I cannot open i photo since sharing with facebook. why is this?
What do I have to do to open i photo on my computer? I can acces my photos with facebook or to email, but cannot go into i photo to edit or viw specific albums etc.
Well most people just click on the icon. I'm going to make a guess and say that's not working for you. But what does happen i you try? Any error messages? Anything at happen at all?

So your on Facebook and you want to change your photo or just share a photo; well in Lion that is not happening (or any other sharing site). When I am in the box from Facebook where it is asking to select photo...I click pictures...then I am offered iPhoto Library. If I click it then (ofcorse Safari stalls or crashes) because it is trying to open up the entire App iPhoto. Before the Lion upgrade I clicked photos and scrolled to the iPhoto file and it presented me with a ist and I chose the photo I wanted.
Need some help here...When in an upload window use the media browser - look in the lower left under Media ==> photos ==> iPhoto - you do not go directly into the iPhoto library

Since I have made an upgrade of Photoshop CC 2014 I got a lot of problems.
At first, I could not open any pictures in Photoshop. It works only if I disable "Use Graphic processor". I installed a new driver for my video-card, but it did not help. I use AMD FirePro V4800 for 10-bit colour.
I had to return the system to the restore point (before the upgrade), then it worked somehow, but not stable. ACR from time to time had a blue screen with a white cross.
Now I tried to install drivers for my video-card again, but it resulted in the same issue: Photoshop cannot open any photo. (Other converters and editors and also a new Lightroom work well).
I use Win7x64, i7 2600, 16 Gb RAM, two SSD's, AMD FirePro V4800. I have never had any problems before the upgrade. And I do not want to reinstall Photoshop because I would have to reinstall a lot of plug-ins, I have already lost a whole day.Glad it's not just me!
Interestingly, when I spoke with Apple, I tried it in a new user account and the problem went away. Apple said to speak to Adobe which I have done and after deleting settings/prefs again the problem remained. Adobe say as it's fine in a new account then it's an Apple issue not Adobe.
I did find a workaround for now though, when using file - open, set it to list view instead of column view - this fixed my problem but sadly I'm used to working in column view so it's not ideal!
I also got the same error message when trying to replace a set of brushes yesterday too. I need to go back to Apple now but just need to schedule some time to sit and troubleshoot! -
I have CC and bridge, bridge will open but I cannot open a photo file. I get a message: Windows cannot fint C:............... CS4 ck to see if you have spelled properly. Any Ideals? I had CS4 but have since removed it.
A couple of possibilities:
How did you remove CS4 ? If you removed it improperly instead of Uninstalling it (say, you "deleted" it or just dragged it to the Recycling Bin), you almost certainly left stuff behind that needed uninstalling.
What's even worse, if you removed CS4 after you installed CC you may have messed with the CC installation.
I'm not going to attempt to tell you how to fix it, since this will probably involve uninstalling CC and after that looking for, downloading the Adobe CS_Cleaner tool and the CC_Cleaner tool, then re-installing CC, since I'm not a Windows user and don't want to mislead you.
In any case, when Windows users chime in to assist you, they'll need all the details which you have not provided so far. -
Cannot open Adobe Photo Elements 10 on my PC
I cannot open Adobe Photo Elments 10 software on my PC. I purchased the software from a local Best Buy retailer about one year ago and registered the product serial number with Adobe. I also established an Adobe User ID and Password. I paid for this product with my hard earned money and now I cannot open the program on my personal computer after having been able to do so in the past. This is extremely poor customer service on the part of Adobe!!! What are you going to do now to correct this problem or make a full refund to me?!
Also, what is the Adobe help desk telephone number? This company ought to display their customer help desk telephone number, email address and chat line prominently on their website if they are serious about good customer service.
I am waiting now very impatiently!
If I don't receive a respond promptly I will be forced to file a formal complain with the Fairfax County Department of Consumer Affairs!

I'm glad you got it all worked out. Here are two things that might help in the future with installation issues and serial numbers/activation issues:

There is an option to click a chat button on that page.

I have just downloaded PSE10 onto my Mac (via disc) and I cannot open "Full Photo Edit". I keep getting a message saying "Could not open a scratch file because you do not have the necessary access privileges". The reason I bought Photoshop was to edit my photos more fully! Does anyone know what this means and what I need to do please!?!
This is simply because, the prefrences file doesnt have full permissions
In order to give permisisons, check whether you are logged in with admin rights or not
If not then give full permission on the folder mentined below :
Users\[username]\Library\Preferences\Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Settings\
If it does'nt resolve then try creating admin account and loggin in to that -

When did this begin? Did you run any updaters just before this began and, if so, what were they?
That's a very old iPhoto version so give this a try:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down.
2 - select Options #3 and #4.
4 - Rebuild the library.
If that fails to help continue with this:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I have a problem when updated the new release of iphoto version(11 jun 2012). After that I cannot open any photo libraries and program is error. I must to force quit iphoto window. There are any fixed bug update.
If you have no photos:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and start.

I have an iPhone 4S running software 5.1 (9B179) and cannot sync the photos in PhotoStream with iPhoto '11 v 9.2.1 (628). There's no option to update iPhoto and no option of PhotoStream (which is enabled on my phone). Can anyone help?

The "link related" and "text related" crashes were what I interpretted here, too, though I'm at a loss on how to proceed given that this is a fresh system and applications. This is happening with multiple InDesign projects in a design office environment where many others work on the same files and none of the other computers are having problems with these files. I've removed the same files listed (thank you for those) before and did so effectively with creating the new user account to test with, but it had no effect. I just tried again though, as these files could easily have becone corrupt again if they were being written to when InDesign crashed. Will let you know if that makes any difference. I've also gone through and completely cleaned out the fonts again and once more cleared the font caches. If need be I'll reboot this system into safe mode and try that way.

I cannot open any photos/movies in Entourage, message comes up saying 'folder cannot be found'. Last week I deleted lots of old documents/downloads and fear that I have accidentally deleted what is needed to open photos/movies. Any suggestions please? Should re-install the whole Office:mac program, and is it easy to do this without disturbing what I have on my computer?
