Every time I click the Firefox icon or I try to start it, nothing happened. I already uninstall and re install back but still the same problem occurred.

FLV(F4V): Specific f4v file cannot open with Firefox

Hi all,
I have a flv movie garelly kind of thing on my website, works all fine on IE v11 and Chrome v32.
However, there is one specific f4v file cannot open on Firefox v26.
Getting error says [HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found 315ms].
There were no problem with about one year earlier version of Firefox, on Win7 x64, now I'm on Win8.1 x64.
Anyone have any idea about this?

Seems that after upgrading to 11.10, jnlp files open with firefox instead of javaws (Java Web Start).
If you right click the file on the download folder and choose "open with" you can manually select java web start.
Ubuntu bug...
You can right click any .jnlp file and select "properties", go to "Open With" tab, mark Sun Java 6 Web Start and click "Set as Default". Should fix it. I don't know what would happen if you have the default ubuntu java instead of Sun's. Maybe this wouldn't be necessary.

Cannot open multiple firefox windows

The problem is I cannot open multiple firefox windows at 1 time. It keeps saying that firefox is running or it just spins on the 2nd time that we press on the firefox icon every time I do this. Can you please come up with a solution. Yes we can open up multiple tabs but cannot get more than 1 session running at a time.
Is there a fix for this?

I have a PowerPC G4. Firefox 5 for Yahoo says that I meet the requirements. But I cannot open the Firefox.app on my computer. Why not? Thanks

I was able to download Firefox 5. When I transferred it to my applications folder, it states that I cannot open, because my architecture doesn't support it. Why doesn't it state that when I looked up the minimum requirements? According to that, I should be able to use it.

Do not uninstall Firefox.
(1) Download a full installer for Firefox 32 from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ to a convenient location. (Scroll down to your preferred language.)

I cannot open project; do I start all over, or is there hope?

So I have started doing video podcasts and am using iMovie '11 for editing the footage.
I exported my first episode which turned out to be around 18 min total. When I watched it to verify, the audio started becoming out of sync with the video. It got progressively worse. Searching these forums and the Internet, I found other users were noticing the same problem. One workaround was to extract the audio from each and every clip. I tried this and it worked. The exported movie had no video/audio sync problems. So I thought that would be my workflow.
Then I started working on my second episode. It turned out to be a long one clocking in at an hour and 45 min. It consisted of some complicated edits and a very large number of separate clips. I started my tedious workflow and workaround of extracting the audio from each and every clip so the exported movie would have video/audio in sync. The process got progressively slower and slower. At some point about halfway through, when I right clicked on an clip to extract the audio, the spinning beach ball came up and iMovie hung. I restarted and tried again, but the same result. When I restarted again, iMovie would not start. I can double click my first episode project and open it, but the second episode will not load; well, it will load sometimes, but if I do anything with it, including just moving the mouse, spinning beach ball and hung. Searching the Internet, I found recommendations to clear the cache and plist. This didn't help any for me. Sometimes, iMovie will hang when I simply select the project in my project library; sometimes, I can select the project and quickly get to the menus. I tried doing this and duplicating the project, but the duplicated project showed the same symptoms.
Unfortunately, I did not keep backups and I don't know why I didn't with such a large project. I've learned my lesson.
Question: Is there any hope of getting the project to a state where I can salvage it? Anyway to reattach the audio outside of iMovie or something?
I also realize now that iMovie is probably not meant for such large, complex projects. But, the video/audio sync issue doesn't seem to be that hard to reproduce. I have submitted feedback for that.
If I decide to continue using iMovie, I am going to add to my workflow that a project cannot be over x minutes long, export the parts, and combine them with Quicktime.
Question: Are there recommended guidelines for a single project's complexity or length?
I am hoping for some answers here; otherwise, I guess I'll have to start all over and spend the next two days re-editing.

I have the exact same problem here Jason, only in my case the project is merely 15 mins long...
I noticed the audio sync issues on exported files (needed it as a QT HD to play in front of a whole school assembly) about half way through the audio would go miles out - well over a minute adrift.
Having read some posts I decided to detach the audio as you did, it let me do this for a while then about half way through I got the beach ball and likewise I'm now stuck with an urgent essential project that I can't do anything with. This is on a brand new 27" i7 iMac with all the updates, and no other projects. It's like the dark days of Pinnacle on windows, I thought this stuff was supposed to just work!
Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix - I've repaired permissions, tried trashing the iMovie prefs etc but it still hangs every time.

Windows 8 op system. Cannot open premier pro cs6, at all.

It says its fully downloaded, and up to date, but it does not work at all. When I hover the cursor over the name, or icon, it does not even register that its there. Right click does nothing.

Please check whether there is a GPUsniffer.exe in task manager when you launch Premiere. If so, and it terminates right away, it's a clear sign that it thinks your graphics card is not up to speed and it crashes right away, not even proceeding to launch Premiere. Update your graphics card driver and configure it properly then.

For some time, I have had some Aperture problems. It kept saying that there was no more room on my start disc for a while, and when I cleared some space, it seemed to help.....but not for long. Now I cannot even open Aperture, but I just receive this message: there was an error opening the database for the library..(and then the name of my library). I have looked at all the similar advice, and I even tried to repair aperture, but it won't do that either. I have also checked my disc, but it doesn't report any problems. PLEASE HELP!

That is very good news. It shows that Aperture is still working.
Try, if you can repair the old library by importing it into the new library. But that will require additional disk space. How large is your current library? If it is larger than 40Gb your free disk space will not sufficce to merge libraries. It would be best to use an external drive (formatted MacOS X Extended) for the new library.
To import the old library into a new library use the command "File > Import > Library".
If merging does not work, we will have to reconstruct a new library from bits of pieces of the old one, so keep your fingers crossed.

I have gone through Adobe's posted fix for this, the Pictures folder is linked to My Pictures folder. Still no luck, in fact Light room will not open at all. Cannot open any ports, they are ALL stealth.

After spending hours on end trying to open the port 25565 on my Mac and finding that it was always closed I decided to use a different port checker now if I check my ports on Shields Up! 'https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2' it says ALL ports are stealth no matter which I try. How can I 'un-stealth' the port 25565 and open it. On my router's homepage (BTHOMEHUB3 (A)) it says I have set up the port correctly and that it has been applied. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

I assume you're trying to get a process to listen on that port. If so, deactivate the built-in firewall and any third-party firewall you may have installed. If your router has a firewall, deactivate that too.

I cannot open Quick Time Player at all

I am simply trying to open Quick Time Player to record a self video. I go to my Applications folder, click on Quick Time Player. It loads into the dock, I double click on the QTP icon, nothing happens. I right click on the QTP icon and get a mini menu of options that don't seem to apply to opening the program to include nothing in the Options (and there is not a selection of "SHOW" only Show All Windows which merely lists four movies I have on my hard drive. Any suggestions from anyone? Keep it real simple please and assume nothing. I'm of the slide rule era, well before the 8086 days and grew up on the PC. Thanks.

Double-click the QuickTime Player and choose New Movie Recording from the File menu. The QuickTime Player will only have a window open when instructed to do so; the items in the menu bar will change when it's launched.

Cannot open attachments Have compacted & rebuilt all .msf SOLVED caused by Zindus

profile is 12.5 G going back to 2002. Don't go back often, but....
When I click on any attachment a small widow pops up for maybe 1 tenth of a second or less, and disappears. Can't read anything on it.
Compacted, backed up, deleted all .msf files, and restarted. It took a while to rebuild stuff.
Problem is unchanged.
Also, have recently been getting downloads that don't appear in the inbox or anywhere they filter to.
Also, "incorrect greeting" errors
Am worried it is all because I let profile grow too big.
