I cannot now email photos after upgrading to OS 6.1
I upgraded my iPad to OS 6.1. .
Ow when I screen grab a photo and then email it, the email is no longer sent.
The latest iOS level is 6.0.1.
If you save a picture to the Camera Roll you can certainly mail it. I have no problem doing this. What exactly are you doing?

Cannot quit i photo after upgrade
Just installed iPhoto upgrade. Cannot turn off. Tried forced quit, but keeps running when I open it again. I think it is because I authorized the GPS feature and I can't figure out how to stop that. Cannot shut off faces - no arrow, just a "squiggle thing) if that is the problem.
Use the ➙ Force Quit menu option to force quit iPhoto. Then relaunch and see if it will open. If it doesn't try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database. -
Just upgraded to Lion an am discovering that I cannot send email photos from within iPhoto. Error message says bad Internet connection or server not working, when that's not the case. Never happened in Snow Leopard! Help!!!
what email service - Yahoo mail have been acting up lately
you can try setting Mail as your email client - it resolves this pfoblem for some people

Apple Mail Search and Spotlight do not work for locating email messages after upgrading to Lion 10.8.3 on my 27" iMac.
When searching in Apple Mail, sometimes a get a few results (with many missing), and sometimes no results at all.
I had absolutely no problems before with Snow Loepard.
I have reindexed mail and my startup drive. I have followed discussions regarding this matter and tried everything - a waste of time.
This is VERY serious for me - I have many thousands of messages that I archive and need to reference for work and clients, and now I cannot find them.I found out that I needed a $100 mini displayport to dual-link dvi adapter to make my $30" cinema display work with my macbook pro

When I found out that solved the problem, I took it back because that was too expensive for a stupid adapter, and it still didn't work perfectly. -

If you've updated your iOS device to iOS 8, the photos should still be on the device. The photos will be organized differently than they were previously, though.
In iOS 8, the Photos app organizes photos by date instead of by device or photo source. Here are some questions you might have about Photos after updating to iOS 8.
Where can I find the Camera Roll?
The Photos app in iOS 8 doesn't separate photos and videos based on how they were added to your device. Instead of a Camera Roll, your photos and videos (even ones that you didn't take with or save to your device) are organized by date in Photos.
When you open the Photos app and tap the Photos tab, you'll see your photos and videos listed by Moments, Collections, and Years. Tap Moments to see individual photos organized by date and location, tap Collections to zoom out to a more condensed view, and then tap Years to zoom out even more. Tap a collection or year to zoom back in.
And you'll now have a Recently Added album, which shows the photos and videos added to your device in the last 30 days, organized by date. To see your Recently Added album, tap Albums > Recently Added.
Where can I find the My Photo Stream album?
In iOS 8, there's no longer a separate My Photo Stream album. Instead, photos that were in the My Photo Stream album are now in the Recently Added album.
If you were using iPhoto for iOS, make sure that you migrated your photos.

Cannot open aperture v3 after upgrading to OS 10.6.8. Bought the upgrade online so cannot reload the software. Can you help?
How did you buy it online? Did you buy a registration number from the Apple Store?
Then you can download the Trial version from this link:
Aperture 3.1 Trial
and run Software Update immediately after installing.
Go to the Applications folder and delete Aperture.
Download the Aperture 3.1 Trial.
Open the Aperture Trial disc image.
Double-click the "Aperture Trial.mpkg" file.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Aperture.
After the installation completes, choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.
Cannot open aperture v3 after upgrading to OS 10.6.8.
But what exactly is the error you get, when you try to launch Aperture? Maybe you need to do more than updating.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

After upgrading 17" macbook pro/late 2009 to mavericks - runs slow and having syncing issues. syncs freeze then quit. folders were removed from devices without my setting that up. will not add. all devices are NOT on OS7. Is this why??
You and me both! I thought my error (Unknown error (-50) popped up when I thought I'd try out MobileMe, (which, as an aside screwed a LOT of things up). Now I have no idea. I started getting duplicate bookmarks in Safari, and email from all over, and then my photos will no longer sync from iPhoto. I've never had this problem, had my MacBook Pro for three years, my iMac almost a year, iPhone for 2+. APPLE!!! ARE YOU LISTENING??????

Cannot email photos after installing 2.2
I just installed 2.2 with no problem, and I tried to email a photo this afternoon. Every time I attempt to email a photo I get a message that says "please set up a mail account in order to email photos." The odd thing is I have had email set up for quite a long time and before 2.2 I could email photos without a problem. I tried restarting the phone, tuning off then back on my email account both with no improvement. Next option is to reset the phone. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.
I figured it out, I connected my Iphone into my computer again in hopes of a magic fix. Nothing changed, but the next morning when I woke up my email account on my phone magically disappeared. So once I set up my email account on my iphone again. It worked. Just a little gremlin I guess.

I just bought Mac OSX Tiger today and after upgrading from the previous Mac OSX and after launching Mail, I discovered that all my INBOX emails were LOST!!!
I still have the Draft emails, the Sent emails and Trash but no trace of my 1,425 ancient and precious INBOX emails!
Please help me recover them. I tried lots of ways to get them back but cannot find them. I'd like to also understand what happened.

iBookG4HI Greta, Did you Clean Install Tiger, or Upgrade from a previous OS? as if the latter, you might find them in the ARchived files.
I upgraded to Tiger in December and it caused problems with mail but I didnt lose the messages. So I am thinking you did a clean install.

Cannot change account picture after upgrading to Mountain Lion.
After upgrading to Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard I cannot change account picture anymore.
The box which is supposed to contain picture previews just says "No items".

This is not limited to a particular account, trying to change the picture within any account leads to this problem.
Is there any solution for the issue?

Sure I can drag a photo to the users profile and it works but those Default ones were quite useful for having no mess with setting custom picture.
MacBook Pro with same Snow Leopard -> Mountain Lion upgrade did not have such issue.
