It's a glitch with facebook. All you can do is wait for FB to fix it or find a work around like third party apps that might work better

just recently my iphone is not syncing calendar to my macbook. It has worked all along until about a week ago. It does transfer new items from the computer to the iphone but not from the iphone to the computer.
Plug you iPhone into your computer, select the iPhone, select the photos tab. Now check (not uncheck) the sync photos from... Select the folder where the photo came from, click apply then sync, now uncheck the sync photos box, click apply, it will ask you if you want to remove the photos click remove, it will not delete other photos exept the ones in the folder that was synced. Then click sync and the photos will be removed

First message I get when I connect the iphone is
"The software on iphone has expired and must be updated to a newer version"
Then it tries to backup but I get
"Itunes cannot sync apps to the iphone because the apps installed on the iphone could not be determined"
When I click check for updates it says I have the latest version (5.0)
When I try to restore I always get "iTunes could not backup the iphone because a session could not be started with the iphone. Please disconnect and reconnect the iphone, then try again"
Tried that MANY times but no luck.
This iphone was on a developper account but it is not anymore (removed from developper account).
I'm the administrator on my PC. When I'm on the summary of my iphone it shows N/A as my phone number.
Back up to icloud doesn't work because I didn't set it up before it stopped working
When I try to activate it directly from the iphone I always get "Could not activate iphone. Your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarely unavailable..." (for the past 3 weeks :s)
I can access my music and everything from itunes.
I even tried to restore it from the ispw file (using shift + restore) but I got an error message (sorry I don't remember which one) but it didn't work.
I also tried device manager, select PC, scan hardware for changes (read it worked for some) but not for me after that I don't get the

iphone 4S - Windows Vista - 64 Bit (and photoshop elements 9.0) is not recognizing my iphone as a camera - therefore I cannot download pictures from my iphone. iTunes works fine with the iPhone, but I do not see it in "My Computer" when connected via USB. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes....still nothing. Any ideas?

My iPad is not being recognized by the computer, therefore, cannot sync. It charges when plugged to the wall, but not when pugged to iMac.
Most common culprits include the cable. Try swapping it out for a different one.. or not having the most recent version of itunes. I once even solved this problem by shutting down the computer for 2 minutes. (the longer the better), with the ipad plugged in. starting it up... then itunes recognizes it, launches, and syncs.

It will advise you to reboot. I recommend shutting down instead.

P.S The ipad should charge when asleep and plugged into your Mac. The charging behavior is normal. There isn't enough power out the USB ports to charge the ipad while it is on on some older Macs and nearly all PCs. -

I am trying to activate an original iPhone. I keep running into issues (partially because the rest of the world is activating 4Gs phones). I would appreciate any help that is available.
I am working on a MacBook running OSX 10.5.8. My iTunes has been updated- 10.5.
I am currently getting a message- iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPhone “MRL iphone” because the apps installed on the iPhone could not be determined. The iphone screen shows the usb cord/plug pointing to the itunes logo whether attached to a computer or not. And says slide for emergency use.
-I have restored to factory settings several times both from a previous backup and set up as new phone.
-I have even attempted to use another Mac and a family member's windows machine with similar results on all.
-I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes
-I have put the phone into the recovery mode and restored from there
-I have restarted both the computer and phone numerous times
-I have replace the SIM card with a new card from the provider
-I have received an email saying the phone was activated (and have called to verify with the service provider)
I'm sure there are other things I have tried as well that I am forgetting, as I have been at this now for about 3days. There have been times when I got nothing but a breif "accessing iTunes store" and then a white screen with the grey word iPhone in the middle. At least now I have the normal summary screen when clicking on the device. Unfortunately I am still getting an error "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPhone “MRL iphone” because the apps installed on the iPhone could not be determined." I am not attempting to sync apps, just sync the phone to get a current/clean backup. I will want to sync the apps, just haven't been able to get that far.
By the way, prior to starting this process the iphone worked perfectly- no issues. This just seems to have become an issue when I attempted to restore to factory settings for a clean start with the new line.
This is the furthest I have been able to get in the process. I really need to get this up and running soon as I will need the phone for the work week.
Please help!Not sure if this is a solution or not but it seemed to work for me. Simply restart your iphone.

Gutenprint drivers are intended for non-laser printers. HP supplies the proper drivers, and you can download the latest version directly from HP's support site. Or you can install the most recent HP drivers provided by Apple.
Printing speeds do not include the time it may take to transfer data to the printer. It also doesn't take into account the time it takes for the printer to be prepared to start printing. Color is much slower than B/W.
Contact HP for any additional assistance you may need since these forums do not provide support for non-Apple products. -

I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

I have an iMac with 10.9.1 and an iPhone 5 also updated to the newest system and I cannot get a sync set up between Ical and the iPhone or Outlook 2011 mac calendar with the iphone. I would perfer using outlook but will settle for the Imac calendar
It depends on what iMac you have. If it is an old PPC (G4 orG5) iMac then no further upgrades are possible. If it an Intel iMac:

itunes cannot sync app to the iphone' my_iphone_name_here'because the apps installed on the iphone could not be determinedI also got this message when trying to sync my 3G iPhone. I followed several suggestions found here: tried restarting everything, then changing automatic updates in iTunes. I also tried the "scan for hardware changes" suggestion, but nothing worked. Then as per the above posters, I also went into iTunes, selected Apps, and went to the bottom right to get App updates. A list of needed updates appeared with the icons, and as they updated, the icon would disppear, until I was left with "SoundCloud". It appeared to update fine, but the icon remained. I clicked "get update" a couple of times on the icon....it would update but the icon stayed on the list. I tried to sync after this and still got the error. . Then I then deleted SoundCloud from the phone, and the sync worked fine. SoundCloud was reinstalled on my phone during Step 4 of the sync. Hope this helps!!

Recently, I can't get any sound from my game applications. Sound works fine with video, streaming, etc, but not my game applications. I've tried powering down and re-booting, but the sound does not return. Can anyone help me?
Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). I have an apple iphone 4 that I want to download audio books from my library onto. I cannot figure out how to do that. The iphone does not show up on my mac laptop as a connected device. Does this kind of download have to run through itunes? Thanks
Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. I've twice tried to use iTunes match. It stalls in step 2. I've rebooted my iMac computer and it still stalls. Apple's taken the $25 but not delivered the service. Can I get some personal help? There are 12,733 songs, a few dozen of which are not going to be in the Apple music library because they are unique to my collection. Also, some titled "Track XX" and no artist. I assume these would either not upload or else just be uploaded. But, after an overnight of step 2, the iTunes match program was still on song number 7384 or 12733 (it was on that number for over 12 hours). Looking in the music library, activating the iCloud icon and status fields, there were hundreds of songs with the status "waiting."

Well it could still be a software problem if you installed a third party program after the OS X wipe and install, because by booting into Safe Mode it disables certain functions of OS X and hardware. Check for updates or problems for all your third party software, include everything, including menulets, System Preference panes, hacks and so forth.
If you restored any sort of software from backup like TimeMachine, it likely was corrupted data and now is returned.
If the college tech support found a lot of dust clogging the rear exhaust vents behind the fans, then likely the heat damage done to the machine has already occured and can't be reversed. Video cards are usually first to go, which Safe Mode does disable the video card somewhat.
Run through this list of fixes, it's systematic in nature, also has a Hardware Test to see what's going on

My music was erased, therefore, I am trying to sync all of the music from my computer into the iPhone, but it says that I need to use the original computer/itunes in order to sync, but it is the same computer and iTunes account. The error reads: The iPhone, "Name" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and a sync with this iTunes library? If I click "Erase and Sync," will it delete my contacts, apps, etc?
