I cannot make any outgoing calls.

I do have credit but cannot make any outgoing calls to phone numbers. WHen I hit the call button, there is a long silence (while the icon in the screen says "calling" and then, the call ends automatically.

I wonder about the response to this problem. I'm currntly in the UAE and have been now for two weeks and I too am haivng the same problem. The reason for my questioning the response is I didn't come alone. Several individuals and I moved here from Bahrain. I logged off my computer, shut it down, packed it up in my computer bag and carried it on the plan with me. Now we all live in the same building and I'm the only one having problems with Skype. Everyone else has continued to enjoy skype but I cna't make a phone call. Not to a landline or Mobile. I can only receive calls. Again no one else out of the eight of us are having any problems except me. I had no problems with Skype the night before I flew over to the UAE and less than 24 hours later I can't make a single call. I'm using Windows 7 /32 bit and Yes I using the lasted version fo Skype. Is there a solution to this problem

Not being able to make any outgoing calls

I have (regrettably) been a retuned BT customer since 28th June. I have not been able to make an outgoing call (except 100 and 150) since that date. When I attempt a call I get a pre-recorded message saying 'I am not registered for this service contact service provider'
I have spent an average of 30 mins every other day since 28th june speaking to customer services in various parts of India. I have had at least three seperate managers from those call centers who have promised to own my issue, and they have each fail ed to call me back when its proven to be too difficult to resolve. There is no way of me contacting anyone who promises to take ownership so I end up back at square one. I have had two seperate engineer crews and a then an supervisor (to check the work of the first engineer) call to my home. I have had several txts telling me the service has been fixed and I still cannot make calls.
I was told by one manager that my line hadnt been ported i checked with my previous service provider who wrote that 'After checking services for telephone number *******1272, YourCalls.net can confirm all services have now been removed. BT will need to ensure the CPS (Carrier Pre Select) is set up on their system for your call traffic.'
The lastest engineer who called to my home today informed me that a block had been put on my line (he was told by someone he spoke to that perhaps this was due to unpaid bills . to my knowledge I have no unpaid bills) I was told that this would now be with BT wholesale but I have not been informed of any way to speak to them or to find out who or why thios block is on.
So at this moment I have paid for a years line rental and spent several frustrating hours on the phone and I still appear no closer to being able to make outbound calls.
Can anyone suggest how I might resolve this.

Update I have had a message from my previous provider
'We have check the services that are still on the line which is a 3rd Party Call Barring, this product is a BT product. We did receive a reconnection notice from BT on the 28/06/2013 to transfer your line to them; this was completed by BT on that day. We do not understand why BT is not able to activate the line.
BT needs to advise you as to why they have not completed the transfer completely.

Can't Make Any Outgoing Calls After 7.0.2. Update iPhone 5 Verizon???

After I updated my phone to 7.0.2. I ahve not been able to make outgoing calls. And when I speak into the phone all i cam here is myvoice through the ear piece. I would have o hang up and try again atleast 3 times to get the call to go through. Also when on the phone with headset the phone will constantly say call failure even though I have a strong signal. It's an iPhone 5 thru Verizon. Please Help!!!

The same problem for me. When i'm trying to make outgoing call, 60% of times it's just freezing at "Calling...." without any sounds inside. When i'm trying to cancel phone call, it's freezing at "Cancelling...". But 2-3 minute doesn't do it.
My friends most of times can't phone to me because iphone always unavaiable. The one things that helps - every time reset phone with button. During one day it can be 20-30 times.
THIS IS THE WORST IOS WHAT I EVER SEEN... iPhone should be PHONE primary, not any other features.

Powr down, remove SIM, replace, turn back on. Try that, and make sure slot is clean and card is not damaged. After that, I'd call Verizon from another phone.

Can't make any FaceTime calls, but can receive calls

Any advice on how to enable outgoing Facetime calls on an iPad 2.
I have set Facetime up with my Apple User ID and several people have been able to make Facetime calls to me and they work perfectly. However, if I try to initiate a Facetime call to any user, I always get the message that they are unavailable for Facetime. I have checked with each of them that I have the correct emails in my contacts that is associated with their Apple IDs and with their Facetime, but still I can't make any calls to them.
I have not found anything in the Apple support pages that is effective. I have also completely wiped the iPad back to the just out of the bax stage and set it up from scratch as a new iPad, but that didn't help at all. I have also reset all settings, tried changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8, but nothing seems to make any difference. It will not make any outgoing calls with facetime, but is happy to receive them.
Am I missing something obvious ?
It is an iPad 2 (wifi and 3G model), but doesn't have a 3G SIM installed yet. I understand Facetime doesn't use 3G, only wifi.

You might be right about the email thingy.
I have managed to overcome the problem somewhat by getting the contacts I couldn't call to Facetime me on my MacBook Pro. This leaves their contact details on the Recents list in the Facetime window. I was able to click on these contact details to make a reply call. I then added them to the Favourites list (click the > symbol next to the recent contact and click the Add to Favourites button). The email address appears the same as before, but the one in the Favourites list works.

I cannot make a group call any more

As of a couple weeks ago, when I select someone to call, the video icon is fine and I can call them. When I add a second person (same people I have been calling before), the icon is greyed out and I cannot initiate a call. Both of these people I can talk to individually on skype but if I try to call them together, It won't let me.

no, i didn;t try another location. right now, i can send text messages but phone calls. the signal is very weak and sometimes no service. i cannot receive any phone calls but i can receive voice message. when i make calls, just no responding, the screen still showing: calling mobile. that's it. this situation happened after hurricane sandy.

When I make an outgoing call the recipient cannot hear as though the volume were turned down Lowe. However when I use my speaker phone function the recipient can hear at normal volume. Is there a fix for this issue? Thanks Teresa

Oh, and I can't hook up my iPhone to iTunes because it's locked with a passcode. I can't begin to type the passcode because of this stupid "Restore Needed - can't send or receive calls" thing. This is beyond silly.

I have reset the phone clearing all the data and updated to the most recent software version available from itunes; and still no improvements. The results of my switching to a new phone would indicate a software issue.

E7 cannot make any calls

My E7 can no longer make any phone calls. Everytime I try to make a call its goes beep boop "connection problem" eventhou it has full bars. I got i going again by shutting it down, but now that has stopped working as well. Few time when somebody has called me it has dropped the call at the first second saying "connection problem". What gives?

Four years old SIM sounds pretty old and as said, please try another
SIM in your phone just to make sure your phone is ok.
The new smartphones demands some features also from your SIM-card
that the older ones doesn't.
At least here in Finland, where I live, it's easy to get a new SIM from your
operator. In my hometown here is tens of places where you can do it in 10 mins,
and depending where you go, it costs some 10€ or nothing. It can be done
over the internet also (they'll send a new SIM to your home).

I am having the same problem. Squeal with handset calls, no squeal with bluetooth in the car or on speaker phone. Some calls have no squeal, but then I can hear the person on the other end, but they cannot hear me. Has anyone come up with a solution? I am going to reset to factory settings and see if that helps.
