dropdown, and select Authorize this computer.
If that doesn't work, then sign on your Dad's iTunes ID and repeat the Authorization process.

When I updated my ipods touch os version it wiped out all my software I had paid for, my pictures, music, videos, contacts everything. What a rip off. I would just go back to my last version, but I'm sure that wouldn't help. What a racket, make people buy software then put out a new version and wipe there system so they have to buy the software again. Anyone have any idea's?

The iPod backup that iTunes makes during every sync and and as the a early step of an USB update does not contain synced media like apps and music. It has aloways been that way. If rhe synced media is not in your iTunes library when you do the restore it can't be synced to the iPod during a latter part of the update. See:

I am developing an iWEB site where the content is 1300 pixels in depth but the browser background is 2500 pixels in depth. I want the browser background to be just a little longer than the content, say about 1340 pixels, but cannot seem to shorten the browser measurements. Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this problem? I have tried to make height adjustments in the Page Layout section of the Inspector, but content height heading has no affect on anything. I have built about 75 sites in iWEB and this is my first experience like this.
