I'm trying to download the latest version of firefox the firefox 3.6.13 dm corrupt image failed to mount. what's the problem?
Check the pref dom.storage.enabled on the about:config page and make sure that the pref is set to true.
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Dom.storage.enabled
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

I cannot load the latest version of Itunes on my Toshiba PC with Windows 7 Home Premium. Tried to re-install. Dead in the water. Windows error 126. Cant start becasue MSVCR80.dll is missing from my computer
You may have to follow the slightly more detailed steps in whichever of these two applies to you.
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Rebooting into safe mode may be needed to delete any folder the instructions say you should remove. You may also find this Microsoft Fixit helps to remove stubborn components. It has taken some people several attempts to completely clean iTunes and supporting software before they have been able to successfully reinstall it.

I cannot install the latest version of Firefox
I am attempting to download and install Firefox 5.0. I am currently running Firefox 3.6.18. I have a Mac with OSX 10.5.8.
I was able to successfully download the file named 5.0.dmg, and to open the file. I dragged the Firefox icon to my Applications folder, as instructed. I was informed that an older file of the same name was present, and I chose to replace this with the new file, and the files were then installed. I then quit Firefox and restarted the program. Two tabs opened, one of which was my homepage, the other of which was a Firefox page telling me I had successfully installed version 3.6.18, and recommending to update to the latest version. When I clicked on the appropriate link for the latest version, I was taken to the download page for the file 5.0.dmg.
I went through this process twice, with the same result. I would very much like to update to version 5.0 of Firefox, and can't at all figure out why I don't seem to be able to do so.
Thanks in advance for any help.Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean reinstall.
Install the new version that you have downloaded.

error 126 can not load library "DLBAPRP.DLL" using defaults. this message appears when we try to print from our web bookmarks or any acrobat or pdf files
That error seems to be new with Firefox 4 - never heard of it with earlier versions of Firefox, but it goes back many years in various Windows programs.
See this [http://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=DLBAPRP.Dll&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 search]. -
I up graded to the new version of fire fox .05 and no longer have my PDF open. I use Adobie. On my lap top they open using 04.
You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).

I have tried all of the solutions suggested by the Mozilla website. I am on Windows 7.
It is possible that there is a problem with the files key3.db and signons.sqlite that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox.<br />
Rename the files key3.db and signons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder.<br />
You can add .old to the file names (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) or move them to another folder to make it possible to undo the action.<br />
You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and all currently saved passwords are lost.<br />
If that has worked then you can remove the renamed files that are no longer needed.

The County IT Department is very sketchy on why they are making everyone give up using Firefox. I'm an open source guy and so are a lot of other employees. We want to know if there is an ongoing effort to eliminate Firefox for public employees?

orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab, click the Settings button.
As for the larger question, I can't think of any reason your IT would want to get rid of Firefox, other than aggravation over updates or concern over some add-ons. There are more tools than ever for IT departments to take charge of how Firefox is configured so it is easier to manage -- if that is the issue. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise -
The page load progress bar that was on the lower right of the window is no longer there. After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it. The tab has a circular progress wheel but this is useless for determining a stuck or slow loading page.
PLEASE NOTE: I am typing this in from a Windows based work computer but am asking about my Apple MacBook Pro that i use at home.Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.<br />
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default <b>about:home</b> Home page.<br />
Another possibility is to use:

We have the latest version of firefox. downloaded gamers unit snag bar, but we cannot get it up as a toolbar or on toolbar. It shows under add-ons under the firefox drop down but does not reflect under toolbar bookmarks. how do we resolve?

# Right click on the tab bar, and a menu will appear.
# Click on an item to show/hide it.

Terrible performance since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox.
Since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox, have been experiencing terrible performance. I have websites load time increase of even hesitate in loading. Also I keep getting the error that my Adobe Flash is not current, even after re-installing the Adobe Flash several times.
Laptop configuration:
Lenovo Thinkpad E530 core i5 processor with 8 GB Ram running on Windows 8.1 Pro.
I am seriously considering dumping Firefox which I have been using since 2.x and going back to MS Explorer which I hate. Any help with these performance issues would be greatly appreciated.

I have a brand new HP dv8t laptop that is straight from the manufacturer 2 days ago.
Last night, I attempted to download and installed the latest version of Firefox. After installing, it worked great for an hour or so (3.4 different sessions).
Then, this morning when I came back to the computer, Firefox crashes at startup and gives me the option of finding a solution online or quitting the program.
How aggravating!
I have installed this same version on 2 other computers that I own, without any issue.
I have attempted to uninstall Firefox from the dv8 and reinstalling, to no avail.
I cannot find the crash report, but I do this see this message once the app crashes:

Please help! I cant stand iE anymore and I'm so lost without Firefox! You might try using the add-on 'NoSquint' which allows numerous zoom options specific to each page you visit & keeps your settings - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
If you want to go back to 3.6x, you will find it here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side. -
My computer did it's normal Window update as well as updated to the latest version of FireFox. Since then I can access minimum parts of normal websites and I cannot use multiple tabs to search different websites. I restored my computer to before the Windows 7 update thinking that was the problem but I still have trouble accessing sites and extreme slowness with FireFox. Any ideas?
