I cannot make my Outlook 2010 calendar/tasks/contacts sync with the calendar on my iPhone 5, I cannot make my Outlook 2010 calendar sync with the calendar on my iPhone 5

I have wasted so many hours trying to make this work and researching Apple support.  Nothing works so I am hoping to get an answer here.
First of all, here is what I am using:
Windows 7 32 bit
Outlook 2010
iPhone 5 and iPad 3
iOS 7.0.2 on both devices
I have downloaded the iCloud app for my Windows computer and checked that it sync my contacts, calendar, and tasks.  I have enabled iCloud on my phone for contacts, calendars and tasks.  I have not been able to get anything to sync.  My iCloud calendar appears in Outlook but everything is grayed out.  I see the iCloud reminders under my tasks tab but there is nothing listed.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iCloud on my Windows computer.  I have turned off the calendars, tasks, and contacts sync under iCloud on my phone and turned them back on - nothing.  I have restarted my computer and iPhone - nothing.  Same results with my iPad - nothing.
Additionally, I have gmail as my personal email; also am forced to use Good for Enterprise for my work email.
I am at my wits end.  I finally ended up syncing today with the USB cable via iTunes but the whole point behind iCloud is to be able to sync wirelessly.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there janis143,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like after the recent iOS update, your Outlook content is no longer syncing properly to your phone.
I found this article named:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting contact and calendar syncing via USB on Windows

I recommend the troubleshooting steps therein.

  • Best replacement apps for calendar, tasks, contacts???

I am migrating from a Palm handheld after 10 years of use and very eager to find a replacement for the built-in calendar, tasks, contacts apps. I'd like them to manage the data in a way that allows the databases to sync with mobileme appropriately. I use Entourage on my desktop and find the lack of integration between Apple's ical, contacts, tasks and notes to be a loss overall. Below would be some ideal features for each:
Calendar - allows day, week, month, year views and list view. When alarms popup, an easy way to remind me later or edit them. Adjustable fonts to see more on the screen than built in app.
Contacts - sort by different fields, adjustable fonts, preview of phone numbers with name so you don't have to open the item and pick a number from a secondary screen (I'm aware of favorites, but you can only add so many before it becomes unwieldy).
Tasks - hierarchical viewing, easy to change category and priority, side-by-side view of tasks in different categories (ie; work and home) would be nice, adjustable fonts.
I'm aware of a few basic calendar apps, smarttime and a program called lifebalance. Both of these seem interesting but not quite right. Any other suggestions?

There are none currently. There are several for tasks and notes. There are contacts enhancement apps. But Apple will not allow developers to access the built in calendar.
I still carry a Palm in addition to the iPhone because I won't give up Pimlico Software's DateBk6. It's now the ONLY app I use on the Palm, of the 60 that I formerly used; everything else is now functionally available on the iPhone. CE Stuert Dewar, author of DateBk6, is working on a new calendar app (Pimlical) that will run on any platform that supports Java, so Windows, full OS X, Linux, Android, Symbian, etc will all be supported. He is hesitant to develop for the iPhone because of the restrictions on developers. It would be good if Apple took notice, because CESD's former calendar products have sold over 3 million licensed copies.

    Hi,
Do other features in Outlook work well? Like viewing free/busy information or opening other’s folder that shared to you? Receive/send messages? Access OOF? Please check these.
Please run Test Email AutoConfiguration to check your autodiscover service and Exchange web service. If all configured properly, we can create a new Outlook profile to have a try.
    Thanks,

  • HT1692 Have recently installed itunes and outlook on a new computer.  Have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, Help!

My new computer is 64-bit running Windows 7 pro, SP1 and Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus 32-bit
My phone is a 4S runing iOS 6.1.3
Very frustrated now that I have recently installed itunes and outlook on this new computer.  Everything worked perfectly ok on my laptop which was also 64-bit Windows 7 and running 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 Pro.  I have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, when I sync the calendar and contacts are empty.  Not sure if there is any way to point itunes to particular address books and calendars.
I have installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times and thank goodness have a backup
    Can anyone help please?
    thanks in anticipation

I had my home computer set up to sync to work's Exchange server. It worked well, but I didn't like seeing work email messages and other programs trying to sync with my default Outlook folder, which was then the Exchange (& work related) .ost file. I know there are various ways to manage those problems using filters, view, subfolders, etc., but it was a hassle for me. I think it could work well for many other folks.
For now, I have published my work calendar and subscribed to that calendar on my home computer. So I have view only access to my calendar on my home computer (and I can add/edit calendar items on my iPad (or Outlook Web Access) when away from work). This is not quite what I wanted, but it may work.
It almost makes me long for the days when I used my Windows Mobile Treo to sync back and forth between exchange at work and outlook at home (but had many sync conflicts as a result).

  • "Device Pin not set in TransConfig.xml.for translator RimBB" message when I try to sync my BBZ10 with Outlook Calendar and Contacts

Hello, Does anyone know how I can sync my BBZ10 with my computers Outlook Calendar and Contacts? It was working but since my computer returned from being repaired it doesn't sync and gives me the following message
"Device Pin not set in TransConfig.xml.for translator RimBB"

I did resolve it, it was so long ago but here's what I suggest:
-First remove the software on your computer by going to the add/remove programs if you're using a PC. If you're using Mac, I'm not sure where you go.
-Then go to BB website and download the correct program for you phone
-Check both your phone and computer have all their updates
With the newest updates I have no trouble syncing my calendar/contacts from my PC to my BB and vice versa. It was just initially when the BB was so new they hadn't updated the programs. Over time the fixed the glitch, this is why I recommend you remove the program you have and start over, it will probably fix itself.

  • Install the whole suite for calendar, email, tasks, & contacts

    Hello
I'm trying to install the whole communication suite but I am unfamiliar with the application. I'm looking for all the functionality in the subject, however for 1 I don't know what all of the dependancies are. Once I install all of the dependancies I don't know how to run it and login. I checked all the documentation and the information isn't there so plz don't post a referral link.
I don't know if I need glassfish to login or something if it's a webpage interface?

    => Calendar Server (calendar, tasks)
    => Messaging Server (email)
=> Convergence web interface (contacts, email, calendar, tasks)
If you install Instant Messaging server you also get Instant Messaging functionality.
Once I install all of the dependancies I don't know how to run it and login.Your best place to start is to follow the single-host install guide which will give you a fully functioning installation with all your requirements. If you don't want IM server then just skip that step.

  • HT204053 All I want to do is share my calendar and contacts w/my other computer that a family member uses?

All I want to do is share my calendar and contacts w/my other computer that a family member uses?

If you all log into iCloud with the same AppleID, then you can all have access to the same Contacts, Calendars, Mail, Notes, Safari Bookmarks. Or, you can only select some of those, but individualized iCloud email would not be possible. That's probably not really what you want to do, though.
You can also just share out your Calendars via iCloud, no need to use same AppleID. They can subscribe to them and I believe you can authorize them to make changes.
Looking at Contacts, it does look like you could create another iCloud account, independent of the iCloud account in the iCloud system prefs, but I don't have another to test at the moment. If that works for the Contacts, they would have their own set and yours too.

  • Calendar and Contacts just stopped working

I have an odd issue creep up that Apple Enterprise support and I cannot seem to remedy, I am hopeful someone here might give me some insight.
Mac Mini Server, Running OS X Server 10.8.4.
A few users (no Open Directory)
Each user has their own contacts and calendars.
Each user can enter user and password to see server shares
As of yesterday each users account on their client Macs cannot access either contacts or calendars, the server keeps asking for the password within both calendar and contact apps, entering in the correct password still yields the error.
    I have tried:
    -resetting the password
-logging that user in directly to use the server be sure they can login, they can.
-resetting the password with must reset password upon next login checked
    -reset all the services
-reset the databse for contacts and calendars via terminal
    -removed keys from keychain
-looked at console and found errors, but they don't point to much
-restored the entire server from a TM backup when I know all was working fine. Did that and then accounts that were working no longer work, so it became worse
-apple is stumped, therefore I am starting phase 3 of digging deeper
Their suggestion at this point is a clean install of the OS which is a large undertaking and does not provide comfort as I am not sure what started this issue to begin with therefore it could come up again.
Any one out there with any ideas? I can provide more information if needed.

Yes indeed will do that. Another item I found curious is some accounts I deleted and tried to create them again but got an error stating that I could not create that account because there was another one with that name. I checked this in terminal as well but even there the account could not be found.
This am I restored from a TM backup from July 1st and things are smooth. Apple Eng suggested instead of putting the same calendar and contact account on each client Mac so that multiple users have the same calendar and contacts accounts in order to read and write to those, instead use delegation for multiple calendars and contacts. The PostgreSQL will work more effieciently with delegation.
    Any experience with this?
I had a situation very similar to yours some two years ago (Server 10.6).  Happened out of the blue as I was finishing setting up the server.  All of a sudden the calendar and contacts stopped working.  In their situation we had one account used just for calendar and contact.  Separate credentials for shares etc, and no OD.  I basically did everything you mentioned in the OP several times, hours on the phone w/ Enterprise Support.  Even escallated to Engineering but nothing worked.  Ended up doing a nuke and pave.
On the delegation versus adding each account thing.  I've done both ways and never had any problems.  In fact my production server has half a dozen separate accounts for major customers of mine.  The only problem I have had is with my iPhone.  For some reason it randomly stops updating an account so I have to remove and re-add the account.  Does not happen on my iPad though.

  • Desktop v 6.2 Lost Calendar and Contact functions, Handheld Tungsten E2 still has the data and functions

May 12, 2011 I decided to upgrade Desktop 6.1 to 6.2 on my home Win 7 Desktop,  the download and installation appeared to work correctly. Since I use the handheld daily (for everything) and backup at work and home every 2-3 days. I did not notice that the Calendar and Contact functions on my home desktop had disappeared for a few days. Normally at home I use the Desktop to make adjustments and additions to my data in other applications. I did not realize that Calendar and Contacts had dropped off the home PC, until I needed to update my calendar from notes at home..
I have tried to download the software and repair the installation. Still failed.
So after downloading ver 4.1.4, I uninstalled the 6.2 version.  I was unable to find the installation program for the prior 6.1. Version 4.1.4, lacks what I had for my home desktop.
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

I use the Tungsten E2 & had upgraded to 6.2 (Access) OS.  I had all filed backed up to another folder on the PD.  I lost the DATE, ADDRESS, MEMOS & TO DO categories on the Palm Desktop.  I tried to re-install 6.2 (the categories were still lost); I uninstalled 6.2 & installed 4.1 (but could not import files from my backed-up files).
The solution was to uninstall 4.1 (I used Windows uninstall) & to re-install 6.2.  The missing categories were still missing.  Right click on the Palm Desktop shortcut, click on Properties, click on Compatibility, put a check mark  in the Administrator Box, click on Apply & click on OK.  The missing categories returned including the data that was in them.

  • My iMac calendar and contacts no longer sync on iPhone and iPad?

I updated iTunes on my iMac a few months ago. Since then my calendar and my contacts on the iMac have not been syncing on my iPhone and my iPad. My memory says there used to be an "Info" button at the top of the iTunes interface when I had my iPhone or iPad connected to the iMac for syncing. Do not see that button any more? Have been looking and looking for some new way to sync my calendar and my contacts, but have not found anything. This is one of several disappointments with the new iTunes. How do I get my iMac, iPhone, iPad calendars and contacts to sync??
It's been a real pain to have to enter calendar and contact information into all three! My iMac runs on Maverick, my iTunes is 11.1.3, and the iPhone and iPad run on iOS 7.0.4

    Hello Bev76,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like contacts and calendars on your iPad are not being synced to your iPhone 5, but the data syncs from iPhone to iPad.

  • Google mail, calendar and contacts won't load but salesforce, facebook will - Help

When I hit mail, calendar or contacts words begin flashing so fast you can hardly read them...loading, google, mail etc. in the space to type in a web address. On the screen itself, the word loading flashes on and off, On the tab there is the same very rapid cycling of words, loading, google etc.
Other on line applications seem fine like salesforce, facebook etc.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox to no avail. I can get to my mail through Safari but not through Firefox.
    Can you help me?

Never mind... It was indeed something simple that I missed (my icloud account was attached to an apple ID I didn't even know existed -- created for me?? ... fixed it - settings, icloud, sign out, signed back in as my actual apple ID).

  • Setting up an account for Windows Live Mail, Calendar and Contacts

    Hey guys,
Very recently my university mail changed from the regular webmail to Windows Live.
    The question is :
How do I set up an account for emails, calendars and contacts in my mail.app?
Also do I have to use entourage for this purpose or will the mail app be able to figure it all?
    Thanks

You will need your email server addresses for the incoming and outgoing mail servers, your email username and password, and whether you need to use login security, POP or IMAP or Exchange account type, and any relevant port numbers. Then for Mail it's simply creating a new mail account and providing the above information where requested or needed. For assistance with the use of Mail select Mail Help from Mail's Help menu and search for relevant keywords. Same with iCal. In iCal Preferences click on the Accounts icon to configure an Exchange account.
My guess is that if you ask at computer services at your university they can provide the web page at which you will find configuration instructions for using different email clients.
I am not at all familiar with Windows Live but it appears that it may be a browser based information system meaning you may not be able to access it from Mail or iCal. Again discuss this with the IT people at your university.

  • Calendar and Contact not syncing.

I am unable to get either new calendar entries or contacts changes to sync between my iPhone 3G and my desktop by way of Mobile Me. I can see that changes made on my desktop appear in the web interface to my Mobile Me account, but they never get to my iPhone. Conversely, new contacts or calendar entries created on my iPhone don't get to Mobile Me account.
I do get email messages sent to my @me.com or *.mac.com addresses and I can send email outgoing to the account. THere must have been an initial sync of calendar and contacts because I see most of my contact info, just not new entries or changes to existing ones.
I am using a one week old iPhone 3G through AT&T, and a Mac Pro running OS X 10.5.4. with all the latest patches. I use MS Entourage on my desktop and have syncing set up between that and iCal + Address Book and then to my Mobile Me account.
AM I doing something wrong? Is there a way to sync calendar and address book data through the USB sync cable rather than over the air?

    Hi
I'm not that computer literate but have managed to sync my calendar, mail and contacts - so I hope this helps...
I didn't set up a new mobile me account as I don't want another email address. I am using my dot.mac account as my email - and sync'd using my usb cable. This should open itunes if you have it (download if you don't) and then the interface in itunes will walk you through it.
My email is now automatically arriving wirelessly. My calendar and contacts are all there - but when I want to update these I think I have to sync using the USB again, unless I open a mobile me account. My calendar and contacts are not updating wirelessly.
    Hope that's useful.

  • Ipad2 and Iphone 4 will not sync calendar only contacts

Hello.  I have a problem with an ipad2 and iphone 4.  The same @me account on both which has been migrated to icloud.  I put a contact on either device and almost immediately is in the other one.  They are both 3g and they are now on a wifi network.  (i am syncing via wifi)
The calendar is the issue.  There are many events on both devices -different events- but they will not sync as the contacts do.
any ideas on what I can do?  My problem is more than that but i will settle ti fix this one (I also have the original ipad which is not syncing either contacts nor calendar)
Any suggestion on how to have the push/fetch settting?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also the calendars are the calendar which comes with the ipad, i am not using google calendar or contacts, just plain vanilla what came with the devices, i dont care about itunes sync/pictures/apps, just the calendar and contacts.
Thank you in advanced to anyone who can help.

Also, I forgot to mention, I stopped the calendar in all devices and rebooted them.  I then waited before starting the calendar to see if it would sync but with no success.
I do not know what else to try.  I think the push/fetch settings are ok because the contacts sync well and fast.  I am out of ideas as to what to do to get the built in calendar to sync.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
