I cannot load a CD into my iMac

Can someone please help i just started not being able to load a CD/DVD it feels like something is stopping the disk from going in?

Can you see another disk if you shine a light in the slot?
If the drive fails, a blocking bar automatically moves to block any more insertions. If you see the bar, you need a new drive.

Cannot Load modplsql.dll into server

Hi all,
I am unable to get the Oracle Forms and reports running because I cannot get the OC4J started. The OC4J is in an Oracle Application Server Environment.
I have gone into 'ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin' directory and excuted 'opmnctl startall'
But I always get the following error:

Syntax error on line 9 of c:/oracle/frhome_1/apache/modplsql/conf/plsql.conf:
Cannot load c:/oracle/frhome_1/bin/modplsql.dll into server: (126) The specified module could not be found:
The have followed the path and modplsql.dll does not exist. I cannot find this file anywhere, i have searched the whole of C drive. I don’t know what to do to get OC4J started.
I should tell you the domians have been changed which is one of the reason for all of these problems. i have changed the domain names in all config files by searching for the old domain name. The listeners and tsnames have all benn changed. The database server is now up and running and i can connect to it from the application server using SQLPlus. But Oracle Forms and Reports fails to start.
I have tried to run the Enterprise manager but that never starts. 'Internet Explorer cannot find webpage' always gets displayed. This is true for both the database and Application servers. (Database and Forms and reports are installed to two different servers)
The truth is I don’t know much about Oracle. I am trying to get this up and running after this company moved locations.
Please help me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cannot load any Disc into my optic drive.

Need some help about my optic drive.I cannot load any CD or DVD into the slot.It seems like something was inside the optic drive.Can only load in a few mm of the disc inside the slot.Anyone please help.

The Optical drives in these computers include a sheet metal "shell". In some cases, handling by holding the Mac in one hand near the DVD slot can cause a bned in the top plate, so that the drive top plate blocks the DVD-entry slot. This can preclude inserting a DVD into the slot.
In the US, the solution is to make an appointment at the genius bar for a FREE evaluation and drive-straightening session.
In other parts of the world this may not be free, and/or you may choose to do this yourself.

We have been authorized to download 40 copies of a VPP app. The price tier is free. We download the app through itunes and load it into configurator. Because the App is free we are not given the option to load the codes which we rightfully own.
The devices we wish to configure will not have internet connectivity in the future and I need to know that the app on them will not expire!
If I load the app with configurator (unsupervised!) will the app expire in a year and be disabled? I cannot have that happen!
Please advise!

Cannot load Messages app on my iMac

I have an iMac running Yosemite and an iPhone running 8.1. Occasionally messages appear on my iMac but they don’t arppear on my phone. When I open the Messages app on my iMac I cannot access the messages. The Preferences option and Add Account option is greyed out in the menu. Can I reload the Messages app, or is there something else I should do to have the iMessage app working on my iMac?

Oh, I seem to have resolved it. No idea how, but creating a new Messages account seemed to kick start it all.

Cannot load QXD file into Indesign CS3

Hi,
I'm trying to open up a Quark QXD file in Indesign CS3. It find finds the file as a readable file, but when trying to open I get the error message that it cannot open the file - Adobe Indesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application.
Adobe support lists this as an importable file, and tells me where the plug-in is stored - I've checked and do have it (I can find it in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS3\Plug-Ins\Filters\Sangam Readers) Reader for QuarkXpress.smrd. The QXD file is not in use anywhere else.
Is it possible to check if this plug-in is actually loaded and if it's not, how do I install it? Has anybody else had this problem?

InDesign cannot directly open Quark files later than version 4 due to encryption. If your files are from a later version you can use the Q2ID plugin from Markzware.

This should not be any issue with PE7 as it is meant for opening any supported not corrupted image. Can you please re check this issue with you. Make sure you have copied the image successfully and completely from your phone to your machine.
If again you are facing the issue please share the image your are trying to open.

I cannot load plug ins into pse 13 like I did with pse 11.

I have tried taking the plug ins from pse 11 and installing in pse 13 but cannot get them to work, your help will be appreciated.

PSE 11 was a 32-bit program and PSE 13 is 64 bits unless you are running a 32 bit version of windows, so most likely you need to check for updated versions of your plugins, since those should be 64 bits as well.

Cannot load CDs to itunes on iMac ( OS X v10.6.8 ). all systems updated. The CDs works in my friends cheap Dell/ windows.

the discs are single, new, clean, flat and load in my friends dell/ windows fine.

=Troubleshooting CD ripping issues=
The easiest thing to check is if it is just this CD. Try another one. If others work, then it is likely the CD. Yes, evenif it works in a friend's computer.
Try an alternative ripper such as XLD or Max. Even though you may not want that as the long-term solution it will at least indicate whether the problem is with iTunes or something else.

If other CDs and rippers do not work, it could be the drive itself, or the part of the computer running the hardware. For the latter some have found a SMC reset to work.

If you think it is the drive, you can try a cleaning disc (about $10 from a computer store or media store) to get rid of dust. I haven't had much success with these, though usually I am running some older machine on which I can expect a drive to die after 5 years of use.

iMovie 06 was last updated about the time AVCHD camcorders were first introduced. (2006) This means that there is no support for importing into iMovie 06 directly from a camera. However, iMovie 06 can edit Apple Intermediate Codec, so if you can find a way to convert your AVCHD to Apple Intermediate Codec, you can edit in iMovie 06.
The most straightforward way to import AVCHD is to use a more recent version of iMovie. These versions will convert the AVHCD to Apple Intermediate Codec on import. You can then edit it, or if you prefer, import into iMovie 06.
iMovie 08 came out in 2007. You need at least OSX 10.4 and an Intel core duo processor for AVCHD.
iMovie 09 came out in 2009. You need at least OSX 10.5 and an Intel core duo processor for AVCHD.
iMovie 11 came out in 2010. You need at least OSX 10.6 and an Intel Core Duo processor for AVCHD.

I cannot load logic studio into my retina macbook pro from disc

I am trying to load logic studio from the upgrade discs that I brought when it first came out and it's not loading on my retina macbook pro. I'm loading it through the external superdrive. any help would be great.

Could it be because you are trying to install from upgrade discs? Do you have the installation media for whatever version you upgraded from? If so, you might try installing that version and then doing the upgrade installation over that.

I cannot load new brushes into Elements 12

I just downloaded Elements 12. I am trying to add new brushes. I have some in a folder in my computer.
I followed instructions: Open Hard drive, go to Program Files (I also had to open Common Files), go to Adobe,
open Plug Ins. What I get is Elements 12 with no other files .... no brush folder, nothing.

I cannot load tool presets into the Art History Brush, and tools that I load into the Pattern Stamp disappear when I shut down. All of the tools are loaded in the Preset Manager, but wheether I try to replace or append, they do not go in. Help!

I need help with imac g4 flat panel download of leopard it tells me it cannot load on the system.

i bought a refurbished imac g4 flat panel. it is supposed to have an os but it only comes up with a question mark. I put leopard in and it tells me it cannot load on this compuert. system is 800mhz and 60g hd and 768ram. i have tried to do a fix through the utility and it says it does not exit and kicks me out. ANY HELP IS A PLUS.

Try holding down the option key then power on. This brings up the startup manager. Click on your hd. Click on right arrow key.
Sometimes if volumes don't appear in Startup Manager (what you get when you hold down the Option key at startup), you need to reset the Mac's PRAM, NVRAM, and Open Firmware. Shut down the Mac, then power it up, and before the screen lights up, quickly hold down the Command, Option, P, and R keys, until the Mac has chimed twice more after the powerup chime. Then, before the screen lights up, hold down Command-Option-O-F until the Open Firmware screen appears. Then enter these lines, pressing Return after each one:

set-defaults
reset-all

You have got get in open firmware to hack the mhz to be higher for the install. That is change what the machine reports as the mhz to be a higher number. Details:

I tend to think dashboard is neat, but not neccesary for my everyday workflow.
it is possible to enable and disable it as needed,
by entering the following commands into the terminal:
-- To turn Dashboard off:
defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES
-- To turn Dashboard on:
defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO
-- You have to restart the Dock after making either change for it to take effect:
killall Dock

After loading a picture into Photoshop some of the menu tools are greyed out and I cannot use the keyboard short cuts, for instance I cannot use Ctrl + T for free transform, how do I resolve this problem. In addition the tool Icons are so small I have to get close to the screen to see them, is there anyway the Icons can be made bigger without reducing the resolution of the screen.

Are you working on a background layer? If so, Ctrl + T will not work. Press Alt and double-click your background layer to convert to a normal layer (or right-click BG layer and select Layer from Background) and try again.
If you're working in Photoshop CC 2014 you can go to Preferences > Experimental Features and tick "Scale UI 200% for high-density displays" to make your buttons and icons larger.
